If you search “Who Run The World (Girls) Dance” on Google, you are bound to get hundreds, if not thousands, of results. This is for two reasons: 1.) It is a great song and Beyoncé slays forever and 2.) It is the perfect, most empowering song to choreograph a dance to.

There are a lot of great dances that have been made to go with the 2011 single, but there is one in particular that is really worthy of some serious praise.

In 2014, Mather Dance Company uploaded a video of junior jazz dancers who performed using the song and ended up getting first place.

The routine was choreographed by Meghan McGrath of Mather Dance Company. The dancers are Haley Alzona, Miabella Gonzales, Autumn Miller, Jessie Presch, Sarah Shepherd, Madison Smith, and Amber Youngman.

We don’t want to spoil it for you too much before you see the dance for yourself, but we have to say it is pretty impressive.

All of the young women bring such high energy to the stage as soon as they enter. They call themselves “Avengettes” as they are all dressed as superheroes and it is totally on-brand. The theme especially goes with the song choice.

The girls whip out a ton of impressive moves, like twists, jumps, side steps… You name it. They are total pros.

The fact that they are dressed as the Avengers makes it even better — it is so progressive and empowering to watch a bunch of young women as they show off their talents with true confidence and grace. Like we said, the energy they bring is so intense and cathartic all the way from start to end.

They incorporate a lot of jazz moves but also add in some insane acrobatic moves for good measure. The way they bend their bodies and show off their flexibility is so impressive. At some points of the dance, they come together and dance as a group, and at other points, they jump out and do their own thing.

Since the clip of the performance (which you can watch for yourself below) was posted back in June 2014, it has gone viral, amounting to over 2.8 million views. Additionally, it has gotten 24k likes.

The way they effortlessly whip their bodies around so sporadically takes so much talent and skill. We can only assume they have put in hundreds of hours rehearsing for that very performance!

And the group has continued to perform since then, too. Mather Dance Company still shares dance routines on their YouTube channel on a consistent basis and it is filled to the brim with fascinating videos. There is no doubt that they only work with very special dancers.

They have also posted dances to songs like “Never Letting Go” by Connor Duermit, “Hanging By a Thread” by Jann Arden, “Particles” by Nothing By Thieves and many, many more.
