What kind of a driver are you?
Although some of us tend to drive the speed limit, others of us have a bit of a lead foot. Itโs definitely important to be as safe as possible on the roadsโฆ though we still all make mistakes. Every now and then, we speed a little too fast on the way to work or to an appointment. If we get particularly unlucky, we may even get pulled over by a police officer and get a ticket.
Still, it turns out that thereโs a simple way to get out of almost any speeding ticket.

The way to avoid speeding tickets was shared on Ride Brotherhood and is incredibly simple to follow. Are you ready?
The method that they discovered has four steps that anyone can follow.
1. First, all you have to do is look at the signs on the roadโat least one of them should have a number on it. That number is the speed limit!

2. Look in your own car for the speedometer. Although it varies from car to car, it should be right on your dashboard, often right above the steering wheel.

3. Last but not least is the hardest step of all. Make sure that the number on your speedometer is always the same or lower than the numbers on the road!

Ok, ok, so this is common knowledgeโbut itโs still pretty funny, right?
Posts like these end up circulating the web because so many people speed on a daily basis, but few of us actually take into account just how dangerous it can be. According to the NHTSA, traffic costs caused by accidents resulting from speeding account for some $40 billion dollars a year! As a result of all those crashes, somewhere around 13,000 people a year die as well.
With numbers that serious, itโs no wonder why itโs so important to follow speeding laws.

Still, there are some instances of people speeding that donโt end in complete disaster.
Although itโs recommended (for obvious reasons) that everyone follow the rule of the road, there will always be some people who speed anyway. In some cases, they may even film it and post it online. That was the case for vlogger Killakam, who filmed himself riding his motorcycle. Though weโve all been guilty of speeding maybe five or 10 over the limit at some point in our life, this video is far beyond that.
As it turns out, Killakam had been going 130 miles per hour in a 45 zoneโand he got pulled over while doing it.

When the video starts, the motorcycle is parked at an intersection.
As he narrates, thereโs even a police officer right at the corner where the bike is parked. For the beginning of the video, the driver even notes that heโll have to follow the speed limitโhe doesnโt want to get pulled over, after all. Shortly after that, though, he thinks the coast is entirely clear. He pulls up to another stoplight with nothing but open road ahead of him.
At that point, he decides to open it up.

Though nothing bad happens initially, itโs clear that heโs going incredibly fast.
He even jokes that if a police officer pulls him over, he may have to make a run for it because he was going so fast. As it turns out, an officer does pull up behind him! To make matters even worse, the driver doesnโt have his license on him. After a few moments of looking for a safe place to pull off, the driver does so with the officer right behind him.
He takes a deep breath as the officer gets out of the carโand everything is on video.

Although the driver gets a stern telling off, he somehow manages to escape without a ticket.
Still, the results of the encounter are pretty incredible. Despite doing a number of different things drastically wrong on the road, the driver is able to make it away without any tickets and without hurting himself or others. Needless to say, though, not everybody gets so lucky.
As the driver and the officer in the video say as well, that kind of driving is how people get hurt.

While it goes without saying, nobody wants to be told what to do or how to driveโso why not use a little humor to get the message across?
If you know someone who is a lead foot or who otherwise needs a reminder to be a little safer on the road, show them this article. If we can all work together to cut down on speeding and be more conscientious while driving, thereโs no telling how much safer we can make our communities. In the case of the speeding video weโve attached here, nobody was harmedโฆ though thereโs no promise of what might happen the next time.
Stay safe out there on the road, everyone!
