Some streetscapes and public spaces can be pretty bland looking. And some go even further and look downright depressing. But there are some minds that see beauty, art, and even humor in these seemingly ordinary spots.

These people are referred to as vandals by some. But their work is more like street art than vandalism. These vandals leave these spaces a lot better than when they were found.

They make the ordinary, extraordinary. They make us laugh. And their creativity brings us a little more joy. I mean, some of it is just plain vandalism but at least it’s funny.

1) When You See An Alien And You’re Like…

A person who works at Best Buy was walking though the game aisle when they saw this. Someone put googly eyes on this game. And now it looks hilarious. It totally made that Best Buy employee’s day.

2) Ant Man vs. Yellow Jacket

Sometimes it’s the little things that bring us the most joy. This work of art could easily be overlooked. But when you get a closer look, you’ll smile realizing it’s Ant Man battling Yellow Jacket.

3) Pee Limit

Does your town have a pee limit? This town does. The pee limit on this street is 25 mph. That’s some fast pee.

4) ET is in the Bathroom

This is a men’s bathroom. This is a bathroom light. Some genius human put this sticker on the bathroom light to look at like a scene from the movie ET.

5) Sex It Up

You could exit. Or you could sex it up. I prefer the latter.

6) Cookie Monster Bin

Some people just saw a garbage bin. But one person saw something else. He saw Cookie Monster.

7) Minion Hydrant

This was once a yellow fire hydrant. Now it’s a Minion. All it needed was a blue tank top, purple dish gloves, and that weird eye contraption.

8) No We Won’t

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality says that thousands of men will die this year from stubborness. Or refusing to get preventative medical testing. Men beg to differ.

9) Pac Man

This building was decorated with red spots. They look like Pac Man food. So, he was bound to show up sooner or later.

10) Cars

When this snow storm hit, a string of cars were vandalized. Vandalized with cuteness. Now these cars really have personality.

11) Do Not Touch

Stay away from the rope. This flower is on display. Please do not touch.

12) A Glass Shattering Voice

This bus stop has some shattered glass. Someone thought of a backstory about what could have happened here. Celine Dion was obviously there and sang so beautifully and so powerfully that the glass shattered. That’s obviously what happened.

13) 1 Out of 3 Snakes

This caution sign looks like there are three snakes coming after this guy. They are so violent he is falling to the ground. One of every three snakes are assholes like that.

14) Neighbourhood Watch

This neighborhood has special protection. V.I.P. protection. That’s because Batman heads their neighborhood watch.

15) Bruce Lee Vandalism

I didn’t know Bruce Lee was a vandal. I didn’t know that he just runs around martial arts kicking public property. I didn’t know he was that strong.

This hand dryer has a diagram so you know how to use it. Or does it? Is it just telling you to applaud the jellyfish?

18) Keep Your Fries

This McDonald’s advertisement said “Keep your friends close and keep your fries closer.” But someone seemed to disagree with that statement. So they changed it to: “Keep your fries, you loser.”

19) Pac Man

Here we have Pac Man at it again. There was a half line. So he figured he’d eat the rest of it.

20) Solve It For X

This is hilarious. But it could actually be dangerous. If you have to solve for X to figure out the speed limit, you’re probably going to have a lot of people who aren’t going the speed limit.

21) Calivn and Hobbes Railing

This railing has a sharp drop to it. It was obviously meant to be an adventure for Calvin and Hobbes. These two buddies decided to go flying down it in their wagon.

22) Tree Crack

This was an ugly crack in the sidewalk. Someone decided to jazz it up. Now it looks like a tree.

23) Stairway 2

I wonder how long this sign was up before it was vandalized. Properly vandalized. This was bound to happen.

I thought dogs go: “woof.” I guess “roof” works too. Either way, this is adorable.

This bench was busted. Obviously someone of great strength broke it. It must have been Chuck Norris.

Once this was just an ugly grate. Now it’s a cute fish bone. All it took was some spray paint.

This used to just be an ordinary crosswalk. Now it’s a “Rosswalk.” Just make sure you use the Rosswalk and don’t go walking in the middle of the street talking about dinosaurs.

On the left we have an evil Leprechaun. On the right a happy one. They are the same Leprechaun. One just had some eyebrows drawn on him.

People in this town need to be careful when they’re crossing the streets. That’s because there are a lot of aliens in the area. They don’t want to get abducted.

34) Pineapple Cap

What was once an ordinary street cap has been transformed into a tropical fruit. It’s a pineapple. I don’t think anyone manipulated this. I think the grass grew all on its own. The grass is the vandal here.

Simple, yet hilarious. Juvenile but jouyful. I love it.

Entry to this road is prohibited. They’ll know if you ignore this sign. This guy is watching you.

This train was vandalized in the best way. He had some overalls painted on it. Now it’s a Minion.

Looks like some ordinary steps right? Well, not if you have a fun imagination. Now they are piano keys.

This garbage recepticle thanks you for feeding it trash. But someone saw a V.I.P’as initials instead. They see it as T. Hanks, as in Tom Hanks.

This was just an unpleasant looking utility box. Now it looks like an old school personal gaming system. It looks like a Game Boy.

Please take caution in this area. This is a kangaroo skiing zone. You don’t want to get run over.

This was a nasty crack in the wall. Then Spider-Man came along. Now it’s one of his webs.

This light needed an attitude adjustment. So someone gave him some googly eyes. They also gave him a nice smile.

70) Cow Abudction

These street posts kind of just blended in. Now they look really cool. Like a UFOs coming to abduct this cow.

71) Tiny Forest

Not sure if someone planted this greenery in this missing brick or if it grew on its’ own. But someone saw a tiny rainforest in it. And it seems that they were pretty excited about it.

72) Tree Creature

Someone felt that this tree looked kind of scary. So they made it even scarier. They put some glowing eyes on it.

Here we have King Kong climbing up the side of a building. But not really. That’s just as exposed building corner where concrete chipped off.

74) Dirty Alligator

This truck was super dirty. But it made for a really great canvas. Someone made an alligator out of all that dirt.

75) Yoyo Vandalism

I have to say that yoyo vandalism is the best kind of vandalism. This statue looked so mean and tough beforehand. Now he just looks like he’s having a good time.
