When something is cute, we usually reply with “Aaw!” and could not stop gushing. Some people say that tiny things are cute, while some people say that fluffy things are cute. Well, we all have different ways of seeing things as cute. And at times, what may be cute for you, may not always be cute for others.
These photos show 73 moments when people were caught on camera as they handle really cute things on the palm of their hands. The question is: Will you find these things cute, too?
Now, there are people who will not be in the same room with any sort of bug, without exception. If you are one of these, move on to the next one. Everyone else, you have to admit that this little guy looks nothing like the intimidating adult praying mantis, right? It’s not too hard to call him cute, right?
No, it’s not the Easter bunny, but it could be his cousin. He doesn’t hop on two feet or carry a basket of chocolate eggs, but he will let you pet him.
I’m not sure how old he is, but we can all agree that both adult and puppy silky terriers are very high on the scale of cuteness. Is it their small size? Is it their smooth fur? Perhaps it’s both.
#4 Another win for the ragdolls
This one is a little younger and has a white fur coat with cool black stains on her ears and nose. You’ve got to love the blue eyes, right?
I mean, it’s not hard to see why. This one is no more than a few weeks old but still has those gorgeous blue eyes. Look at her tiny paws and almost nonexistent claws. Aw 😊
Unlike most cat breeds that tend to be snobbish, ragdolls are more affectionate without demanding much in return. They’re almost like dogs. If you’re looking for an excuse to get one, just look at this bundle of cuteness.
They all look so fragile. It just makes you want to grab them softly and rock them to sleep. Are all kittens this adorable?
He may look spiky, but that does not make him less cute. What a little darling!
#9 It’s a ragdoll but cuter
Just look at how well this little one fits into his palms. They always look so angelic when sleeping.
Boston Terriers are one of the calmer dog breeds out there. However, they do tend to be very stubborn and need lots of training to be a good family pet. Before you get to deal with all of that, there’s this little bundle of cuteness.
Now, this one is a bit tricky. There aren’t many people out there who are willing to grab slimy adult frogs with their bare hands. However, there are smaller species that aren’t hard to look at or touch. Take this one, for example.
It’s hard to imagine one until you actually see it. It’s hard not to have questions. Are they born with all those spikes? He is cute, though.
These kittens are young, but you can tell they have that dismissive attitude that most adult cats are known for. We still can’t help but love them.
Both adult and young hamsters are cute. If you think they aren’t cute, I don’t believe you.
There are many breeds of birds that rank badly on the cute scale, like vultures. Owls aren’t one of those. Just look at this one with its eyes wide open, and it fits in one hand. It’s adorable.
#16 African land hermit crab
This is one of those debatable ones. Yes, it is small and has a pretty shell, but those hairy legs make it hard to use the word cute. It does make you curious, though.
Ferrets can get feisty, and they can get into a lot of trouble if left unsupervised. However, they have their adorable moments too.
There’s something satisfying about seeing or feeling the soft fur of a newborn puppy. They just feel so clean and fragile.
It’s easy to mistake them for mice, but they aren’t mice. The adults are small, and the pups are even smaller and cuter.
First, not all rabbits are white. Also, it’s interesting to see how little fur they actually have when they are born. It’s so adorable
It’s debatable. It depends on how much of your life you’ve spent in the outdoors. I imagine people who have never seen one in person may be hesitant to use the word cute for these.
Obviously, this isn’t one that fits in the palm of one’s hand, but it technically is still being held by one hand. Cats are cute; there’s no denying that.
Unlike the one we saw before, this one has brightly colored fur and appears to be at least a few weeks old. He still looks nothing like an adult rabbit, but he does look adorable as he sleeps.
#24 Reptiles can be cute too
Again, it depends on you. There are many people who could argue that anything that resembles a snake is not cute. This savannah monitor is young and harmless.
Could you identify this tiny thing as a squirrel without him being labeled? Squirrels are furry and super fast. It’s hard to imagine being able to hold one in your palm.
Hedgehogs are a different kind of cute. Unlike hamsters, mice, rabbits, and gerbils, they don’t have fur. They kind of remind you of naked mole rats but with prickly spines. They do look harmless and adorable when they are young.
This is one a lot older than the previous two and has lots of fur. She looks like a fluffy toy you can buy at the store. It’s adorable.
They kind of look like a chicken’s chicks would. Their feathers are both yellow before they grow up.
Adult dolphins are the sort of animals that can make you smile just by looking at them. So how can you not feel the same way when looking at their babies?
Now, wild adult rats are nothing short of a nuisance. They cause more harm than good. It’s hard to call them cute. Their innocent babies, however, are another story altogether.
Achatinas are smaller than most species of snails or slugs. Understandably, not everyone will be very comfortable with one as a pet, but you can’t deny that this one looks adorable with that tiny shell.
The first thing you notice is the rounded ears. Add in her small size and fur; and it’s hard to not to experience love at first sight.
Unlike most reptiles, turtles are easy to be around. Maybe it has something to do with how slow they are; they just don’t feel dangerous. Look at that little one.
Four of them can fit in your palm without much of a problem. They’re all comfortable and asleep, clueless about how big the world is.
It’s those round ears that do the trick. He looks so harmless and goofy. What’s not to love?
