When it comes to the food that we consume today we have taken on the concept with out with the old and in with the new. Meaning that a lot of the ingredients that were used in old-time recipes have been replaced with more modern and exciting ones. Not to mention that in some cases healthier ones. Here is a collection of old-time recipes that may by todayโs standards seem a little strange. Even though many of them are ones that we still do use the recipes for they have been signifcantly modified.


1)Tuna and Jell-o Pie
The thought of combining jello with tuna is one that is just too much to bear for sompe people. A tuna sandwitch followed with a bowl of jello for desert may be okay but not having them both on the same plate.

With the ability to be able to buy all different types of crackers not many are going to resort to a rice cereal to make what can be easily bought and ones that are made with more modern ingredients.

There are some people who have forgiving tastebuds and maybe would find a mixture of bananas in hollandaise sauce to be spread over boiled ham appealing. Chances are there are a whole lot who would not.

Nobody likes to waste foods and when there are leftovers it is nice to be creative. But mixing cream cheese with leftover ham maybe just a little too much.
