Collecting has always been about cherishing memories. Since it all feels like it quickly slips beneath our grasp, we tend to hold on to small trinkets and objects to help us feel better about the situation. We find comfort and relieve stress when we can find a personal attachment or meaning to that item and it’s from there on we decide to take it with us for better or worse.
What happens when that feeling of attachment turns into a total obsession? That’s what happens when 60 people share their unique collections that will have some of us either scratching our heads in confusion, or raving about loudly with admiration. These exhibitions are riddled with peculiar objects and intriguing reasons for their origin. If you dont’ believe us, catch this slideshow and see for yourself!
1) Rocky Alphabet
This collection of alaphabet made from rocks was put together by Belgian Type designer Clotilde Olyff. The stones were collected at a beach nearby that lucikly had the right shapes for the project to be executed. It’s pretty cool to think nature had some odd scavenger hunt laid out for us all this time!
2) No Quarter
A collector decided to pierce state quarters to show only the insignia. The result is a mesmerizing mini-collection of strange, yet enticing coins. This will definitely be a cool-looking project once all 50 states are accounted for.
3) Crow Some Nuts
This guy decided it would be fascinating idea to feed the local crows some bar nuts. To his amazement, the crows began leaving him gifts behind as a token of their appreciation. Maybe crows aren’t that bad after all!

