Whether they have long hair or short, guinea pigs are adorable little creatures. Native to the Andes mountains in South America, the Peruvian Long-Haired Guinea Pig is truly a sight to see. Their long, luscious locks are so beautiful that even humans would be happy to have a full head of guinea pig hair. Check out these 60 guineas and see for yourself just how incredible these little animals really are.
1. Good hair day.
If you were this guinea pig, you’d have never heard of a bad hair day. This awesome critter enjoys looking good while it’s chilling in the front yard. And should he ever get shy, all he has to do is lower his face and he can be completely concealed by his long locks. That’s what I call a two-for-one-hairdo.
2. Redhead perfection.
This little guy was blessed with beautiful red hair. Not only is the color great, but it flows and grows ever so awesomely. I know quite a few people who would be happy to have this guinea’s hairdo. Although, I don’t think that they could rock it quite as well.
3. Model guinea.
Look out magazine models, this guinea is in the game. I’m not sure who taught it to pose this way, but they nailed it. The hair is perfectly styled and the posture is nice and laid-back. It’s a 10 out of 10 look from me.

4. Mullet guinea.
You saw it here first, folks, the mullet is making a comeback. No matter how out-of-style the mullet is, there are always a select few who rock it–and I respect that. Because it’s a look that can’t be pulled off by many, but the one’s who can, really make it look good.
5. Birdbath guinea.
Who said birdbaths are just for the birds? I say any animal that can fit should be allowed to bathe in it. This little guy knows what I’m talking about. Bathe on brother, bathe on.
6. Wild guinea.
This guinea pig seems to thrive in the wilderness. It looks right at home out there in the trees. However, I’m not sure how long it would last on its own out there. There are quite a few animals that would love to have this little pig for a snack.
7. Princess guinea.
Some guinea pigs look so good, they should be considered royalty. I’m not sure how the royal system works with these little animals, but I think this one deserves to be near the top–maybe not the queen, but princess would do. That bow and long flowing hair are a great princess-like qualities.
8. Autumn guinea.
Nothing says fall season like colorful leaves and a guinea pig. Well, maybe not so much the guinea pig, but you get the idea. Let’s just hope it’s not too close to Thanksgiving because I’ve heard that these cute little guys are actually quite tasty.
9. Black and white guinea.
I love everything about this photo. The guinea’s hair is perfect and the rock wall works as a great backdrop. I can only imagine that its owner snaps these photos on the regular. How could you not when you have such a good-looking pet?
10. Garden guinea.
Some people like to dress up their gardens with little creatures. Some prefer plastic gnomes, while others like ceramic deer and birds. But this person likes the real thing. Who needs any of that plastic or ceramic stuff when you’ve got a beautiful, live guinea pig to spice things up with?
11. Grinch guinea.
This guinea rocks the same hair-style as the Grinch. Although he’s not green and not nearly as mean, the resemblance is still there. Whether he woke up like this or he had his hair styled this way, this guinea sure can rock a good top-head curl.
12. Brushed to perfection.
Although this guinea requires quite a bit of maintenance to get his hair looking this good, it’s worth all of the effort. Have you ever seen guinea hair that was this beautiful? I know I haven’t. But hey, there are still more guinea pigs to see so we may have one that tops these incredible locs.
13. Loved guinea.
This little guinea has a very loving owner. Clearly, he trusts his owner a lot in order to let him hold him this way. And if he trusts his owner this much, then that means his owner has shown him enough love to warrant that trust. I love a good human-animal relationship.
14. Soft as silk.
This pictures makes me want to pet this guinea pig. His hair looks so soft and satisfying to touch. The others looked soft as well, but this little guy takes the cake on the softest-looking hair. Congratulations little buddy, you’ve got some incredible hair.
15. Cheeto guinea.
Either this little guinea got into a bag of Cheetos and rolled around, or he has some really unique hair. The color is so beautifully orange. Not only that, but he has an awesome little wave-like hairdo going on over his head. I dig everything about this piggy.
16. Ponytail guinea.
Sometimes it’s good to have a little fun with awesome hair. I think the ponytail was a great choice. It’s fun, spunky, and still looks good. Lets hope we get a few more ponytails in the pictures to come.
17. Wig guinea.
Is that a wig on the ground, or an animal? This little guy has such beautiful hair that it almost looks like that is all that he’s made up of. When I eventually go bald, I’m going to see if I can have a wig made out of this guy’s hair. I just hope I can rock it as well as he does.
