During this particular conference, a keynote speaker showed the power of “speaking the language of music” when he prompted the crowd of 600 music educators to sing Amazing Grace by only giving them the starting notes.

Five seconds into the singing, he yells out to have them add some harmony.

Just moments later, you can hear multiple different harmonies being added in creating their beautiful and harmonious version of Amazing Grace.

This “375-part harmony” event was truly a talent to be heard.

There is an energy and enthusiasm that happens when you can create something so beautiful with a group of people, especially a group of strangers!

The love for music from these educators was evident in every note.

As the music filled the conference center, their presence and effort to be there made it clear that every one of the teachers was dedicated to ensuring that their students had the best possible education to further their skills.

Each year’s conference is always a resounding success, but the singing of Amazing Grace at this event was one of the many highlights.

The love for music and the commitment these educators have to their students are truly inspiring, and it is clear that they are determined to provide the best possible education to every student that will sit in front of them over the years.

Even when the pandemic hit, the committee of the music conference did everything they could to make this conference virtual so that the education could continue no matter what.

It is the perseverance and determination of many that allowed these conferences to be so successful even in the virtual world.

It is with high hopes that in 2023 that these educators will be able to return to the conference in person.
