Some streetscapes and public spaces can be pretty bland looking. And some go even further and look downright depressing. But there are some minds that see beauty, art, and even humor in these seemingly ordinary spots.
These people are referred to as vandals by some. But their work is more like street art than vandalism. These vandals leave these spaces a lot better than when they were found.
They make the ordinary, extraordinary. They make us laugh. And their creativity brings us a little more joy. I mean, some of it is just plain vandalism but at least it’s funny.
A person who works at Best Buy was walking though the game aisle when they saw this. Someone put googly eyes on this game. And now it looks hilarious. It totally made that Best Buy employee’s day.
Sometimes it’s the little things that bring us the most joy. This work of art could easily be overlooked. But when you get a closer look, you’ll smile realizing it’s Ant Man battling Yellow Jacket.
This is a men’s bathroom. This is a bathroom light. Some genius human put this sticker on the bathroom light to look at like a scene from the movie ET.
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality says that thousands of men will die this year from stubborness. Or refusing to get preventative medical testing. Men beg to differ.
This bus stop has some shattered glass. Someone thought of a backstory about what could have happened here. Celine Dion was obviously there and sang so beautifully and so powerfully that the glass shattered. That’s obviously what happened.
This caution sign looks like there are three snakes coming after this guy. They are so violent he is falling to the ground. One of every three snakes are assholes like that.
This McDonald’s advertisement said “Keep your friends close and keep your fries closer.” But someone seemed to disagree with that statement. So they changed it to: “Keep your fries, you loser.”
This is hilarious. But it could actually be dangerous. If you have to solve for X to figure out the speed limit, you’re probably going to have a lot of people who aren’t going the speed limit.
This railing has a sharp drop to it. It was obviously meant to be an adventure for Calvin and Hobbes. These two buddies decided to go flying down it in their wagon.
This used to just be an ordinary crosswalk. Now it’s a “Rosswalk.” Just make sure you use the Rosswalk and don’t go walking in the middle of the street talking about dinosaurs.
People in this town need to be careful when they’re crossing the streets. That’s because there are a lot of aliens in the area. They don’t want to get abducted.
What was once an ordinary street cap has been transformed into a tropical fruit. It’s a pineapple. I don’t think anyone manipulated this. I think the grass grew all on its own. The grass is the vandal here.
Not sure if someone planted this greenery in this missing brick or if it grew on its’ own. But someone saw a tiny rainforest in it. And it seems that they were pretty excited about it.
I have to say that yoyo vandalism is the best kind of vandalism. This statue looked so mean and tough beforehand. Now he just looks like he’s having a good time.
