Don’t go bragging about your awards in school and how high your grades were, as chances are, you’ve already forgotten everything you’ve learned in that fifth grade class. And you know it.
Not everything we learned in the fifth grade is relevant today. Some of us were busy chatting to our best friends or drawing who knows what in those spiral notebooks.
Sure, it was important at the time, and it certainly helped develop our little brains.
Except out there, in the real world, we don’t really go up to the nearest tree to check for photosynthesis, nor do we go checking up on the different species of dinosaurs.
It’s more about current events, or who’s dating who in the office.
Now if we were to take you back to 5th grade learning, could you handle it?
Fifth grade is like that magical bridge before puberty where kids leave behind kindergarten and earlier years, and look forward to the endless possibilities of their preteen years.
These kids are expected to think for themselves, given problems to analyze and break down before giving their answers. Then there are the weekly quizzes no one enjoys.
Could you handle a fifth grader’s quiz right now?
Those kids are expected to memorize and retain. Something we as adults have a hard time doing.
History, social studies, math, and all the other subjects are back to test your now fully developed and exhausted brain. So you think kids have it easy, huh?
It’s not the complicated numbers in the office, or the fancy word for that delicious cocktail you had last night, but you’d better be smarter than a fifth grader for this quiz!
