Weston turned 5-years-old on September 26th, for his birth he only wanted to give other cancer patients toys.

With his 5th birthday approaching, Weston was asked what he wanted for his birthday wish? The selfless little boy blew everyone away with his heartwarming answer. How many little kids do you know that would give away all their birthday presents? I’m guessing not many.

“I don’t need anything, I want to get Play-Doh and dinosaurs for the children at the hospital,” Weston said when talking about his birthday wishes.

Weston and his family went above and beyond, collecting toys for several weeks in order to fulfill the little boy’s birthday wishes. After collecting as many toys as possible, the family would donate them all to Penn State. The generosity he shows at such a young age is mind-boggling.

The generous 5-year-old and his family were able to collect a total of 3000 toys for the Child Life Program at Penn State Children’s Hospital.

Over the course of several weeks, the Newswanger family collected 3000 toys to donate, including over 1200 containers of Play-Doh, a whole bunch of dinosaurs, and all sorts of other toys. One of the main reasons Weston wanted to do the toy donation was because of how much the toys helped him. Back in 2016, when he was going through chemotherapy to shrink the tumor he had, one of the main things that helped him keep his mind off of the horrible treatment was all the toys he got to play with. Those toys were donated from the Child Life Program and Weston wanted to give kids that same break from reality through toys!
