As time passes and we grow older, we become more conscious of how we look. For women, this feeling of aging is often experienced quite more intensely than the men.
And that’s why women have a completely different attitude towards time than men, they often try to fight the “passing” of time, by spending quite a lot of money monthly on anti-aging procedures such as botox, liposuction, face creams, and youth spas.

However, according to Psychology Today, “women’s body images actually become more positive as they move from their twenties and thirties into middle age”. And that is probably because women’s general life satisfaction increases with age, they tend to be at ease with themselves and happier.
Of course, that doesn’t erase their need to look good and boost their overall confidence.

Therefore, it’s not random at all this quote by the famous Dame, Helen Mirren, who said “Your 40s are good. Your 50s are great. Your 60s are fab. And 70 is f*@king awesome!”

In our story today, we have a “young” soul from Boston, Massachusettes. Meet Sandy, a 73-year-old woman who felt the need to do something different with her look in order to give herself a healthy dose of glam and sassiness!
Thus she found herself traveling to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and in the hands of Christopher Hopkins’ and his amazing makeover skills.

Christopher Hopkins, known as The Makeover Guy, is popular for changing the lives of many men and women across the country, who seek a little adventure and something special. In his hands, they receive the most uplifting makeovers that leave everyone watching speechless.

As Sandy admitted during her pre-makeover interview, “Feeling a little tired as I get older, so I just need a little oomph.”
And how many women would go ahead and agree with her? Aging doesn’t mean that our vanity as women goes away. Sandy’s attitude towards life is quite healthy for a woman at her age.

As we see in the video, Sandy has actually quite long hair which she, unfortunately, doesn’t really like. And here is where Christopher and his special talents come in handy!
The result is incredible and Sandy really looks much younger. The shorter hairstyle with the blondish highlights has definitely added to her that playfulness and sparkle that was missing. Of course, let’s not forget the subtle makeup that augments her “youthfulness”.

Sandy was impressed by the final result and she confessed she felt terrific, she even added that “I might have to hit some guy up. Anyone wanna go dancing?”.

It is so inspiring to see seniors having such a positive attitude towards life and having the will to experience every single moment to the fullest! One could argue that younger generations should feel encouraged to follow their example, as we tend to overstress by the demands of life, and really confusing at the end what is important and what’s not.
