Several victims have shared their unfortunate online shopping experiences with the world. The results are just painfully hilarious. These photos will surely make you want to think twice before carting the items you have chosen online.
1. Their cat even hates it
The photo of the bikini fits perfectly with the model. However, when it arrived at their home, the said bikini was too small for any human to fit in. At least it perfectly fits their cat, but you can also tell how she hates it.
Is this a shop that makes apparel for cats? It is just too small that it could be clutched in the palm of your hands. Perhaps they failed to ask for its dimensions before adding it to their online shopping cart.
It certainly looks great in the photo, but when it arrived, it’s just a massive disappointment. Instead of a bear, he became a Chewbacca rip-off. I wonder what’s the occasion that made this person decide to buy a bear mask online.
This woman was expecting to have a doormat delivered to her home. She must be excitedly waiting for it as she could finally show it off to their guests. Sadly, what arrived was a block of Styrofoam with the photo of the doormat printed on it.
At first, it may seem to look like a beautifully patterned pajama. You’d instantly realized that you’re wrong after looking closely at the patterns. Well, this is something you can’t bring to slumber parties.
Looks can be deceiving, especially when you are only being shown a certain angle. They thought that they ordered a skillet that could hold enough food for the entire family. Instead, they received a skillet just as wide as a tomato.
Prince Harry and Ms. Megan Markle’s Royal Wedding caused quite a big stir all around the globe. Plenty of people went out of their way to buy merchandise to commemorate the event. Although, this person somehow bought the wrong one.
This person was attracted to how this product was presented in photos. It made her want to pose like a mermaid on land as well. However, what arrived was something that looks like a manatee’s flippers. Well, they say that manatees and mermaids are close cousins.
When shopping online, you can’t let the model’s figure fool you. If there are no specified dimensions included in the picture, might as well not spend your money on that. Or else it would turn out like this.
Even though the dress perfectly fits her size, there seems to be a big problem. It just doesn’t look like what was shown in the photo. Aside from the pigment, even the design had major flaws that just by wearing it is already a disaster.
This person got scammed by a scheming online seller. Instead of sending an item to the couch that looks exactly as what was advertised, they sent this family something confusing instead. They’re just a bunch of pillows stacked on a welded chair. It’s not even glued or something.
This person was probably expecting a cute sheepskin rug that will arrive at his doorstep. However, Walmart has exaggerated its definition of cute. They sent the family a cute-sized rug that just blew their minds off.
During the cold season, a lot would be tempted to buy comfy sweaters and jackets to keep themselves warm. As much as the photo on the left looks appealing, you’d be surprised at what it really is by looking at the right. The place where you pocket your hands is placed at such an awkward spot.
These boots were put on sale for 50 percent. Someone thought that it would be a shame to ignore this sweet-sounding deal. At the end of the day, this person realized that she’s only paying for a single boot and would have to pay the other 50 percent to get the other one.
You’d never get bored looking at the calendar if it is full of wonderful images, like this unicorn calendar. Prepare to be disappointed though, as the first image was only the façade to hide what’s really behind the next pages. They’re full of badly drawn unicorns that put anyone’s imagination to shame.
16. As long as it tastes good
This cake design was just too good to be true. It takes a real cake designer to replicate what was shown in the photo on the left. On the other hand, it seems that the sellers were just stacking chiffon cakes and poured cream all over them.
I mean, you really can’t expect to have a grand-sized pool while browsing on doubtful online websites. Might just as well buy a larger bathtub than investing your money on something as puny as this. You can’t even enjoy a bottle of beer with this disappointment.
This person can’t help but post this shopping fail on Twitter in a sarcastic manner given how disappointed she was. The dress wasn’t even right from top to bottom. Also, the see-through bottom part is another reason why she should not wear this again.
There seems to be a problem regarding the flowers they ordered. So, to compensate for it, these sellers thought it would be nice to send them an alternative to what they previously ordered. And the alternatives are five sticks of spring onions.
20. Not this kind of comfy
This buyer was probably browsing for some comfortable sports shoes that he could take out to a morning jog. However, when their item arrived, it turned out to be more disappointing than expected. Sure, it looks comfortable, but only when you’re using it to lounge at home.
Anyone would want a flower arrangement just as cute as this lion. However, this is just a lure to get people to buy something terrifying. And by terrifying, I mean a bunch of wilted flowers formed to look like what seems to be a depressed king of the jungle.
22. Leaning tower of paws-a
You can’t trust anything you find posted on Amazon. For example, is this cat tower that seems to have lost its balance already. Although, the cat seems to be calm sitting on top of the falling tower.
This person tried to order a 32-inch long pair of pants for himself but was too dumbfounded after it arrived. The actual length of the said pants was way too longer than expected. I wonder what mode of measurement these sellers used?
The item that was supposed to arrive was a Russian Flag embroidered patch. The buyer was excited to apply the patch to his jacket. However, it was the Pride flag that was sent to him. Might as well support this movement then.
