The judges first suspected something was up when Adaline announced she had to go backstage and change real quick before she got started. When she reemerged from behind the curtains, she was wearing an outfit that was split right down the middle.

On the left side of her body, she had on a tuxedo, and on her right side, a beautiful flowing dress.

Her hair was done up much the same, with one side long and luscious, and the other side short and neat.

The judges looked on in anticipation.

“Is she going to do both parts? Oh my god,” Julianne Hough can be heard saying.

They soon found out.

Adaline turned to one side showing only her short hair and tuxedo and began singing in a deep male voice.

The song she chose to perform was a duet version of “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.

After the first male parts of the song were completed, she then moved to the other side of the stage and faced the other direction showing only her dress and long hair.

She belted out the next section of the track in her own normal female voice.

It was a beautiful surprise that had both the judges and audience in stitches.

Everyone absolutely loved it. Not only was the performance hilarious, but Adaline is also quite an amazing singer as well. Her range is incredible!

Back and forth Adaline went, singing both the male and female parts of the duet until ultimately she finished as herself, an amazing female vocalist. The crowd gave her a massive standing ovation and everyone got out of their seats to applaud her, including judge Simon Cowell.

“I love being surprised, and Julianne said, ‘am I supposed to laugh or is it good?’. I said, it’s both, it’s funny but good,” commented Simon.

It’s not often that someone is able to impress Simon, but Adaline definitely succeeded.

Juliane thought it was great too.

“This so fun and entertaining and what we are looking for in this day and age is to feel good,” said Juliane.

“And that’s what it’s meant to do,” explained Adaline. Her feel-good performance was something everyone could appreciate.

When Adaline first stepped to the stage, she had mentioned that she spent her whole life raising her kids.

Now that she finally had some “me time” again, she wanted to use it to fulfill her dreams of singing for an audience.

She certainly succeeded on that front.

“At 63 she came out on this stage and did not one but two performances. I love that this is what your me time looks like,” judge Gabrielle Union joked.

It was certainly one of the coolest duets we have ever heard, and we are so glad Adaline finally got the chance to share her talents with us, even if she had to wait until her 63rd birthday to do it.

It was a performance that lovers of America’s Got Talent will be talking about for many years to come and one that judges definitely approved of as well.

All four of the celebrity judges unanimously said “yes” sending Adaline on to the next round of the competition. It will be very exciting to see more of her as this year’s season progresses!
