The memories from our childhood are huge parts of who we are today. Since there were no digital cameras back then, photographs were typically taken on special occasions. Some of us don’t have too many photos to look back on, unlike today where people have huge amounts of data storage full of their selfies and group photos.
Back in the day, taking photos was not an everyday event and so, we always made sure that we only took photos of milestones and memorable experiences.

1. Five brothers then and now
This photo of five brothers from 1997 was recreated in 2017. The past 20 years have definitely changed these boys so much!

These siblings have recreated their photo from 25 years earlier as a gift to their parents’ anniversary. They may have grown older but their faces from when they were children can still be seen in their features now that they are adults.
3. 37 years, tattoos and piercings later…
If someone told me that the boy in the old photo is also the man with the tattoos and piercings, I would certainly not believe them! However, if we try to look carefully and truly study the man’s features we can see that they still look alike.

This father and son recreated a tender moment from many years back showing the sleepy Dad as he carries his little boy. His son may be too big for him to carry now, but he’s never too old for a loving embrace.

This father had this hilarious photo of him as he bathed his baby boy in the sink from more than a decade ago. Now that his baby is as big as he is, they decided to re-enact the funny moment and I must say that they totally nailed it or even better!

After 20 years of being best friends, these girls still find each other as their confidant and forever best buddy. Their recreated photo took every detail into consideration. Even their shoes are almost the same as 20 years ago!

Even when they were still young, the guy with glasses has always been the funny one while his best friend always refused to smile. This recreation of their childhood photo is totally on point and though their personalities still differ, this difference only make them the best compliment for each other.

These two friends met at the beach for the first time while they were still toddlers. Now that they are in college, both of them go to the same school and are still very best of friends.

These siblings seemed to be out for an excursion in their old photo. When they recreated it, they definitely nailed the clothes but what can’t be ignored is the fact that the once small baby in their midst is now the tallest in the bunch.

17 years ago, this young man was his Mom’s little helper in the kitchen. He was too tiny that he could even fit inside a food bowl. Now that he is all grown up, that same food bowl isn’t enough to fit his tall frame in.

As a child, this man always slept in really weird positions and his parents would take pictures of him as he slept. Now that he is an adult, he may not be doing these weird sleeping positions anymore but he certainly knows how to recreate the old photo!

17 years before, these 8 siblings sat by each other in a beautiful garden and showed that their heights are in an upward direction. Now that they are all grown up, they seem to be as tall as each other, thus creating almost a straight line in their recreated photo.

The first photo was that of the girl carrying her little brother, a hint of smile in her eyes showing. In her recreated photo though, she was not smiling at all. Was it because her brother is now way heavier than before?

14 years since their Christmas photo together, these siblings decided to recreate the said photo. Their parents’ anniversary is about to come and this could be the best gift that they can present to their beloved folks.
This man thought that his beloved sweater from when he was a child was already gone and couldn’t be worn anymore. What he did not know was that his mother kept the sweater all these years. Realizing this, they decided to put on the three decade sweater on his young son instead and recreated a photo from the past.
54. Twin boys 2006 vs 2018
These twin boys definitely changed much if you look at their photo from 2006 compared to their recreated photo after 12 years. Time flies really fast and before you know it, your little kids have grown up as adults already.
55. Her first day of school and her last
Before a parent knows it, their kid has already grown up before their eyes and is not a little child anymore. Sometimes, seeing the change can be amazing but realizing that much time has passed can be really surprising, too.
The first photo of these three young ladies was captured 15 years ago, just as they are saying their prayers and are about to go to sleep. Now that they are all grown ups, they probably have their own bed but seeing them together in a single bed once more must have brought a lot of joy to their parents.
57. The tub isn’t getting any bigger
Bath time is definitely a momentous part of a kid’s day. This adorable photo from 20 years ago shows three young boys sharing a tub that is big enough to fit them all. But now that they are adults, I think it’s time to change the tub for a bigger one if they still plan on bathing together like in the old days.

These twins look totally adorable in their baby picture together. But looking at them now those thick beards don’t make them look cute and little anymore!

We have seen a lot of weird sleeping positions that kids do. But this one by far is the weirdest of them all! It’s a good thing his parents were able to snap a shot of him sleeping that way, now they have something to laugh about for years to come!
This guy’s baby picture showed that he did not have teeth at the time the photo was taken. His recreated photo is definitely different because obviously, he has teeth now. One thing remains in his photos, though, whether he has teeth in them or not the joy in his eyes as he smiled from when he was a baby still shows even after 23 long years.
Years go by swiftly and before we know it, we are no longer kids and we can’t do the things that we used to do when we were young. As adults, we are expected to make wiser decisions and better choices. However, that does not mean we can forget about the happy moments that we felt when we were still children!
