Oh, boyfriends. Aren’t they the best? Everything is all fresh and new in the relationship and they treat their significant others like queens. But…they’re still men. And – no offense, men – you can sometimes be a little…”off”…in the best way possible!

Here are 50 boyfriends that tried…and hilariously failed. They are infuriatingly endearing.

1) Apparently we’re baking for the dog

This girlfriend asked her boyfriend to pick up some pumpkin puree because she was going to make a pumpkin roll. When he came home from the store, she sees that it was pumpkin pet food supplement. At least the dog will be happy?

2) This hurts to look at

This boyfriend was asked to cut up the avocado and he did. He cut it the only way he knew how – the very, very wrong way. It’s hard not to cringe looking at this.

3) She wanted a cute selfie

This super tall boyfriend seems to be oblivious to the fact that his girlfriend is a good foot shorter than him. And he also doesn’t seem to understand that she would have liked to be in the photo too. Angles, boyfriend! Angles!

4) Uhhh…thanks?

This girlfriend asked her boyfriend to run her a bath and put some bath products in it. This is what she walked into. He apparently took the request very literally.

5) Verrrry funny

She wanted an 18-karat necklace. He gave her an 18-carrot necklace. Maybe she should have been more specific?

6) Husbands aren’t exempt

This short wife has a husband who likes to hide things from her in high places so she can’t find or reach them. He does it to annoy her and it’s most definitely working.

7) So flattering, thank you

A boyfriend had a photo editing app so his girlfriend asked if he could edit a picture of her for Instagram. Apparently he thought that meant to turn her into Shrek.

8) No…not that Natural Light.

A boyfriend and girlfriend just moved into a new apartment together and she was curious to know how much sunlight was coming in. This is how their cringe-worthy and funny text convo went.

9) He saw something else

She wanted a bag of ice. He somehow read it as a bag of rice (and didn’t seem to think twice about that strange request). Welp. He tried and that has to be worth something.

This girlfriend asked her sweet boyfriend to tie the back of her dress since she couldn’t reach. This is how he did it – and apparently felt proud of his accomplishment.

11) He’s asking for it

This boyfriend knows that his girlfriend is obsessed with grammar and spelling – so, of course he had to go and do this. We have a feeling she let that stick for about 0.001 seconds.

How can this girlfriend live with such a monster?! What is happening in here? What does he have against the last few sheets on the roll of toilet paper?

13) What was the thought process here?

This boyfriend was never taught how to clean the house properly, apparently. And he somehow thought that the vacuum, that rolls over a dirty floor, should be used on the table, where people eat. Alrighty then.

14) He missed one crucial detail

This girlfriend told her boyfriend to dress as The Penguin from Batman. He showed up as an actual penguin. We gotta say, it makes for some funny pictures.

15) Bless his heart

This boyfriend asked if he could help with the cooking. Then the cocoa powder exploded. At least he tried to help clean up.

16) How did this even happen?

This girlfriend kindly asked her boyfriend to finish cutting up the watermelon. And we’re not sure how he normally cuts things but…it looks like it was run through a meat slicer then torn into pieces.

This girlfriend asked her boyfriend to pick up some highlighter – as in, the makeup. But, how on earth this guy was supposed to know what she meant is beyond us. He picked up highlighter markers which is hilariously adorable.

All she asked was for her boyfriend to cut her sandwich in half. Geometry is not this guy’s strong skill. It’s almost painful to look at.

She asked her boyfriend to lay the clothes out to dry. And he took that as, “please pile the wet clothes haphazardly on top of each other.” The crumpled jeans are the worst part.

All she wanted was some grilled veggies. In fact, the boyfriend promised her that he wouldn’t forget them on the grill. And this is why you should never trust your boyfriend with your veggies.

This boyfriend discovered a bottle of his girlfriend’s hair mousse. He then proceeded to take said hair mousse and have a little fun with his leg hair. Okie-dokie.
