Ah, weddings. We’ve seen enough rom-coms to know that they rarely turn out right. They typically take years of planning, but nobody can quite predict for the bride fainting, the groom forgetting his vows, the flower girl throwing a temper tantrum, or the priest getting the couples’ names wrong.

1. She’s doggone happy for her human
Many couples involve their dogs in their wedding ceremonies. But this pupper stole the show by wiggling and goofing around in the ground during the exchange of vows. How cute is she?
2. Falling in love all over again
This bride found herself head over heels for her groom, but in a different way this second time around. The poor woman was attempting to recreate a fun pose during the wedding photoshoot and ended up with grass in her hair.

Friends dedicated to this very scenario when Ross said Rachel’s name instead of Emily’s as he stood at the altar before a room full of family and friends. This time, it wasn’t an act. Yikes!
Literally. The bride’s dress among other things caught on fire at one ceremony. That definitely was one hot wedding gown.

Couples look forward to their honeymoon, but this bride and groom never anticipated taking this kind of a trip. They tried to catch Grandma when she began to topple over during the wedding photoshoot and everyone ended up comically landing on the floor.

Rapper Young MC sang about being at a wedding reception and “ate so much you nearly split your pants.” Apparently Jeff Grass danced so hard at a reception that he actually ripped his pants. He at least tried to have good form during his toe touch.

During a wedding ceremony, the bride and groom will light their individual candles then join together to light the marital candle, symbolic of their union. The sentiment is beautiful, that is, until you catch your wedding dress on fire.
This poor bride stepped on her dress and fell down the stairs. Her galliant groom clutched her tightly, hoping to save her, and managed to rip his own pants.
Family drama can boil over at weddings, which are already rife with emotion. But when a bride’s mother serves her father with a subpoena, that reaches a new low.
16. Scorned ex ruins wedding
Twitter user Lorraine Baldwin couldn’t believe it when the groom’s ex girlfriend stood up and read love letters he had sent her, sharing private and intimate details in front of everyone, including the bride. Talk about awkward.
It’s quite the fashion faux pas when not just two but three wedding guests wear the same outfit. They all must have great taste. But truthfully, who wore it best?
One groom asked his dad if he could be in charge of handling the meal for the reception. Dad heartily agreed, then decided to plan a menu that would come under budget. Never mind the fact that it was the weirdest wedding reception food to be served.
One groom attempted to make a graceful entrance with his beautiful bride, except he slipped up and tumbled down the steep staircase. The look on his bride’s face says it all. He can blame it on those fancy shoes with the slick soles.

22. Only the bride wears white
It’s an unspoken rule that no one wears white to a wedding except for the bride. No one. Apparently this bride’s mother-in-law didn’t get that memo. She not only wore white, but she wore a wedding dress to boot!
23. Just can’t stay awake
Weddings are emotionally draining and sometimes exhausting for the bride, groom, and wedding party. But the priest isn’t supposed to fall asleep! This one not only took a siesta during the ceremony, but called the bride the wrong name.
24. Wrong names, right wedding?
One bride and groom were called by the wrong names by the priest who officiated their wedding, not once but the entire time. The poor bride couldn’t hold back the tears — she couldn’t stop laughing. So does it count if the wrong names are used?
This is a huge #weddingfail and illegal, too. The younger sister was loving the sweet lemonade she was being served at her sister’s wedding, except it wasn’t childproof. The bartender kept spiking the drink with alcohol.

Before Sandy married her first husband, the best man warned her not to marry the groom. She did, but ended up divorced. Guess who she married the second time around? The best man.

Julie’s hubby-to-be accidentally put ear wax remover in his eyes instead of contact solution for his contacts. He ended up not being able to see anything! He promised his wife that she looked beautiful, but blurry.