4) Pictures Of Me
The smiling doctor is showing his appreciation for a lovely gesture. Here you can see a plethora of drawn attempts of the doctor’s face made by kids who were under his care. It’s so irresistibly cute and heartwarming that this man had no choice but to hang the beautiful work up in his office!
5)Round Rock Repertoire
These round rocks were uncovered and found casually on the beach. You can see the top row shows three distinctive rocks shaped like a Dorito, egg, and watermelon rock. There’s something fascinating and eye-catching that happens if you stare long enough at these shiny rocks.
6) Chemical Collection
For all you chemistry majors, here is a live representation of the periodic table with actual elements. Pretty impressive stuff, right? The collection was not cheap by any means and don’t’ worry; it doesn’t look like this person is carrying much uranium to be worried about their health either.
7) Sharpener Selection
This lavish collection of pencil sharpeners was one that was accumulated over many years. You can see the history of the distinct ears each one was made simply by their ornate design. Keeping your pencil sharpened is a great way to always guarantee your documents are processed accurately and that your handwriting gets understood by anyone who reads your content. Don’t underestimate its use!
8) Apple Of My Eye
Apples are one of nature’s sweetest treasures. What happens when you start collecting some of nature’s biggest heirlooms? Then you get this old man who’s happy to show his collection of various apples. They’re so big and juicy that it’s enough to startle and get someone to ask questions about them!
9) Bowling Ball Pyramid
Feast your eyes on this impressive structure! This bowling ball pyramid wasn’t built during Egypt, but still took a lot of time and patience. So much patience, in fact, that it took this man 15 years to collect 1,785 bowling balls together to assemble it!
10) Hotels For Birds
Property sales are rising for birds this year! And it’s all thanks to this wonderful woman who decided it would be a great idea to collect birdhouses. With all shapes and sizes, any bird can feel welcome in one of these cute looking abodes.
11) Planting The Seeds
This collection of reference seeds was found in an attic. It was left behind by this person’s grandad who entrusted this person with a wealth of perfectly organized vials of curated, organic material. Somehow it’s just so satisfying staring at all the individual seeds stacked so neatly the way they are.
12) Meet Adam, The Antler
Not quite the comedian you were expecting? That’s because this bony masterpiece took about 15 years to finish gathering enough shedded antlers from the woods to complete it. The final result looks beautifully intact and almost identical to the real thing.
13) Staples Center
Well, that’s a pig pile of staplers! This junk has been stacking up ever since a group of coworkers decided to start collecting staplers from documents who had them removed. The result is the giant mound of staplers you see before you.
14) Stickers Galore!
Feast your eyes on this behemoth of a tire ball. Filled with labels and stickers of all sorts, it’s hungry to keep sticking for more. This proud achievement turned a whopping 6 years of age today and it looks like its only growing up to be a more outlandish collection.
15) Rock, Paper, Arrowheads, Shoot!
These tiny pieces of history have been conserved as a small collection. The arrowheads reside in a private property near Southern Arizona. The trinkets show their various unique distinctions given the way they were built. Much of it has to do with the specific purpose of the arrow so that it can do its job without fail.
16) Seaglass By The Seashore
Most people just idly dismiss sea glass when encountered by it. This person decided to make a colorful collection of these shiny sea shards and placed them inside a wine bottle. Points for creativity and also the fact that this is a great hobby to pick up whenever anyone is by the beach shore!
17) No Stress Chess
Don’t let the youthful smile and jubilant vibe from this young boy fool you. Despite being only 14 years of age, he proudfully displays his collection of chess medals that has gained him much merit. Collections are great for looking back and remembering a time that you felt proud of yourself for going far and beyond your usual limits.
18) Cloverfield
They say there’s no such thing as luck, but with a collection like this one, I beg to differ. Groupings of 4 and 5 leaf clover hang around this wondeful collection of the lucky green leaves. With all these clovers, it’s only a matter of time before the rainbow leading to the pot of gold reveals itself.
19) A Monopoly On Monopoly
This girl happily dusts off one of her many Monopoloy games she has stored as part of her mega collection. Obessesion doesn’t even come close in this case. She has a flabberghasting amount of about 600 editions of the famous property real estate game. The oldest version of the game in her possession goes back as earky as the 940’s. This young lass is well on her way to become the next big real estate mogul!
20) SharkBait Hoo Ha Ha!
Crazy to think that all of these shark tooths you see before you were all found at a beach. Their shiny and sharp aesthetic make it an alluring catch among sea-faring collectionists. Maybe the thing to do would be to organize these in a more structured way instead of having them lay everywhere on the floor. Other than that, be careful not to engage any sharks to further your collection!
21) Rack Full Of Quacks
This Airbnb host has a collection of rubber duckies organized in various shelves all along the bathroom wall. They certainly thought about everything, including their guests possible urget to shower with a rubber ducky. Whatever the case, this is a pretty awesome collection of rubber ducks and there’s definitely something to choose from to fit anyone’s preference.
22) Dirt Digger
At times, collections hold a special place because they tell about a specific time in a specific place. This collection is a myriad of sand and dirt that was gathered at different locations from places visited. It’s a great way to hold a connection to the feelings and ideas sparked when venturing into uncharted territories. Why not have something like this to hold those memories dear?
23) Vinyl And Proud
Some say there’s no other school than the old school. And some people may be right. This vinyl collection is finaly getting organized when this son decides to help his dad alphabetize his insane vinyl collection. A good song or two in the middle of structuring this mess out will do a good service.
24) A Field Of Shields
Few words come close to describing the feeling of completion. This collection shows all the shields ever created by LEGO in a neatly organized arrangement. It must have taken awhile, but we’re sure in the end it was worth it to say all shields have been accounted for.
25) Presidential Policy
This history teacher’s presidential PEZ collection is hilariously cute. He has them standing upright in single file above the whiteboard. It’s definitely a great way to show his classroom how to remember all the great presidents who have helped shape this nation.
26) Keep Out Of Children
Definitely one of the more intriguing collections on our list. This exhibition is all about objects swalled by children taken by the upper gut of children by the Pediatric Gastroenterology Service. It’s not really surprising considering they are children with nothing much better to do than use their imagination.
27) Marble Collection
This is an incredible marble collection that originates from the 1800’s. Each marble was crafted and made from polished semi-precious stones. It’s almost too shiny and enticing to shy away from!
28) Protect Your Armor
The weapons collection you see here is situated in The Royal Armouries in Leeds, UK. The wall goes high as each side is filled with expert level made armor gear reach almost to the ceiling. It’s a peek into history at what some of our ancestors used to survive and now it looks like a might fine assortment of steel weaponry.
29) Gameboy Bonanza!
For all you video gamers, this gameboy mosaic is shows off an extraordinary collection of classic Gameboy games. Everything from your classic Pokemon to Super Mario Bros. is included and even some obscure titles. This collection has so much to offer and is definitely a prime example of going to far lengths to obtain the goods.
30) Fore!
You think you’ve golfed before? Check out this 90-year-olds collection of broken, ugly golf balls. These are balls that have been mangled and left astray either by their owners or by the mower. It serves as a good reminder of all fun times going out to the field and teeing off on your favorite hole.
31) Medicine Medley
It’s always best to stay equipped with the latest medicine as much as possible. This medicine cabinet is a window into some antique medicines that work wonders to help remedy your ailments. From your common cough to migraines, these medicines are sure to get you back to full gear in no time!
32) Array Of Rock Eggs
Rock eggs as collection items? Sure, as long as one day they hatch some cool looking dinosaurs. Not sure where this lucky person found these rocks, but hopefully they have some more stowed away.
33) Home Intruders
So it turns out this friend’s mom moved out to Australia and she began to collect all the pesky intruders she found in her home. This creepy collection is not for the faint of heart. It contains everything from a bat to beetles to giant moths. If you think Australia is all rainbows and butterflies, remind yourself to include more visual aides coming from this collection.
34) Shed Station
A man’s home might as well be limited to his garage and shed. After all, its the only two places where they feel useful. This neatly organized shed show’s off a granddad’s cool collection of tools. Nicely placed and color-coded, this shed is any handyman’s dream come true.

