People are often tempted to buy cheap yet fashionable-looking clothes. However, many still fail when looking at the bigger picture before deciding to buy something. In the end, they’d end up buying something they’re sure to regret later.
If you want to know what I’m talking about, then let me show you 55 of the most cringe, unfortunate, and hilarious fashion designs that shouldn’t be in anyone’s wardrobe.
1. Leaning Tower of Pisa
This pair of sweatpants is designed with every country’s landmarks. Although, the Leaning Tower of Pisa was placed in a very awkward spot. Seems inappropriate to wear this in public.
2. How do you even wear this?
This is one very confusing design. You don’t know whether they’re a pair of shorts or an off-shouldered top because of how it’s designed. Maybe someone got it mixed up while making this terrible mess.
3. Symmetric
Symmetrical designs in clothes are almost always good aside from some terrible exceptions. For example, the flamingoes’ necks sort of overlapped in the center, making this pair of pants look awkward. Even the zebras are staring directly at it.
4. Where’s the design from
At first look, this seems a very decent T-shirt design. However, once you get to inspect the design long enough, you’ll notice that there’s proof that this was lazily done. The designer failed to delete the .jpeg file tag on the shirt.
5. Why would anyone wear this?
This dress isn’t even close to being elegant. In fact, the design makes it look like someone had a very bad stomach. This person really thought that she’s rocking it.
6. Motivation fail
If you’re looking for motivation, probably not the best idea to go to a thrift shop. Their designs would most likely give you the reverse effect. Not only the design failed, but also its grammar.
7. The flower bloomed
These designers thought that it would be great to place a blooming flower in this area. It stands out so much that it would be hard for anyone not to notice it. At least it’s quite colorful though.
8. Almost cute
If you’re into cute things, you’d probably be tempted into buying these kitten socks. Although, it would be better to keep it as a design, not as something you’d wear. Unless, of course, if you want the kitten to be stretched like this.
9. Nice advice
These designs are just way too funny. No one would read the message as “Don’t worry, be happy” the first time they see this shirt. They would probably think you’re a weird, pessimistic person if you tried wearing this in public.
10. Spilled spaghetti
Who even designed these football uniforms? If they had a photo with the whole time, they just look like they’ve all spilled spaghetti on their shirt. It just looks untidy no matter how much you look at it.
11. Someone tell him
This guy probably gets a lot of “Hey man, your underwear is showing.” I mean, the shirt’s design looks like someone just wedgied him. It’s amazing how he has the confidence to wear this in public.
12. Something’s weird here
This is almost the perfect floral summer outfit if it wasn’t for one thing. Despite the beautifully designed petals, there are silhouettes of a sexy woman posing in the background. Although, it’s really not that obvious.
13. Nice shirt
The text printed here just gives too many implications, including inappropriate. Even if people knew that his name is Brodie Jonas, it wouldn’t be the first thing that they would think. His smile just looks so pained.
14. You mad bro?
You won’t know whether this design was intentional or not. It’s just that their uniform seems like they’re sending a rude message. The whole staff is wearing them too.
15. Hard to unsee
This looks like a perfectly fine shirt until you notice how badly it was designed. What’s worse is that she’s on TV, and thousands are watching her. Didn’t she look in a mirror before wearing that shirt?
16. Baseball team name
This T-shirt design has failed already. Why would you make the ‘S’ big, then follow it with a word that would make it inappropriate? To be honest, if there’s a baseball team with a name like this, I’d be interested to see them.
17. Surprise!
I personally think this isn’t a fail. The way Will Ferrell’s face peeking out from this man’s sweater is just way too funny. It’s amazing how he never noticed it before leaving the house.
18. Zippered sleeves
These zippers don’t really serve much of a purpose except opening half of the shoulder area in case you want to show people. It doesn’t go all the way so you could wear them sleeveless. I wonder who thought about this crappy design?
19. Maybe?
This tank top almost looks badass for a second there, especially with the crossed guns on top of a big heart. The only thing that ruined it was the font behind. I don’t know what it’s trying to say except, “Will I Fart.”
20. Both doesn’t exist
I wonder what kind of world the designer is living in. Both of these creatures don’t even exist in the first place. So what kind of advice is this shirt even giving?
21. Two pockets
This dress comes in with two pockets, one on the back, and guess where the other one is. People would surely be tempted to put something in the back pocket without her knowing. Why not just be normal and put both pockets on the side?
22. What does this even mean
People would get a stroke from trying to read this. It’s confusing and you don’t know where to start. In fact, no matter what you do, the whole thing just doesn’t make sense.
23. Shoot it straight
Whoever made this design sure thought there are no flaws with this. The texts were placed in the worst way possible. It just gives bowhunters a bad name.
24. Adidas imitations
There are better brand imitations than this pair of shoes. Instead of three stripes, it looks like they put an extra stripe on the logo. Instead of Adidas, they put on the worst word possible.
25. Perfect detail
If people wanted to have genuine leopard stripes, then this would be more than perfect. This purse’s designer had carefully thought of putting a butthole print just to make it look like the real thing. If this was from a dress, it would probably be even funnier.
26. I Miami
These kinds of designs should never be put on a redshirt. The heart is just barely visible that the only way to read this is “I Miami.” Now people would just look so silly wearing this.
27. Good one
Walmart is home to the best-failed designs. This kid’s wear clearly says, “Happy Hippo.” The weird thing is, the hippo has a horn on his nose.