18. Twin guineas.
What’s better than one guinea pig with great hair? Two of them, of course. These two must get compliments everywhere that they go. Shoot, they may even just spend all day giving each other compliments on their awesome hair.
19. Circus guinea.
Sign this guinea up for the circus. It looks cool and it can balance on a little stand. I’d pay money to watch this thing do some tricks, and look great while he does it. Where can I buy some tickets?
20. Guinea duster.
This guinea pig serves multiple purposes. Along with its obvious ability to bring love and joy into its owner’s life, it also could be used to dust the house. Of course, the dusting would have to be done gently so as not to hurt this cute little guy. But done right, I think that he’d enjoy being carried and rubbed throughout the house.
21. Another ponytail.
I’m glad to see another ponytail in the mix. These little guys have such great hair that it would be a shame not to have some fun with it. This one is sporting a cool strawberry clip and I think it looks great. Rock that pony little buddy.
22. Highlights.
This little guinea is sporting some nice blonde highlights. She’s probably a natural blonde but they look like they could have been colored professionally. There’s nothing like some naturally sun-bleached hair. Looking good, guinea.
23. Pillow cushion.
Either this is a pillow cushion or it’s an actual guinea pig. Either way, it looks awesome. This is a cuddle-friendly guinea if I’ve ever seen one. Scoot over and share that pillow, buddy.
24. More ponytail.
Yes. That’s all I can say about these guinea pig ponytails. They always look great and I think all of the guineas should have them. The little bow is a nice touch.
25. Slick back.
This guinea is rocking a pretty nice slick-backed harido. It’s both practical and fashionable–a great combo. His colors are beautiful and make his hair that much more attractive. That single brown streak looks real nice.
26. Just brushed.
This guinea pig has nicer hair than I do. I could brush my hair all day and still not achieve his level of shininess. Luckily for me, I can just throw on a hat when my hair isn’t cooperating. I don’t think that this guinea pig has that problem.
27. Flowers in your hair.
This guinea belongs in San Fransisco in the ’60s. She would fit right in with the rest of the hippies that were there during the time. I can imagine this particular guinea at a music festival, swaying back and forth to some live Grateful Dead.
28. Multiple ponytail action.
Three ponytails are so much better than one. This guinea has some serious style. And not only does it look good, but it helps him see as well. Talk about a win-win situation.
29. Pillow chilling.
There’s nothing better than a good deck-chill session. Sitting out on the deck in a good chair is something that I could do for hours. For this guinea pig, his chair of choice is a blue pillow. I haven’t tried using a pillow as a chair on the deck yet but he makes it look pretty nice.
30. Full head of hair.
So many of these guinea pigs look like wigs. Their hair is so beautiful, I wouldn’t be surprised if people did try and make a wig out of it. Once again, I have to point out how well these three colors compliment each other. I could see this becoming a cool new style.
31. Guinea wig.
This guinea pig has hair that actually looks like it came off of a human. I know many people that would love to have hair this nice–me included. I hope this guy knows how lucky he is to have such beautiful hair. Enjoy it, bud!
32. Guinea wig #2
Just in case you didn’t realize how beautiful this pig’s hair was, here it is again. From this angle, you can see how long his hair really is. It’s as a long as his entire body! I hope he never cuts it.
33. Elderly guinea.
I’m not sure if this guinea pig is actually old, but the grey does suit him. Old or young, it’s all about how he rocks it. And personally, I think he rocks it really well. The part down the middle is a nice touch.
34. Bedhead guinea.
This is me on most mornings. Some people wake up looking great. Me and this guy, on the other hand, we take some time to get looking good in the mornings. Looks like it’s time for a shower, buddy.
35. Adorable guinea.
This guinea pig has to be the cutest one that I’ve seen yet. Everything about her is cute and petite–her bow, her body size, her hair. I’d be tempted to just carry her around in my pocket everywhere I went.
36. Layers.
This guinea pig has a great hair-stylest. The volume of her hair looks great–as does the color. She looks happy with the outcome and she should be. You look good, pig.
37. Light as a feather.
This one looks like it may just blow away in the breeze. It’s hair is so light and feathery. If I were the owner, I’d be careful about bringing it outside on a windy day. One good gust and you may never see this cute little guinea pig again.
38. Lookout guinea.
Who needs a watch dog or an alarm system when you’ve got a guinea pig? If anyone tried breaking in, they’d be stunned by this little guy’s cuteness. I wouldn’t be surprised if the burglar just turned aorund and left after seeing this guy. He’s too cute to steal from.
