50 weird glitches in the matrix making people do a double-take

Trends being what they are, it’s not uncommon to cross paths with someone may be dressed in a very similar style.

In a large group of people, chances are very high you see people dressed in the exact same piece of clothing, maybe even in the same color. And in some circumstances, everyone dressed the same isn’t uncommon at all. Think school or work uniforms.

However, things get a bit bizarre when everyone is dressed the same and they have similar identifying features.

Let’s take a look at some of these occasions.

1. Blue light special?

Was there a market in one hair color? What are the chances of seeing so many women together who have the exact same shade of hair? Not to mention some of them wearing the same color jacket?

2. Photoshop?

I really want to call Photoshop on this one but I don’t think so. Look past the obvious and look at individual features. Especially between the first and last guy. I’d say weird but true.

3. Potentially embarrassing

Have you ever thought you recognized someone and called out to them? In certain lighting, you wouldn’t even have to be a distance from someone to make a mistake. Or like this, you could be almost face to face.

4. Here’s my take

They’re all single—so no woman buying their clothes for them. They all hate to shop. There’s a small men’s clothing store with limited selection close to work and when absolutely necessary, they run in there to buy stuff.

5. One is a rebel

This place clearly has a dress code. Or maybe just a senior’s dress code. But one of these fine ladies is daring to be different—or at least a bit different.

6. Maybe a uniform?

It’s a music class of some sort. Or at least that’s my guess. So maybe this is more of a school uniform issue and less of a glitch in the matrix?

7. Who wears it better?

So there you are at the airport. You look over and think you see a not so sharp reelection of yourself. And he doesn’t look too happy about this coincidence.

8. Frizzy beards

I don’t understand the current beard craze, and I don’t mind saying so. And the one in the back looks like he has a big ass mustache as well. I would run screaming from either of them.

9. Like ducks in a row

Frankly, black jackets and blonde hair are not all that unique, so this might not be all that surprising. However, if they all have just come from a Starbucks and are carrying the same type of coffee, that would make this weird.

10. Actually…

Does anyone else think this actually might be twins? Because the facial similarities are pretty extreme. However, if they really are, I think it’s time they stopped dressing the same.

11. When did it happen?

We did this world turn us into clones? Everybody must dress the same. Accessorize the same. Where the same glasses. Remember when being unique was a good thing?

12. New friends

If these couples remain friends, do you think they should Endeavour to dress differently? Eventually, it would be creepy, right? At least I think so.

13. Just imagine

You’re in the US for the first time. You’re in the line at the Met in NY and you see this. Personally, I would begin to wonder about how far the cloning process had advanced here.

14. What is she thinking?

I can’t help but wonder what’s going through the mind of the woman in back. At least mine fits better. At least my shoes are better. If I get close enough I’m going to trip her…

15. Come on

There is no way this could have happened due to coincidence. I refuse to believe that these women, independently—and on purpose—chose to wear that outfit. Young or old.

16. Canada Goose

You’d think those jackets were cheap. They aren’t! These weren’t picked up at some inexpensive outlet where lots of people shop. Yet they seem to be multiplying.

17. At least they’re laughing

It seems this happens far too often—that people are just sheep that follow trends. So I guess people need to be able to make fun of it like these two. Or else go crazy.

18. I hope he’s getting paid

Someone can’t just take your picture and start using it in their marketing. I wonder if this guy can convince the powers that be that it’s him and he should be reimbursed somehow. What do you think?

19. Not happy

Look at the body language. Those two are not happy. Is it because of the wardrobe snafu or something else? The really do look alike, so maybe they’re actual siblings who are fighting.

If you were a criminal I could see the advantage of everyone dressing the same. What better way to hind in plain site? No one can pick you out of a crowd when everyone in the crowd is identical.

21. A bit creepy

So image you are in a thrift store and you see this for sale. At first, of course, you think you’re looking in a mirror. Then you’re wondering if there was something your mother failed to tell you.

22. Haunting

Am I the only one who feels like this might be a scene from some dark horror movie? And this is proof that most people are far too engrossed in their phones. Do they even notice each other? Or have they noticed and now they’re trying to ignore each other?

23. Join today!

But all adult men must dress the same. Although I really can’t tell if they are both making the fashion faux pas of wearing socks with shorts.

