Just because youโre an average adult, doesnโt mean you canโt still be a showstopper. Jocelyn Delmar is a figure skater whoโs living proof of this. After all, she doesnโt just glide around on the ice during open skate nights โ she actually participates in competitions and dazzles crowds.

Delmar loves being on the ice, and the music just adds to that vibrant mood as she begins her routine to the cheers of her audience. Itโs obvious they know from the start that theyโre in for a real treat.
No, sheโs not like those pros who seem to glide on air and hit unbelievable jumps and spins but Delmar is out there doing what she loves. The ice may be cold but her smile is warm.

โA Treatise on Skating (1772) by Robert Jones, an Englishman, is apparently the first account of figure skating. The sport had a cramped and formal style until American Jackson Haines introduced his free and expressive techniques based on dance movement in the mid-1860s. Although popular in Europe, Hainesโs style (called the International style) did not catch on in the United States until long after he had died at the age of 35.โ

Delmar seems to be having a blast out on the ice (and we donโt blame her).
Jocelyn doesnโt shy away from doing what she loves. Though she may experience jitters like even professionals might, she gets up and still skates her heart out.
Itโs skaters like her that make sure the sport stays. Kids everywhere will see that one doesnโt need to be a total expert to rock a competition. By combining hard work, skills, and a good attitude โ the crowd will surely be dazzled.
