Beware of dog signs are a pretty great invention. Whenever we see one, we often imagine that there is a huge ferocious beast on the other side of the fence, and really, for this reason, they are a pretty reliable way of keeping trespassers out. These pictures show, however, that there is not always a direct correlation between someone putting up a beware of dog sign and also owning a vicious attack dog. That doesn’t mean you should start jumping fences though.

While you might not get mauled to death, you could suffer from severe cuteness overload, or even get licked a bunch. If that happens to you, don’t say that you weren’t forewarned.
