Have you ever looked at something that you know what it is yet it appears to be something entirely different? It’s so strange when objects and even people fool the eyes but it happens all the time. As you’ll see from these photos, you’re not the only one who’s experienced this strange phenomenon.
1. Just a car covered with snow
But wait, not so fast. If you look a little longer, you’ll see a face. And from the way the snow landed on this car, that face looks incredibly angry…frown and all. That’s probably how the owner feels when shoveling off all that white stuff.
This image is so realistic that it’s almost scary. Look, a mother breastfeeding her baby is a beautiful thing. But when you find two rocks that mimic that act perfectly, you have to do a double-take.
For those of you who don’t watch South Park, you wouldn’t get it. But for those of you who do…you can instantly see Cartman. Wow…that power of a lens flame.
This is nothing more than a beautiful bonsai tree. But due to the way it grew, it appears to have a perfectly-shaped bum. That’s certainly impressive but perhaps not a sight for younger children.
That’s probably what you’d say if you saw this the first thing in the morning. Just imagine opening a new tub of butter to find this sleeping face. You might even hesitate to slather some on your toast…what if it’s real?
That’ll never happen again in a million years. Here, you see bird poop on a car window. But did you notice that it resembles a real bird? That’s crazy.
By the look of things, this dryer didn’t like the taste of the clothes someone fed it. Its eyes are all wonky and it even spits an item out. We think it’s time this individual buy a new machine.
At the time, these people were simply splashing water on an elephant. It wasn’t until after the photographer reviewed the film that they realized something. The water is shaped just like the animal. This is one-in-a-million.
If you’ve seen The Lion King, this image probably seems familiar. Although this is a septic tank, that thing inside looks like Rafiki. Cute and spooky at the same time.
We’ve all heard of and likely played with Mr. Potato Head. But now, there’s a new guy in town. This one is called Mr. Squash Head. The difference, you can’t play with him…just eat him at dinnertime.
A lot of shadows are creepy. But this one is especially disturbing. If someone looked at the ground before first spotting the plant, they’d probably turn and run for the hills.
How sweet…he’s dressed in a tuxedo and she’s in a gown. Who knew there was going to be an office wedding? Better yet, who knew water coolers could get married or for that matter, experience love?
With a slab of bacon that size, this guy could make breakfast for 20 people. Oh, wait. That’s not bacon. It’s a uniquely colored slab of rock that just looks like it.
Let’s just hope this person realizes the truth before taking it to work. You see, that’s not a cat at all. If you look closely, you’ll notice it’s nothing more than a paper bag carrying someone’s lunch.
You can almost hear this hardware screaming those words. The design of it and with the hammer nearby, this thing looks scared out of its mind. Thank goodness it’s not alive.
It’s amazing what experts are doing with robots these days. But this isn’t one of them. This plug looks like it could do all kinds of neat things when in fact, it only serves to charge electronics.
This cloud of smoke comes from the current California wildfires, which is devastating. But the amazing part…the light-colored one looks like a man’s face. The darker cloud resembles a sleeping dog.
Initially, this looks like a portrait of a smiling dog. The person who did this captured the pup’s emotions perfectly. We hate to disappoint you but that’s nothing more than foam on top of a beer.
For one thing, it seems as though this pepper misses its other half. On the other hand, having someone cut you in two wouldn’t be very fun. So, it has every right to feel down.
There’s a reason the lion is called “King of the Jungle.” This animal has a commanding presence. Shoot, the lion’s impression is even found on fences made from wood cut from forests. That’s powerful.
First, the person who lit this cigarette must be a giant. Second, it wasn’t very nice of them to discard it like that. Of course, it’s not what it seems…it’s only a metal post that fell over.
When snapping photos of an outdoor fire, this is what the individual captured. It appears to be a woman. We don’t know about you, but this would make us feel very nervous.
At first glance, this just looks like a nice car. But on the lower half, you’ll notice a huge HDMI-like port. Man, you’d have to have a massive cord to fit in that thing.
Today, you can find all kinds of cool decals…just like this Samurai. You guessed it, that’s not what this is. In reality, this is simply a leaf that stuck to a window. We’d keep it as a decal.
This curious creature is staring right at you. And it’s mocking you with that evil smile. What? It’s just a loaf of bread positioned terribly wrong? Relief.
This person didn’t do this on purpose. After pulling a batch of muffins out of the oven, this is what they found. And no, this is not a real hamster…just bread that wanted to mirror one.
How in the world is someone supposed to sleep when they have a mattress that looks like a giant ice cream bar? The minute they start to doze off, the cravings set in. It does look delicious.
If you didn’t know better, you’d think this man was inside a submarine deep in the ocean. But…it’s a bus. It just so happens he sat behind a pole that created an optimal illusion.
It looks as though one of Santa’s helpers decided to go barefoot. So, he slipped out of his little shoes. But would it surprise you to know those are gel cold tablets that melted?
Wouldn’t it be cool if this was a real duck? The color is stunning. Although this is squash, it’d be stunning as the centerpiece on a Thanksgiving table.
People who love nature are often referred to as “tree huggers.” In Austria, this particular tree grew an extra part that looks like a small child squeezing it tight. This is so impressive.
It’s too bad this isn’t really a pastry. Can you imagine that thing coming out of the oven? Guess we’ll have to settle for the fact it’s only snow on a table top.
If you saw the movie, “The Alien,” it probably struck fear at your core. So, if you discovered this coming out of your Nutella, you might have the same experience. That’s a little too creepy.