No this isn’t your nearby GameStop or local electronic store. This is a monstrous video game collection that was finally organized into shelves after much time being kept in storage. Now this is truly every ultimate video game enthusiast’s dream!
42) Pans Laberynth
This picture of a large assortment of cake pans was taken from a rooftop. The collection belonged to an elderly grandmother and is a total of every pan she’s ever used in her life! It really goes to show how much we go through in a lifetime without thinking twice about it.
43) Dice City
Dice are a staple when it comes to any traditional or modern board game. So what happens when someone decides to start collecting different types of dice? The end result is a brilliantly colorful gathering of blocks that look almost like gems when placed together.
44) Keys To The City
This grandpa used his keys gained from working as a traveling salesman to outline a map of the United States. He seemed to acquire them from the different motels/hotels he used to stay at when he conducted his business. That’s a pretty impressive collection considering the amount of keys this man has been able to scavenge throughout the years. Which begs the question: aren’t you supposed to hand them at the desk at the time of check out?
45) Failed Presidency Stickers
This person decided to own all the failed presidential bumper stickers and show it off with pride. We’re sure this has made tons of people laugh their butts off while simultaneously ticking others off as well. No matter what side of the conversation you’re on, you can’t knock this person for having such a funny idea!
46) Matchbooks For The Books
Not many people use a matchbox these days. This dad decided to stash his lifelong savings and create a collection of matchboxes. The variety in design shows that they they were indeed something fancy to own back in the day.
47) Pencil Pushers
So far, this might be the most head-scratching collection we’ve presented. This is a collection of worn down pencils. Why? Why not is what this person had in mind. Rather than scrap the useless piece of wood, they preferred to keep it and put it together for a visually appealing assortment of pencils.
48) Flat Tire Findings
Most of us have experienced the situation of having a flat tire. We all know its not fun to be left stranded in the middle of the road while waiting for help. This local shop made a collection for all the things that have been pulled out of flat tires. From nails to screws and the rest of the above, this was not going to look good from the beginning.
49) May The Force Be With You
Can you describe your earliest childhood collection? If it was anything like this one, then you really did a great job for yourself. This Star Wars exhibition is colorful, varied, huge, and captivating to say the very least. It’s really any young boy’s dream to have this setup and the fact that it was made should definitely receive a round of applause.

The fat stack you see here is a compilation of all the train tickets this person collected while traveling to the University for one year. We wouldnt be able to tell you the cost of each ticket, but judging by the amount of tickets, it looks like to be a pretty expensive mode of travel. Sometimes you just have to keep your receipts in check so you can look back to the that one journey you took that brought you happiness.

Movies are one of America’s favorite past time. So why not own as many Hollywood Hits as possible? This person represents the typical DVD consumer who keeps his stack of movie collectibles neatly arranged for the next time Friday night looms around the corner.
52) Hot Rod Hangout
Hot Wheels doesn’t have anything on this dude’s auto collection. You can see this person has an obsessive passion for cars as he keeps them all shiny and perfectly parked next to each other. Collecting cars is a great hobby since more models keep being released every year; meaning the list is virtually endless.
53) Team Nutcracker
We all know how important the nutcracker’s role is in every holiday season’s decorations. No matter what holiday you celebrate, this collection has a nutcracker for any occasion. It contains a nutcracker in any size, different outfits, and also versatile in art style which makes it a truly well-rounded collection.
54) Insect Encyclopedia
Have you felt bugged out recently? This collection is sure to get your skin to itch and curl by just looking at it for some time! The peculiar world of insects comes to life in this incredible display of insects both small and large.

Nendoroids are a series of palm-sized figures with a “chibi” design from various different anime series, games, and more. So it was no surprise that someone with enough anime affliction would turn out to do something like this. Behold the ultimate wall of fandom: a giant collection of some of the most cherished nendoroids in the market.
58) Man Cave Collection
It’s hard to top super hero collection. Comics, graphic novels, and action figures are some of the many items and objects that these markets provide to their loyal fans. So that’s why this young man decided to go far and beyond when he made his superhero inspired wall of appreciation.
59) Peanut Comics Galore
This shows a collection of a father’s and grandmother’s peanuts comics by year. It stars with the father’s crapbook from 1965 and then follows it for about 30 years. The collection includes Sunday comics including Schultz’s anti pollution advertisement from 1972.
60) Droplets Of Water
Our last collection isn’t a man-made one. It’s mother nature showing off her curious personality by having hundreds of water droplets collect on this spiderweb. It’s almost impossible to tell how many droplets there simply by seeing how abundantly they are spread within the web itself. The cool shiny refraction of the light really brings them out and almost makes them look like small pearls being suspended in the air!
