We sometimes forget that celebrities were once normal people just like us. That they had jobs they hated and sometimes struggled financially, to the point of desperation.
Here’s a list of 70 celebrities, and the jobs they had before they became famous and started making lots of money. A lot of the jobs are very commonly Quaker saying are working at McDonald’s, but some are also quite unbelievable. And in some cases, they may explain the famous person we now know.
1. Steve Buscemi
Buscemi was a firefighter in New York City’s Little Italy from 1980 to 1984. After 9/11 he returned as a volunteer and worked 12 hours shifts for a week.
2. Christopher Walken
Walken was a child actor, but he had another gig. When he was 16 he worked as a lion tamer at a circus.

For a funny guy, he had a morbid job. He would style the hair of female corpes before their burial
4. Harrison Ford
Before becoming famous, Ford was a carpenter. And the story goes that it was this skill that helped him to land the part in Star Wars.
5. Christopher Lee
Before becoming an actor, he was served in the Royal Air Force. He served as an intelligence officer and was the liaison for the Special Operations Executive.
6. Johnny Depp
Johnny’s life has been something of a roller coaster, hasn’t it? Before becoming a Hollywood star he was a telemarketer who hated his job. And now…

Not a job, but her life sure changed. Before stardom, she was just an army cadet like many other students.

Murray had a diverse work history. Before National Lampoon he worked selling chestnuts outside of a grocery store and also worked as a golf caddy.

He was a Jedi Master, gifted in the powers of the Force. But he trained to be a teacher. I don’t think I would have liked a Jedi teacher. No fooling them.
She had a varied powerhouse. She worked as a secretary, a hostess and as an aerobics instructor. I bet that last one has helped her with some of her own stunts.
I’m not sure about this job. Apparently he used to make Christmas decorations. Would that be mass-market decorations, or unique one-of-a-kind decorations?