39. Springtime guinea.
If springtime didn’t make you think of guinea pigs before, it should now. I wish guinea pigs lived wild aorund where I live in North America. I’d love to see them every spring. They are endemic to South America, however, so I’ll just have to head down south to see them.
40. Bathtime.
There’s nothing quite like a good bath. This guinea pig knows what I’m talking about. He looks just as relaxed as I would be in a tub full of warm water. Time for some shampoo.
41. Mamma guinea.
This is an adorable duo. Mamma guinea and baby guinea look super cute together. And their non-matching coats add to the cuteness. I bet she’s a great mother to her baby.
42. Dinner time.
These two guinea pigs are ready to eat. It looks as though they prefer to eat out of their owner’s hand rather than their bowl. Either way, they look hungry. I hope their owner doesn’t receive andy inadvertent bites.
43. Tangles.
Somtimes it seems like your hair has a mind of its own. This guinea pig’s hair seems to. I’m not sure if the best stylest in the world could untangle this mess. Good luck, guinea.
44. Long hair, don’t care.
This reminds me of myself from jr. high. I let my hair get long and wild and I loved it. If I still had as much hair now as I did then, I’d grow it out like this guinea pig’s hair. Let it grow, buddy.
45. Pumpkin guinea.
This guinea pig has a look on his face like he knows that Halloween is just around the corner. He doesn’t seem to associate Halloween with free candy. Rather, he seems concerned with the ghost and ghouls. Don’t worry little guy, you’ll be fine.
46. Christmas guinea.
Merry Christmas little guy. Luckily for him, his coat looks thick enough to keep him warm during winter. I hope he gets let inside soon though. He deserves to sit next to a big, roaring fire.
47. Flower guinea.
This guinea pig and the other guinea pig with the flowers in her hair would get along great. I like the single flower look, too. It’s got a Hawaiian feel to it. Aloha, little guy.
48. Puffball.
This guinea pig looks like a big ball of cotton. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he would blow away in the wind if it started to pick up. He seems very interested in that bee that’s flying around. I hope he knows that they sting…
49. Nap time.
I love a good nap in the middle of a long day. This guinea pig seems to agree. It can be hard to nap when there are other people and guinea pigs around, but his bed looks comfortable enough to put him to sleep anyways.
50. Family dinner.
Sharing a meal with your family is a great thing. It’s something that I took for granted when I was a kid, but now that I don’t live near my family anymore, I understand how lucky I was. I hope that these guineas know how lucky they are to be eating toegther.
51. Tired guinea.
Sometimes you wake up in the morning and are ready to go right back to bed. This guy looks like he may need to start his day over again with another hour of sleep. There’s nothing wrong with that, little guy. Go back to sleep.
52. Candle-light guinea.
This may be the most romantic guinea pig I’ve seen so far. She looks ready to charm the next guinea pig that she sees. The candles are a nice touch and her hair looks great. Have fun tonight, miss piggy.
53. Bowtie guinea.
Every furry creature looks better in a bowtie. It seems to up their cuteness level quite a few notches. This guinea pig is no exception. It looks absolutely adorable.
54. Puffball #2.
Hey look, another puffball. This may be my favorite guinea pig look. They look extremely soft and cute. I’m sure this guinea’s owner has plenty of cuddle time with him.
55. Fruit guinea.
Who knew guinea pigs enjoyed fruit? I figured that they had a strict grass diet. He looks really happy to have come across a banana. Although I think someone should tell him that the inside tastes better.
56. Lavender guinea.
This is the first all-black-fur guinea pig that I’ve seen. It looks nice next to the purple lavender flowers. I would have loved to be there when this photo was taken. The combination of petting the soft guinea and smelling the fresh lavender would have been an awesome combo.
57. Sink-bath.
I wish I was small enough to take a bath in the sink. I used to take sink-baths when I was an infant, but it’s been a long time since then. This guinea pig looks more than content to be taking his bath in the sink. Enjoy it, my friend.
58. Buddies.
There’s nothing better than a good friend to go through life with. These guinea pigs are lucky to have each other. They seem like close friends based on the way that they eat their food out of the same bowl.
59. Time for a trim.
With so much hair, an occasional trim is necessary. This little guy seems happy to be having his coat trimmed up. I know I’d like to have the hair cut out from in front of my eyes so I could see. Either that, or give me a pony tail.
60. Show and tell.
This girl seems very proud of her guinea pig. And she should be because it is a very handsome guinea. I hope he appreciates how lucky he is to have such a loving owner.
