This is a pretty clever way of ensuring your neighbors won’t be mad at you for any excessive noise, because who could take issue with this? If they do, you’ll likely find out a lot earlier than the party anyway!

This is pretty hilarious to me. Neither apartment would know just how different their balconies look from each other! Hilarious justification for what is really a very reasonable request. My guess is they weren’t finding much luck with the original sign that probably just said that their cat eats the cigarette butts and no doubt gets fairly sick from that. So they used some comedy to their advantage and now it probably works better and even provides passerbys with some good hearty laughter!

This is just pettiness at this point, and now there is literally wasted land between the properties! Not cool, man.

Yeah, as it turns out, cat’s don’t have much better neighbors than we do! This is more or less exactly what my old neighbor used to do and I dealt with it about as well as the cat on the right is. I would simply stare with a bit of distaste. There isn’t much else to do in that situation.
