We tend to think of our teachers as, well — just teachers. We don’t give much thought to their home or family lives, even if we know they have them. Sure, we’ve become old enough to know they don’t live at the school, the way we thought they did when we were kids! But it’s still hard to think of them as people outside the context where we see them every day — the classroom.

But teachers definitely have lives beyond the confines of the school and guess what, they have plenty of thoughts about their students. They get tired of grading papers. They worry about their students’ home lives. And yes, they enjoy trolling you.

Can you blame them? The days when you think the lecture is boring and you’re watching the clock, they’re probably doing the same thing! They’re just older and have to be professional. But that doesn’t mean they don’t occasionally pull off a master trolling job.

They might play a role in our lives for only a short time, but that doesn’t mean we won’t remember them. Maybe because they inspired us to follow our dreams or perhaps because they knew exactly how to troll us.
