They shared a music video where they were parodying the song Safety Dance – a 1982 song by Men Without Hats. They also named the video – Alaska Safety Dance.

“At Alaska, we love safety so much, our employees made a music video about it. Watch the #AlaskaSafetyDance and find out how to safely get back out there in spring and summer 2021,” they wrote in the video description.

Apparently, thousands of people liked their presentation.

They want to remind everyone that before they could fly with them, they are strictly required to wear their face masks. And they presented this in the most adorable way.

“Well your friends don’t mask and why don’t they mask? Well, they won’t fly this airline.”

They also made sure to let other people know that their airplanes are being refreshed every 2 minutes.

Look at that cute dance step!

It was directed by Warren Fu – who has already worked with big stars such as Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Daft Punk, and HAIM. No wonder why it’s totally cool!

Moreover, Director Warren shared his thoughts about making this video.

“It was refreshing to work on a project with some much-needed levity after such a challenging year. You can highlight the importance of safety and still have fun with it. I hope the uplifting energy and enthusiasm showcased by our Alaska Airlines employee talent brings a smile to people’s faces,” he said.

The employees who participated in the video really worked hard in making the whole video.

They were chosen based on their ability and willingness to dance it all out. Some of them are also part of the Alaska Flight Attendant Drill Team.

All of them practiced so hard so they could produce a flawless performance. They were asked to practice at home before they did it on set. They also had an 8-hour dress rehearsal where they perfected the whole dance with the help of the choreographer.

They filmed the video for over 2 days at Alaska Maintenance Hangar in Seattle.

While filming it, all of them also made sure that they followed all the safety measures. Natalie, a Horizon Air flight attendant in Seattle shared her experience while filming the clip.

“From the director to the choreography, the cameras, the music, makeup and hair artists and so on it was like being on the set of a movie,” she said.

It means that they really prepared this video for the safety of everyone.
