Traveling is not always such a fun experience. Especially when you’re flying for a while — so many things can go wrong and most of the time, it’s not something people really look forward to.
Flights can be delayed (or worse, canceled), it can be a rocky flight, there can be crying babies on the plane, lots of anxiety can arise, you can feel sick or dehydrated, there can be someone taking up way too much leg room next to you, or you can be stuck in a very inconvenient seat. For most people, traveling is nothing more than purgatory until they reach their destination.
However, because traveling is such an exhausting task, the smallest details can completely turn around your experience. When you are having an especially bad travel day, one nice person or gesture can go a very long way.
Airlines offer special seating like first, business or luxury class in order to ease your travel experience but of course, these comfortable seats come at a not-so-affordable price. Sometimes, people who really need the special seating simply cannot afford it.
Sometimes though, a special passenger comes along and helps someone out.
A passenger named Jack was on a Virgin Atlantic flight from New York to London and had a first-class seat. However, it wasn’t long until he offered his seat to an 88-year-old woman named Violet, who was originally sitting in economy.
For flight attendant Leah Amy, these two went on to become her “favorite passengers ever.” That especially means a lot considering that Leah has met just about everyone you can think of on flights — models, professional athletes, movie stars, you name it.
Jack was traveling with his family and had bought first-class seats, but when he was boarding the flight he did not take his seat. Instead, he found Violet and offered the seat to her instead.
Eglė Jasonaitė, a cabin crew member at a well-known airline, told Bored Panda: “In one of the flights I was operating, a passenger flying economy had recently had surgery done on their leg and a man from business class offered his seat. It happens, though not often.”
While things like this aren’t completely out of the blue, they are most certainly rare. It takes a person who is aware and has great character to notice someone who truly needs it more than they do.
To make the story even cuter, it has been a lifelong dream for Violet to ride in the very front of the plane.
While Violet enjoyed the luxurious new seat, Jack went and sat in her seat which was located in the back by the toilets. According to the flight attendant, he was a wonderful sport about it and did not start a whole show out of it.

“No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart,” Leah said.
Leah wrote a whole post on how the story went down and it quickly went viral on Facebook. She wanted to acknowledge Jack, who acted out of the kindness of his heart, and he is now most certainly recognized!
“You should of seen her face, when I tucked her in her bed after supper. She said her daughter won’t believe her, and wanted a ‘selfie’ to prove it,” Leah continued to write.

The world can be scary sometimes, but there are also some wonderful people who still make our days and continue to give us hope!
