The adhesive bandage is one of the greatest things since even before sliced bread. But if youโre tired of them slipping off your fingers, this brilliant trick will help keep them in place.
On an episode of The Doctors, Dr. Travis Stork provided the simple steps which require nothing more than your adhesive bandage and a pair of scissors.

What would we do without sticky bandages? Theyโve helped save the day many times for all those little cuts, and if youโre a mom, you likely have gone through boxes of them over the years.
Although itโs hard to imagine not having a slew of these handy tools in your bathroom cabinet, there was a time when self-medical care wasnโt so easy. But thanks to the company Johnson & Johnson, the very first Band-Aids came to market in 1921.

Band-Aids have some interesting history.
According to their website, the idea came from one of the companyโs cotton buyers, Earle Dickson. To help his wife Josephine (who was always hurting herself while cooking) โ Earle created the beginning versions of BAND-AIDยฎ Brand Adhesive Bandages using gauze, crinoline fabric, and adhesive tape, which he prepared ahead of time.
Earle shared the clever idea with his boss, leading to the release of BAND-AIDยฎ Brand Adhesive Bandages from Johnson & Johnson! He had a great career with the company and eventually became their Vice President.

There are many benefits to adhesive bandages. Although sometimes, keeping them on your fingers can be a pain. Handwashing and housework are just two examples that can lead to one slipping off and going who knows where (yuck).
Itโs time to stop getting frustrated and grab a pair of scissors. With just a couple of cuts, youโll be surprised how much more of a tight fit you can achieve when placing one around your finger.
Youโre not going to forget this viral bandage hack.

On an episode of The Doctors, they shared a technique thatโs been sweeping the internet. So the next time youโre needing a finger bandage hereโs what you have to do.
Dr. Stork explains how you take scissors and simply put a cut in both ends of the adhesive bandage (on the sticky portions). The photo below will show you what it should look like.

When it comes to wrapping it around your finger โ youโre going to cross the bottom strips diagonally on your finger. Then, the top ones will be wrapped going straight across. Voila, youโre all done.
The results? A โsnug fitโ that is said to help keep the bandage where itโs supposed to be. Even the doctors couldnโt get over how simple and brilliant the trick was.

After Dr. Stork tried it out for himself, he expressed, โit is so much more secure.โ Dr. Ordon then shared how it would be really helpful in their field.
โFor us, if we have a nick and we have to scrub and wear our gloves and all that. Nine times out of 10 you have a problem keeping the Band-Aid on.โ
