Everyone makes mistakes and everyone makes a typo here and there. It happens to the best of us but sometimes those mistake make for the funniest of misunderstandings or just a funny sounding word. Here are 50 typos that people have found that didn’t get caught before being posted or printed and sent out into the world.
Take a what?
This news social media page meant well but ended up making quite an embarrassing mistake. This picture shows it had been an hour since they posted it but hopefully they were able to fix it shortly after.
Mary Who?
You have to look closely at this one… This isn’t the movie I remember watching back in the day. Do you think she sings about poop?
Excuse me?
It’s crazy how one little letter can change the meaning of something so drastically. The directions on this pill bottle might prove to be difficult.

Longest wait time ever
I didn’t think the toilet paper shortage was this bad. What will we use as toilet paper in the meantime?
Close…
A lower case “d” and “a” definitely look similar. This might have been a mistake from a non-native English speaker.
Another virus?
Are we going to suffer another pandemic? Is there a new type of virus going around? Or did someone just misspell coronavirus?
Choking hazard
I’ll have to disagree with this warning. Most children do have small farts.
I see what you tried…
We can see what these people tried to do with this shirt but you should probably double check your riddle before putting it on a shirt. Unless there are things called “adorpions” that I have never heard of.
Mix up
These people were so close! They just got a couple of letter mixed up. “Weter Mater” sounds funnier though.
Just breath
We all want good breath and we all want to breathe well. This ad makes it a little confusing on what they are trying to advertise.
New planet?
This turtle is the largest sea turtle on…ear? Did we move to a new planet without anyone knowing about it?
Spell check
This one was even caught by spellcheck but somehow made it through. This should be a good lesson to always check for those read squiggly lines.
Cute idea
This sign would have been cute if it had been made correctly. Sometimes you can’t put all your faith in spellcheck. Nothing is spelled wrong they just typed in the wrong word.
Strickly?
I don’t even think strickly is a word! Sometimes you just have to do a quick google search if you really don’t know how to spell something.
A what instrument?
We get that a capital “R” and a capital “P” look very similar but they’re not even close together on a keyboard! Did spellcheck not catch this one?
Wait what?
Do you think they ask the interviewees if they’re regular? That seems like a personal topic to ask during a job interview.
Autocorrect
Sometimes autocorrect is not our friend. But don’t get me wrong, I love my suitcases too!
Trying too hard
This one is not technically a typo but it’s just as silly. It seems like whoever wrote this was just trying to get more words in their article. Did they think people wouldn’t know that a lions brother is also a lion?
Just a mess
This comment is just a mess. This word seems to be a mix of “literally” and “literary.” If you’re going to try and correct someone you should probably double check your spelling.
Period
No typos here! Just a picky answer section. Apparently putting a period at the end of your answer makes it wrong.
Oops
This headline is probably supposed to say “dying” which makes this much more sad. “Drying mum” just makes it sound so confusing.
So close
This mistake is so subtle you might not catch it at first glance. The “it’s” doesn’t need the apostrophe here.
New technology?
What happened to the days where all we had to do was tap the screen or use the computer mouse to click something? Now we have to lick the screen? That doesn’t seem sanitary.
A big mess
There are so many mistakes on such a little bottle of hand sanitizer. You would think the manufacturer would have caught at least one of them.
Looby
Sometimes when you are typing something and the spelling error is funnier than the original intention you just have to keep the mistake. “Looby” is definitely a lot funnier than “lobby.”
Vandalism
Did no one spell check this sign before making it? It seems like they just sounded this word out and didn’t bother to check if it was correct or not.
Profit over what?
Another error that was made by just one letter! Technically nothing was spelled wrong so spellcheck didn’t catch it but this is another example of why you need to double check your posts before hitting send.
Nice sentiment
This is such a minor mistake but having it on a memorial plaque just makes it sad. It seems like people are still struggling with the differences between to, too and two.
Sexy
This person was probably trying to say “sexist” but just ended up calling this man the sexiest. Do you think he’ll get nominated for sexiest man of the year?
A mess
Whoever typed this sign out made a mess out of the word “inconvenience.” Maybe the program for the sign doesn’t have spellcheck.
Got it right the first time
This commenter wrote the same word twice and managed to spell it correctly the first time but wasn’t as successful the second time around. Maybe they weren’t sure how to spell it and tried to go to for a 50/50 chance of getting it correct.
That doesn’t make sense
The English language makes so much room for error when just one letter is added or forgotten. In this case just one additional letter made the whole bullet point not make any sense.
Sadwiches?
But what if I want a sandwich and not a sadwich? How about a happywich?
New band?
Either there’s a new band in town or whoever designed this shirt is going to get in a lot of trouble. You would think that someone designing a shirt for a band would at least spell it correctly.
Big potato, small dome
This poster accidentally typed “dome” instead of “dime” which isn’t super crazy as those letters are right next to each other on the keyboard. Either that or he just has a tiny dome that looks like a dime.
So many mistakes
There are so many mistakes in this one sentence I don’t even know where to begin. Was this person just not paying attention or was this done on purpose? Who knows?
New fruit?
I wonder if Mingo tastes like mango? They can’t even blame this one on a typo since it was written by hand.
When?
Last time I checked there were only 29 maximum days in February. This couldn’t even happen on a leap year.
Super Mareio
You would think someone who plays Super Mario enough to be posting about it on YouTube would know how to spell his name correctly. Unless there is some sort of knock-off version of the same character.
Fine print
Not many people read the fine print on anything so fewer spelling errors might be caught there. But someone caught this one: someone just left out an “n” in “taking”
Cute
This is actually a really cute sign if only they hadn’t messed up the spelling. It looks like just the rest of the second “P” didn’t get cut out all the way.
New dish?
Is there a new breed of chicken now that restaurants are serving? Did they mutate the chickens with more of their ancestral dinosaur DNA?
Looks correct
This article headline looks correct although it may sound like a weird sentencing. However, if you were to actually read the article you would find out that he is actually being sentenced for beating someone else with a broom handle.
Copy and paste
All these people had to do was copy and paste! They spelled 2 out of 3 words wrong on the second attempt.
Spread who?
The Daily Mail seems to be claiming that a cough can spread Germans across two whole supermarket aisles! Now that would be an event to see.
What happened here?
Two different things could have happened here. Either whoever typed this didn’t capitalize the “L” in “black” or they just accidentally put an “I” where there should be an “L.” Either way, I hope they caught the mistake before printing hundreds of fliers.
You mean Lincoln?
How could there be so many mistakes in just two words? You would think that someone somewhere in the process of making this planner would have caught that mistake.
Horror movie
This recipe sounds like something out of a scary movie. Hopefully no one keeps that ingredient in their kitchen!
Geometry jokes
It seems like people are still confusing the words “angel” and “angle.” The best part is when people respond to it with geometry related jokes.
Work and hubbies
I, too, like to listen to music when I concentrate on work and hubbies. Do you think they were referring to ones own hubbies or other peoples hubbies?8
This might go to show you that you should probably double check your spelling on everything you post before hitting that send button. But no matter what, sometimes those typos are just too funny not to laugh at!
