So many optical illusions involving people are all caused by clothes and colors. In this example, the angle of the girl on the right, combined with the fact that she’s wearing black, make it seem like she’s somehow being held up by the others. In reality, the girl in the center of the photo is the one being carried by the other two.

Another terrific example of street art and optical illusions blending together, this image shows a stunning subterranean cavern, complete with its own waterfall and pool, seemingly situated right beneath the feet of pedestrians on this city street.

The amazing shape of these islands, combined with their reflection in the shimmering waters that surround them, help to create the shape of a violin. Those two trees on the smaller island really finish the image off perfectly.

At first, nothing really seems too strange about this image, that seems to show a guy kneeling down with a hose and spraying water onto the street. But the whole thing is fake! There is no hose. The whole thing is an incredible chalk drawing, part of a series by U.K. artist Julian Beever and German artist Edgar Mueller.

We can even see a couple of people stranded in the center, floating along on the remnants of an old raft.

Again, colors and angles bring an optical illusion to life. The man in this photo is wearing two-tone shorts that help to create a very odd effect where it seems like the two people sharing a happy hug are almost crossing over each other.

This gigantic floating faucet seems to be hovering in mid-air without anything to support it, blasting a stream of water into the pool below from another dimension.

Wow! These girls are wearing what seem to be transparent bikinis that make entire parts of their bodies invisible, letting us see the beach and water beyond.

This guy took the phrase “You’re so cute, I could eat you!” way too seriously, seeming to gobble up his girlfriend as he lowers her down into his mouth. Weirdly, she seems okay with it, and he actually looks a lot more freaked out by what’s going on.

This guy looks so cool and casual as he sits on an invisible chair, reading his book without a care in the world.

This girl must be as light as a feather. She’s floating right above the water’s surface like a balloon, able to reach down and run her fingers through the lake as she floats along.

Not only does this guy make awesome cups of coffee, he can even make them fly! He simply has to be crowned the very best barista on Earth.

It probably took a few attempts to pull this off, but this guy has made the perfect optical illusion photo using nothing but perspective. It seems like he’s plucking the tree right out of the ground with his own fingers.

The rules of gravity clearly don’t apply in this house, with a boy and a girl standing on the ceiling and reaching down to the bottles on the table below them.

Here’s another example of an optical illusion that will make you do a double take. It looks pretty simple at first, as we see a lady sitting in a chair, but look closer! That chair isn’t even 3D. It’s a drawing, cleverly created across the walls and the floor to look like a physical object.

With a bottle that size, this lady only needs to take the tiniest sip of water to feel refreshed all day long.