This is just beyond evil. This guy was probably hoping to finally play his ordered console once he received it. Sadly, what arrived was just a piece of paper with the printed photo of an Xbox One.
The boots on the right sure look like they could withstand heavy trekking. However, you should consider the fact that this was posted on Amazon. The real thing was just a pair of plain rubber boots painted to look like the desired product.
This person’s dad bought a model gun he found on the internet for his upcoming party. Unfortunately, what he got was a bit smaller than what he thought. But it was also his fault for not reading the entire product description.
28. A lost fidget spinner
This person ordered a replacement light bulb for his home but was surprised after seeing what was inside the box – a fidget spinner. Well, might as well just fidget while figuring out what to do with the missing bulb.
You just can’t trust anyone on online shops. This guy was supposed to receive a whole kayak but ended up with only half of it. His disappointed face tells it all.
This woman’s friend was expecting a TV stand that’s perfect for her TV. However, she ended up having a miniature design of the stand she found on Amazon. It even has the warning “Choking Hazard” above the wrapper.
The embroideries really looked neat and stylish on the product picture. On the other hand, the real thing was an abomination. The jeans aren’t even a slim fit.
32. Knitted blanket disaster
The family was expecting to have a warm-knitted blanket when they tried to gamble their money on Wish. It would have been nice to have it during winter, snuggling together under one blanket. Unfortunately, what they received was an unfinished knit that can’t even cover a small dog.
33. Always check dimensions
Forgetting to read product dimensions is a rookie mistake in online shopping. It’s easy to be hooked by the different designs, but blindly carting the item without even looking at its size is bound to end up badly.
E. L. James’ Fifty Shades of Gray was an extremely famous work and a lot of people were tempted to read it. This person even went far as to order a copy of a novel on a shady online shop. Well, she ended up having a literal list of the fifty shades of gray on a piece of paper.
The shipping must have taken too long that the teddy bear ended up starving. When it arrived at the destination, he’s only skin and no fluff. It’s just a piece of fabric that’s not even huggable anymore.
Seeing a $10 chair is just too good to be true. She only looked at the price and ignored the rest of the details given. In the end, she received a chair that she could display on a dollhouse.
37. Never order prom dresses online
For an important day such as prom day, might as well spend your money on a legitimate dressmaker to fit your dress according to your like. Buying one online is the worst thing you can do to yourself. I mean, no one wants to enter the halls with such an embarrassing dress.
This facial mask just leaves you with plenty of questions like, “Whose face are these people basing their product on?” or “are these meant to be worn by dwarves?” No matter how much you look at it, you just can’t find the answer.
You’d just be pissed looking at this dress. As an imitation, it nowhere looks like the dress worn by the model. Asides from that, the design was just beyond atrocious.
Is it the supplier’s fault for the misleading product photo or the buyer for trusting what was shown? We will never know. What’s clear is that the dinosaur pillow was printed exactly on a white, square pillowcase.
Perhaps the person who made this was just too tired to go along with the details as shown in the product photo. He could have just used a simple color for the borders, yet went to use different colors that made it too irritating to see.
This guy ordered a tank top that may be to allow him to flex his muscles in comfy wear. However, he was sent a tight dress instead. On the bright side, not only his muscles were accented but also several other parts of his body.
It got so late to prepare a normal meal that this family opted for something they could prepare instantaneously instead. The bad thing was, they weren’t able to anticipate that the whole thing was just a bag of green peas and a bunch of other stuff. Were they supposed to prep the rest of the ingredients themselves?
44. Kids would cry running
The original Doraemon plushie looks cute and pleasant to look at. However, since they ordered it from a shady supplier, there wasn’t any guarantee that it will look exactly like the original. The Doraemon they received was an evil spawn with lots of confusing features.
Shopping online means you are participating in a gamble. A lot of the things posted online aren’t what people expect them to be. Just like this pair of cool-looking jeans ending up as sloppily designed pants that no one would like to wear.
46. Wrong in so many angles
This person was expecting a costume for Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear at his doorstep. Unfortunately, what he got was nothing like it. It was just a onesie with a bunch of colors that are not even close to the original.
Since Marvel’s character Deadpool became quite a hit after two of his featured movies, a lot of people began to look for costumes of this iconic character to wear on some occasions. One bought his costume online, and he’s probably regretting that decision every single day.
48. They even doubted her
Sometimes, instead of receiving a bad product, you’d just receive nothing at all. Even the sellers doubted her and stupidly asked for photo evidence of the missing earrings. There’s literally nothing to show.
Even legit online shops make plenty of mistakes too. For instance, this guy ended up receiving a dress instead of the expected pair of pants and glasses. Weirdly, it still somehow arrived the perfect size for him.
Someone ordered a bouquet for Mother’s Day from this online flower shop. Although, it seems that the shop had to delay the delivery to two days later and promised to deliver it with an upgrade as an apology. The flowers were bad but the said upgrade just pisses you off.
Since most of the shopping nowadays is mostly done online, everyone should make sure to browse their items on trusted sites and sellers. If you’ve been scammed, at least leave a review to warn the others about it.
