Tattoo artists around the world are helping people see their bodies in a whole new way โ including the supposed imperfections they carry.
For example, Barcelona-based artist Cinta Tort Cartrรณ has made art out of stretch marks. Others have incorporated scars into clever tattoos or covered them up with beautiful artwork.
Itโs a nice break from the Instagram-filtered perfection weโre inundated with every day.
Here, weโve put together 50 beautiful pieces of body art that that turn scars and stretch marks into works of art.
1. Humans are amazing
Cartrรณ was inspired by her own stretch marks and her path to accepting them.
