What were you doing when you were 6 years old? While most children that age are playing with other children on the playground or playing with dolls and Legos at home in their rooms, one 6-year-old had different plans.
Ryan is 6 years old and making millions through his YouTube channel.
You read that right; Ryan is a professional “YouTuber.” His parents created his channel a little over two years ago. Originally, it was just videos of him playing with his toys. In his first video, Ryan discovered a Lego Duplo Train set and the 3-year-old (at the time) played with the set for 15 minutes. He didn’t have any followers at that time. He had watched a lot of other YouTube channels before that where other young children would analyze and review toys, such as hulyan maya and EvenTubeHD.
So, one day, Ryan asked his parents an interesting question.
According to the Washington Post, he asked: “How come I’m not on YouTube when all the other kids are?” His parents were surprised by his question but decided to do something about it. That’s when they went to the store to buy him the Lego Duplo Train Set, and after that, Ryan became a YouTube legend.
It only took four months for the traffic to increase dramatically on his channel.
Suddenly, there was an explosion in subscribers, views, and comments, which was made possible by a video that went viral about Ryan reviewing a good hundred toys all at once. The name of the video was “100+ cars toys GIANT EGG SURPRISE OPENING Disney Pixar lightning McQueen kids video Ryan ToysReview,” and after that video went out, the numbers on his channel doubled every month. A few months later, Ryan had reached 1 million subscribers. A year after that, he had reached over 5 million subscribers. Today, Ryan has over 10 million subscribers.
According to Forbes, Ryan’s channel (Ryan ToysReview) made $11 million only last year, which put Ryan at eighth on the Forbes list of the world’s top 10 YouTube earners. Forbes originally started making YouTube lists in 2015, after a Swedish gamer named PewDieDie was holding the top spot of highest-paid “YouTube stars” after earning over $12 million before taxes. Today, it is another gamer called Daniel Middleton who is holding the first spot. The 26-year-old gamer made $16.5 million last year.
Today, YouTubers make a lot of money, especially if they are extremely popular and obtain a lot of views.
Ryan definitely will be set for the generations to come, thanks to his parents’ great idea of setting up his channel. In his videos, Ryan reviews different toys. Each episode shows Ryan opening a toy box, analyzing the toy, and playing with the toy to explain its features. The little boy has millions of fans all over the planet.
Ryan might not understand this yet, but the boy will probably never have to work a day in his life!
Today, more and more people are attempting to make a career in social media marketing, as it tends to be easy and fun, and it allows you to make a decent amount of money if you are successful at it. Unfortunately for many, the fame doesn’t come as easily as for Ryan.
The 6-year-old has children hooked to his channel.
His popularity can be explained by the fact that he has the job that every small child has ever wanted: playing with toys. Every day, he gets to open new toys and play with them.
