Drums make songs better. Nothing improves music and sound quality quite like the rhythmic beating of drums. Because it’s such a vital part of producing good music and infectious beats, it comes as no surprise that drum lines too have become crucial parts of pep rallies, welcoming ceremonies, and even more formal events that involve introducing teams, VIPs, and so forth.
Being part of a drum line requires intense practice, discipline, and impressive precision and synchronicity. It’s no easy task, marrying beats and synching movement while handling different types of drums and keeping position.
This particular drumline team redefines excellence. Called The Cadets, the all-male team’s routine consists of marching in time with the beat while staying in position and maintaining the right tempo and volume. Watching closely, you’ll see just how skilled each drum player is with the way all the drumsticks seem to fly and twirl in the air in perfect order.
Their coach keeps a close eye on each line of the formation, paying close attention to the choreography, the arrangement, and the overall production. Without missing a beat, the boys of The Cadets remain unaffected by the sweltering heat as they practice topless. Clad only in shorts, caps, and sneakers, the team impressively kept time with each other as they produced beats similar to bass-heavy techno trance songs.