#36 African pygmy hedgehog
Here is another hedgehog. She’s not cute in the way a furry animal would be, but she is still cute and adorable.
Of course, kittens are cute. They are even more adorable when they start to be playful, messing around with your fingers and toes or wrestling your socks.
Russian blue cats have this regal aura about them. They don’t really have to do much other than sit there, and you can see it. Even their kittens have that. Just look at this little kitten sleep.
The same story as before, only this one has a brighter shell and an almost see-through skin tone. Looking at this person’s fingers really puts into perspective how small it really is.
Hamsters, regardless of age or size, are adorable. They way they move and eat; it’s all adorable. This one is clearly well fed.
It’s hard to imagine a duckling that is anything short of cute and adorable. This one definitely proves that.
Did you know that some people argue that the plural of the platypus is platypodes? Their oily fur is meant to keep them dry as they swim through water, but it also makes them look cuter.
You immediately notice how big the head is in proportion to the rest of the body. You’d also be forgiven for thinking this was a mouse.
This is a plain old chick, nothing more than a few weeks old. His dark eyes and chubby tummy make him look like a character in a cartoon.
The multicolored fur really makes this one look special. It is adorable.
The ones we’ve seen so far weren’t even old enough to open their eyes. This one appears to be at least a few weeks old. It’s perfect how the spikes are all curled up like a little blanket keeping them warm.
It’s hard not to like puppies, regardless of how old they are. The soft fur they have immediately after birth really makes them look more fragile than they really are.
Those eyes alone earn this kitten more cute points than anything else. The folded paws coupled with that expression of curiosity are just icing on the cake.
If you’ve never seen an adult one before, the name just doesn’t make sense at all. The baby looks like your average lizard. The full bearded effect comes later.
#50 A fully grown squirrel
I’m curious as to how they pulled this one-off. Squirrels are fast and scared of humans. I doubt they are easy to domesticate. But then again, I don’t think having pet squirrels is that hard to imagine. I can think of more improbable examples, like tigers.
This one doesn’t look like he is more than a few days old. His eyes haven’t opened yet, but he’s already cute.
There’s something about Sphynx cats that make you think of the ancient Egyptian god Annubis. The fact that they don’t have fur makes them less appealing to some, but many people actually prefer it.
It looks nothing like the possums we know. The fur has this soft and clean air to it. It makes sense; he probably hasn’t had the chance to play outside yet.
Okay, I’ll be honest. That’s a sugar glider, not a possum. Can you spot the difference when they’re at this age?
Well, they do fit in one’s palm. I doubt cute describes what we’re looking at, at least not entirely. At least they can’t do much now, other than imagine how dangerous they will become when they grow up.
The tail hasn’t fully grown yet, but it will turn into that white cotton ball rabbits are known to have. It looks so peaceful there, doesn’t it?
It almost looks like a shrunken hippo, but it’s not. It’s not a baby guinea pig either. This is what happens when you shave an adult guinea pig.
There are several things about bats that can’t be described as cute. However, this one wrapped into a burrito isn’t exactly hard to look at.
One thing that really draws out the cuteness in baby hedgehogs is their white spikes. As they get older, they develop black stripes and stains that make them look dangerous. Right now, it just looks like it’s wearing a white coat and hugging someone’s palm, nothing dangerous here.
I don’t really need to say much here. Puppies are hard to hate. Even people who generally hate dogs make exceptions for puppies; they just can’t help themselves.
He’s not a puppy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be cute. Looking a little confused only adds to the adorableness in this case.
Just look at him raising his paws into the air like he’s trying to reach for the sky. This right here is the kind of cute we can all stand behind.
Owls have this calm and collected wise look to them. Owlets, on the other hand, have a more adorable curious look to them, like they’re eager to learn all the world’s secrets.
They’re both adorable, but one of these two definitely looks like he might be the more mischievous one.
If you didn’t know he was a bat, you could easily mistake him for something else. All the vampire movies must be wrong, because this guy is not scary.
With her paws held together like that, it looks like she’s politely begging for carrots. We hope all the carrots she wants are provided.
Unlike the ducklings and other chicks we’ve seen so far, this one is black before growing up. Judging by her size, you could easily hold three more in the same palm without much of a fuss.
Adult pigs are cute in theory, but they have a few things going against them. Piglets, on the other hand, are just plain cute.
Not your usual cutie, but this octopus sure is tiny and really adorable! A bit slimy, yes, but still cute.
The round shape they have when they inflate makes them look less like fish and more like a chubby rodent. Do not be fooled by their cuteness. The poison in one of these is enough to kill an adult.

It almost feels like holding a fire-breathing dragon in the palm of your hand. So, cute? Yes. Cool? Double yes.
#71 What big ears you have
This is a fennec fox. They are almost no different from a dog’s puppies, but the ears stand out. These have a sharp look that brings out a very different kind of cute that we haven’t seen in this list yet.
In case it wasn’t clear how big those ears are, just compare them to the rest of his body. Those are huge ears, and they aren’t just for show. Foxes have an excellent sense of hearing for obvious reasons.
If you don’t live on a tropical island, you’ve probably never run into a lemur before. It’s even less likely that you’ve seen a baby lemur drink milk out of a bottle.