24. Let’s start a club!

We’ll all dress the same. We’ll all wear our hair the same. At first glance no one will be able to tell us apart.

25. The Twilight Zone

The cashier is looking on in stunned horror. Dear God! Another one! Now imagine if they all got cake donuts with white icing and pink sprinkles!

26. Feed me!

I will say this. One seems to be carrying a clutch instead of carrying an ugly bag. However, one of them is far too thin, and appears to have no shape at all. And what’s up with her neck? Something went wrong in the cloning process.

27. What the heck?

Is there only one women’s clothing store in town? At least one that sells winter coats? Because this is actually kind of unbelievable.

28. Well…

At least only one of them shops at Sephora. Apparently. And they do have different footwear. So not a total glitch in the matrix.

29. He’s watching!

So there you are. You’ve traveled to the other side of the world. And while there, you see him. Your evil twin.

30. Another generic hipster

Do they not realize they look like a bunch of sad clones? At least a lot of them? If you want to join the hipster club, is there some agreement you must sign where you willingly give up all individuality?

31. Nope

I don’t think this one is a glitch in the matrix. I think this is probably two guys wearing the same school uniform. And of course, carrying a very common black backpack. What does everybody else think?

32. Their multiplying

If you look away and look back, will there be more? Or what happens if you blink and look again? And then you look down at yourself and realize you look just like them.

33. But why?

If this group is together, I really can’t believe that this happened by mistake. Nor can I believe the three friends, or three couples, would agree to dress virtually the same. Although I have heard that it is common when going to large amusement parks to dress the same as friends and family, so you can spot each other easier.

34. Hmmm

The same clothes clearly makes sense. However, for blonde updos in a row? At school? That’s just weird.

35. Walk this way

Is this a deliberate setup? Has the person taking this picture instructed the one behind to walk just the same as the one in front? To make them look even more like?

36. If it pays!

This would be kind of funny, actually. If you found yourself looking at someone in person while looking at an ad or stock photo with their face. Although, depending on what is happening in the picture, it could be quite embarrassing for the person.

37. Haha

At least they’re not women sitting like that. And did you notice that these guys get progressively smaller? If there was a fourth one, would he be smaller still?

38. Yikes

Am I the only one who thinks this is an ugly coat? Maybe this was all that was left in extra-large. And more than one local woman was in need of a winter coat. That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

39. And then one day…

You’re watching TV, and you see him. You know it’s not you, so it must be your doppelgänger. And, of course, to prove to your friends that you have seen him, you must take pictures.

40. There you are…

Sitting eating your lunch, and minding your own business. And then your friend notices something odd. Your clone has popped up just behind you!

41. Double vision?

At first you think it’s just a reflection. And then you realize there’s multiple reflections. But finally, it becomes clear. This is definitely a glitch in the matrix.

42. Nope

This cannot be a coincidence. First, most women wouldn’t sit so close to somebody wearing the same outfit. Secondly, if you look closely you will note, they also have the same tattoos on their arm and thigh. I bet these are sisters, perhaps even twins.

43. Double take

I would absolutely do a double take if I saw this. Then take my glasses off and rub my eyes. Because, double vision, you know?

44. I wonder

If your clone is working out behind you, is there any way to get them to do all the hard work while you reap the benefits? Because if that’s the case, I would definitely like to have a clone in the gym with me.

45. No! Just no!

First of all, they must be twins. Or at least siblings. Secondly, if you’ve lost all your hair in front, this is not how to compensate for it. This just looks silly. What does everyone else think?

46. Nah, I don’t think so

I don’t think this is too much of a glitch. Most of us tend to dress comfortably when traveling, and black is a fairly common color. And if it’s summertime, wearing a tank top and piling your hair on top of your head is not that uncommon either.

47. Why?

Why would one adult male had their hair in long braids? Seeing two of them in the same location is mind-boggling. However, maybe it’s just a cultural thing. Who knows?

48. Bookends

That’s what I’m looking at right? Book ends? That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

49. The glare!

You might not have noticed them at first. However, when the movie started the glare from their heads was so distracting. That’s when you noticed you’d spotted a glitch in the matrix.

50. Wait. What?

“Hey buddy. That guy behind you looks just like you. Check him out!” He doesn’t look too impressed, does he?