28. No one would have a shirt fit like this
This man tried to order a custom shirt that’s perfect for him. The shop gave him reassurance saying, he would never have a shirt fit like this. Well, they’re right, in a bad way.
29. Inappropriate unicorn
It’s just two hours before a big Christmas party when this guy realized he messed up with his outfit. He just noticed his unicorn was showing something inappropriate. This guy would surely stand out at the party with his unique unicorn shirt.
30. Cool checkered design
The checkered prints looked almost perfect until someone pointed it out for him. The whole time he was wearing a shirt full of obscene figures. If it wasn’t for his sister, he would have been more embarrassed than this.
31. Okay…
I wonder if Nike were the ones who really designed this shirt. Without enough context, this shirt would be the worst in the world. Did the designer even think this one through?
32. Well, she’s not wrong tho…
This man received a Hawaiian shirt as a present from his 90-year old grandma. For those who were wondering, his grandma is more or less right about the design she picked. In fact, Hawaii is in the top four states for pot production.
33. The worst Christmas clothing design
If this was meant for an adult-themed design, this would probably be good. But, for this to be on kid’s clothes, this is beyond outrageous. Is the designer not fired yet?
34. Unfortunate
This was almost the perfect Instagrammable photo but her shirt ruined it all. The shirt’s print was probably read as “SATURDAY,” but after wearing it, it just shows four letters. Unfortunately, those four letters are read as “TURD.”
35. Didn’t know Celine Dion was in this genre
Metal-loving people would probably be tempted by the fiery skull design on this shirt. It would even reach the point where they never read the whole thing. Didn’t know Celine Dion sang metal.
36. Word Search designed shirts
It’s probably a bad idea to buy Word Search clothes because designers would put in some hidden messages without you knowing. This shirt looks cool and all until you spot the message there. Could someone point it out for him?
37. Who are these people?
Surely, they are not Nirvana, not even when they were younger. So if not, then whose family photo is this?
38. Unfortunate cut
This underwear’s garters were supposed to be printed a “100% ORIGINAL” text. For some reason, as they went all the way, the designers realized they made a fatal mistake. Though, it’s amazing how the production for these was still approved.
39. Why put petals there?
These designers thought that it would be attractive to put red flower petals on the crotch area. Now, women wearing this would surely make it seem like it’s their time of the month. They literally look just like stains no matter what.
40. Aren’t they the same thing?
How could you tell someone to be unique when you’re giving them literally the same thing? At least get another in a different color or a completely different design. Getting matching pairs of this just made it even worse.
41. Who would want this?
If there’s someone who would want to wear this, it might be for a Halloween party. If it’s for everyday use, then that person should get their brain checked. It’s hideous and unpresentable.
42. Someone didn’t study History
This shirt has a print “Party like it’s 1776” with Abraham Lincoln on it. Lincoln wasn’t even born yet. This is why studying even just a bit of history is important.
43. Confusing cursive
Choosing a font is important, even for famous brands. The wrong font would really ruin everything, just like this shirt. If this is a real Levi’s design, then they shouldn’t be saying they crafted it with pride.
44. Message not received
The printed texts don’t really make sense, nor they give out any hints on how to read it. Just by looking at this, it already gives you a headache. Don’t even think of wearing it.
45. You just want to scream
These designers think that they just crafted the best design but in reality, it just sucks more than a hundred percent. Who would even read this right after one try? What’s that weird vertical line even doing there in the first place?
46. Way to censor something
If you’re going to censor a vulgar word on a shirt, at least do it right. They could just have put an X or a white line to cross out that word. Instead, they placed the word “uncensored” on top of it. The word just lost all its meaning.
47. He’s even smiling wearing that
You just can’t bear to pop out a smile knowing that you are going to be modeling for this crappy shirt. No matter how much you tried to jumble these words, nothing would make sense. It would just infuriate you the more you think about it.
48. Big profits for bad design
These med students bought more than 60 of these shirts. If this is the case, they could just have hanged real stethoscopes on their shoulders. So much money was wasted on this terrible design.
49. It’s better just to sing it yourself
A lot of people have become a fan of the Hamilton musical. That’s why Hamilton-designed shirts are popping out of nowhere. Not to mention the badly designed ones.
50. Why do this?
Isn’t it better to just put the other message on the front? By doing this, no one could even read it right. It’s sweet and all but there are just too many questions to ask this gentleman.
51. They took it literally
These designers took the meaning of breathable clothes literally. They even showed a visual of a fart blowing out of the pants. Judging by the fabric, it’s not even close to being breathable too!
52. Wrong placement
There’s a better way to design this shirt without offending anyone. If they could only have just designed it with a normal ampersand, there won’t be any problems.
53. Who sewed these things?
There’s no point in having pockets if they are just going to be as deep as this one. You can’t even put your phone inside it. The only things you could put in there are a couple of coins and lint.
54. Translation fail
Forever 21 thought that they are printing Chinese characters for “Best In The World.” They didn’t know that the shirt is read as “I don’t care.” It still looks cool though.
55. And the winner goes to…
If there are the best-failed clothing designs, this would probably make it to the top. Why would someone even design a half and half shirt and at different lengths? At least try to make the theme related to each other.
There’s just a lot to say to this badly designed clothing. This shouldn’t even exist in anyone’s wardrobe. But at the end of the day, we could only laugh and complain, because these designs would never cease to exist.
