The video, originally posted on Facebook by Michael and Michelle Graham, features

94-year-old Roy Beller, a United States Army Air Corps veteran.

He wanted to have as much fun as his grandkids who were going up and down the slide and made it known that he needed some help to get it done!

“When your 94-year-old Papa says I’m going down the water slide that means he’s going down the water slide! I love him so much and hope to be half the man he has been through his life.” -Michael Graham

You can see multiple family members helping Roy out as he climbs the waterslide ladder, making sure everything is just right and going smoothly!

Michael himself is right behind Roy, holding onto him when he needs it and helping him to climb the ladder.

Once they’re at the top and Roy is settled,

Michael even puts his hat on him!

“The interesting thing was that slide was his idea. We were sitting in the pool and I helped him get down into the pool. He goes to get out and went over… I thought he was wanting to go get in the chair. And I said ‘Do you want to get over to the chair?’ and he said, ‘No, I’m going to go down that water slide.'”

Roy was truly a man with a mission

which makes sense considering his career!

Michael immediately got his sons over to come and help ensure Roy could get up the ladder safely and enjoy his ride down!

Needless to say, the internet absolutely loved the video, although just how much was a surprise of the Grahams!

It’s already been viewed over 8 million times

and shared over 200 thousand! All of that since only July 5th! Check out some of these comments from Facebook:

“Wooohooo get it grandpa!! U reached Tecumseh Oklahoma!! Lol” -Kayla Price

“I actually posted it out there thinking that the whole family would all see the video and be excited about watching him go down. I figured it would get a few hundred views. But when it hit a million, I called them up and said ‘Well, you got a million views’ and he said ‘Why in the world would a million people want to watch me going down a slide?’

“I said two things that I see. One is people were really excited to see someone of your age still active and doing things.

“Then the other is there’s been lots of comments, how much people can see the love in the family.

“And that’s always been a big part of our life. He is the patriarch of the family and everybody gets together and has eachother’s back.”

It sounds like a pretty amazing family!

Not too many families have that kind of bond and understanding among so many people!

And while plenty of families love each other, some don’t know exactly what that means. But the Grahams were lucky enough to see it firsthand from Roy and his wife. Roy’s wife had struggled with Alzheimer’s for the last fifteen years of her life.

Roy cared for her right to the end, despite the physical toll it took on him.

“That’s when I saw what I would call the kind of love that you show to your spouse and to your family, and always being there no matter what you gotta go through.” -Michael Graham

Michael carried the philosophy of his family’s love into all aspects of his life. He’s trying to bring that love back into the world and believes that we have kind of forgotten how to love each other.

Honestly, looking at the world and our discourse right now? I think he might be right.

“If you have the right people in your life and you know, you have that love for one another. And I think everybody’s just sick and tired of seeing, you know, all the hate and discontent that people are showing towards one another, instead of being able to just love on each other and be there for one another.”

Seriously wise words.

Obviously he had a good teacher!

With that, Michael has also made some pretty funny videos talking about why looking down on someone for their political, religious, life views etc. is no longer agreeable and if you’re doing that… Well… “You might be a bonehead!”
