Are you ready for a blast from the past?
It’s so fascinating to look through throw-back photos to catch a glimpse of what life was like years, or decades, ago.
These vintage photos gave us a whole new perspective on the past – a few reminded us that some things never change while others are a fascinating peek into moments we knew nothing about.
Check them out:

1. Oklahoma, 1973
In the late 60s and through 1973 when the Vietnam war ended, the “hippie” movement thrived in America.
Young people opened up to new experiences and embraced a kind of life that brought them closer to nature.
In this photo, a barefoot girl sells bouquets of flowers on the streets of Oklahoma.

2. Flight Attendants, 1960
In the 60s, when traveling by plane was not as easily accessible to everyone as it is today, airlines used to pay extra attention to detail, including the uniforms flight attendants wore.
As we can see, these outfits could be both fashionable and risqué.

3. Grandpa and grandson, 1937
This is just a plain old photo of a grandpa having a good time with his grandson on the porch, right?

4. Fun by the pool, 1944
These beautiful ladies were enjoying the summer in the mid-40s.
While the photo has been colorized for maximum glamour, it’s incredible to see how much effort went into looking beautiful by the pool. Surely you can’t get that hair wet!

5. Chilling on the French Boardwalk, 1959
The bikini girl was photographed by Georges Dambier on the Boardwalk for “Jour de France” in the late 50s.