We’ve all seen those videos of grooms bawling like babies when the men first lay eyes on their brides as they saunter down the aisle. But Patrick Neville had something else screwy going on with his facial expression. He tried to remain calm, but he looked more constipated, poor guy.
33. Canines crash the party
A dog trainer was asked to help a bride have her six Husky dogs at her wedding. That would’ve been doable until she invited her friends to bring their Huskies along, too. Suddenly during the vows, all that could be heard was a chorus of canines whooping it up during the ceremony.
They definitely didn’t plan it, but this trio of grandmas ended up wearing the exact same blue dress to the same wedding. They even had similar shoes on! Fortunately, they took it all in stride and beamed back at the cameras while wearing their matching outfits.
35. Sense of humor backfires
While serving as best man at his buddy’s wedding, Twitter user Mel decided to try a comical approach to his speech. It was the groom’s second wedding, so Mel thought he’d be clever and “welcome back everyone.” However, the groom did not find Mel quite as funny.
36. A surprise proposal at the reception
The worst place to propose marriage is at someone else’s wedding and reception. But that’s exactly what happened on Jennifer Murray’s special day. This Twitter user shared that her husband’s friend brought her new girlfriend, a stripper, to their event and she proposed to him during their special day. Then they broke up.
Poor bride Amberly could not catch a break. Her fiance tore a calf muscle and was wheelchair-bound. Then there was a freak snowstorm that blew into New Orleans, which axed their water supply. Then their groomsman was arrested. And the list doesn’t end there.
One man was asked to capture the entire wedding ceremony on film, from the bride walking down the aisle to the marital kiss. The problem is that the camera broke right at the start of the event. So he just sat there, pretending he was actually recording it still.
Celebrity Jimmy Fallon had a funny #weddingfail to share, too. His buddy was getting married on the beach and wanted to enter in a grand fashion using a zip line. Except he was too big for the zip line and instead of swooping down to the altar, he was drug through the rocks and sand and ripped his tuxedo pants.
Bubbles and birdseed are just a few of the fun things wedding guests toss at the bride and groom as they exit the ceremony. But someone in the crowd showed off their arm by chucking a fistful of birdseed at the poor bride. She probably washed birdseed out of her hair for days.
41. No one wants to dance
This poor little guy wanted so badly to dance, except he timed it all wrong. He tried to do the electric slide during the actual ceremony instead of waiting until the reception. Hang on for the dance floor buddy!
The cutest little flower girl had finished her duties and as she stood up front at the ceremony, she experienced a fleeting moment of confusion. She wasn’t sure if she was marrying the ring bearer or what exactly was going on. The best part is that she hollered at her mom during the ceremony so that everyone could hear.
43. A groom in need of assistance
The groomsmen played a hysterical trick on the groom and no one could contain their laughter as the pastor delivered the prayer. Apparently the groom’s buddies wrote “help me” on the bottom of his shoes, so when he kneeled at the altar, the guests saw his pretend plea for help.
A priest paused the wedding ceremony he was leading to lecture the guests gathered there about ringing cell phones during services and special events like a wedding. As luck would have it, it was the priest’s phone ringing!
The bride was ready to walk down the aisle. The rest of the wedding party and the officiate were patiently waiting for her. Except one thing was missing – her dad! So where was he? It turns out he was hanging out in his hotel room watching a football game, believing that he still had a few more minutes before he was needed.
46. What did he just say?
Poor Mike Olbinski was standing before God, friends and family, marrying the love of his life. His bride’s father was the officiant and everything was going smoothly until he pronounced the newly married couple as Chad and Jina. The groom’s name is Mike. Whoops!

48. Speak now or forever hold your peace
When Amanda and her husband were exchanging their vows, a random jet skier flew by and offered some advice to her groom. The man shouted, “Don’t do it!” Luckily Amanda’s husband didn’t take off running.
49. The gift that keeps on giving
Poor bride Lynn Maurer couldn’t believe what happened following her wedding reception. Half of her guests ended up with severe food poisoning. It was so bad that three people fell direly ill. Lynn still hesitates to talk about her wedding with people and her standard response to their questions is jaw-dropping.
