You wonโt find a closer attachment than what a baby has with their mom, and a babyโs favorite thing has to be the familiarity of their momโs scent, voice, and general appearance. Our moms are the ones who soothed us when we cried, fed us when we were hungry and rocked us to sleep, so it makes perfect sense for babies to be joined at their mamaโs hip.
Momโs New Hair
With that being said, babies like things to be pretty consistent- so if mom gets a new hairstyle, their reaction is always worth watching. So when one mom transformed her hair from brown to pink, she just knew that her sonโs reaction was going to be worth catching on camera. And the little guy certainly doesnโt disappoint!
The sweet video was posted onto YouTube by dad Collin Martin, and has received over 2.2 million views since being shared in 2014.
Titled, โBabyโs Adorable Reaction to Momโs New Hair,โ the cute moment begins as mom Kristan steps out of the car. Her hair is a brilliant pastel pink color, and Collin films from the doorway where himself and and baby August are waiting.

โFirst impressions of Kristanโs new hairโฆโ
Collin narrates, as Augustโs mom makes her way up the driveway. The camera is then turned to August himself, and after only a couple of seconds of appearing confused, the sweet little guyโs face breaks into a huge smile. Phew!
โDo you like it?โ Kristan asks. โDoes mamma look pretty?โ
There was a pause. Then finally a response.
August does the most adorable giggle, before holding out his arms for a cuddle. Weโll take that as a yes!
As soon as heโs up in his mamaโs arms, August simply canโt stop staring at his momโs new hair โdo. Despite looking a little confused, all in all weโd say itโs not a bad reaction (weโve all seen the video of the baby who loses it when her dad shaves his beard off). It seems that Augustโs mom also wasnโt expecting such a positive reaction!
Mom expected a different response
โI thought he would cry,โ Kristen says, looking in bewilderment at August as he smiles back at her. We are then shown another clip, and itโs pretty clear that August is still obsessed with his mamaโs new hair. The sweet little guy simply canโt stop staring at his mom, and every so often he lets out the cutest little giggle.
People took to the comments to share their love for the video, with one person saying, โMom changes her hair colour and/or put on make so that looks completely different person โ Child : *gasp and amused! Still Mommy.* Dad shaves his beard โ Child: *cries! I donโt know this stranger*โ
Another added, โBaby is like โMommy was pretty before, now sheโs a Disney Princess!!โ while a final person said, โOh my goodness! He was blushing from how petty his mommy looked. His reaction is so adorable!โ
