Art is such a beautiful thing. Sculptures are an art form that can often be seen as serious, grand displays of famous people or maybe some war general.
Some might think itโs boring, but these 45 people saw a sculpture and took the opportunity to strike a pose. Rather than the standard side-by-side, though, these imaginative folk bent the rules (and their bodies) to make them come alive.
You wonโt find sculptures to be so boring after this slideshow!
1. Hold Me.
This girl really brings this bear to life. She really adds the spice by laying in its arms. Looks like this bear is the prince charming who swept her off her feet!
2. Duel to the death!
This guy looks like he found himself in a predicament. Thankfully he had his lightsaber on him to fight off these dinosaurs! It truly looks like a serious battle.
3. Take a sip.
This guy couldnโt help but see how thirsty this sculpture is. I think the sculpture even likes the drink too! Iโm sure the sculpture is of age too, donโt worry.
4. Too cute!
This adorable young one has decided to pose dancing with the statue. It truly looks like quite the dance they are having! Plus it makes it even more adorable being that the statue is exactly her size as well.
5. Liftoff.
This sculpture sure means business. I wonder what that guy did to make him so mad? Iโm sure nobody was harmed in the making of this picture, I hope!
6. Getting to know the locals.
This guy stopped by this sculpture for a quick chat. It really looks like they are talking about something good! The sculpture would definitely look lonely without him!
7. All the single ladies.
This literally looks like this could be from Beyonceโs hit music video โSingle Ladiesโ. I honestly couldnโt tell the difference. I think the middle one is supposed to be Beyonce.
8. Batter up!
This kid posed for the perfect moment. Looks like this sculpture isnโt striking out anytime soon. Donโt worry itโs all for show and no children were harmed.
9. In need of a snack.
This guy was super hungry. Thankfully this statue had some grapes for him. Of course, heโd be fed like a king too!
10. Watch your bags!
This sculpture depicts a tender embrace. Although, they werenโt watching their bags! I wonder if he found anything good in there.
11. Sure is hungry!
This sculpture was starving. In fact, so hungry it looks like it found his guyโs arm to be a tasty snack. Spoiler alert: He got his arm back.
12. Donโt ask, donโt tell.
This girl looks like sheโs just told this sculpture quite the secret. Iโm sure her new friend wonโt tell a soul. Although, the girl had to make sure to shoosh her to make sure she stays quiet.
13. Showing off the land.
This picture is giving me โBFGโ by Roald Dahl vibes. They are for sure quite the pair. I wonder what the sculpture is saying to him.
14. Smartphone user.
This might not be a person, but this modern take with the sculpture is absolute genius. It really looks like heโs actually using the phone. Hope he got a good selfie!
15. Copy cat.
These two decided to pose with the sculptures. I mean I canโt tell the difference between the two, can you? These two are definitely a well-needed addition to the art.
16. High five.
Now, this is a perfectly timed photo. I wonder how many tries it took to get this jumping picture. If that sculpture was near me, Iโd give it five too.
17. Spot the sculpture.
Iโm not sure which one is the sculpture! This guy poses perfectly mimicking the art exactly. It almost looks like it could be from a musical.
18. Clean shave.
Now this one put a smile on my face. This razor really brings the sculpture to life and adds so much meaning in my opinion. Hopefully, they used shaving cream!
19. Handful of hair.
This girl posed so well for this one! It truly looks like this sculpture has a handful of her hair. I wouldnโt make that sculpture mad if I were you.
20. Frolicking fun.
This guy looks like he saw the fun these sculptures were having and joined on in! Although he is a little bit bigger than them. I say he fits in just right!
21. Hero in peril.
Not spiderman! This sculpture looks like itโs got one of our favorite Marvel superheroes by the neck. I have faith spiderman will get out of this one.
22. My leg!
This guy may look like heโs getting attacked by I can assure you he isnโt injured. Instead of the sculptures looking like they were working, this man spiced it up to make it look as if they are hammering on him. The hammer placement was pretty clever too.
23. In the gutter.
This guy made a simple sculpture into a quick comedic act. It looks like this sculpture had just had a nice meal. It seems itโs relieving itself and a whole person is coming out!
24. Not so fast.
This kid managed to hold onto the hands creating a dramatic lift. He sure knows how to pose! It almost reminds me of Lion King, but with people.
25. Flying high.
This looks like a college graduation picture to me. Imagine if you could actually take flight with champagne like this? Sign me up!
26. Swinging around.
When I was younger, my dad used to swing me around as the sculpture depicts. I wonder what it would be like to be swung by both limbs like in the picture. I bet itโs fun!
27. Kiss me before you go.
This girl made herself the centerpiece for this picture. It looks like sheโs saying goodbye to her loved one and sheโs definitely the jealous type. Clearly, she wants all the attention.
28. Donโt forget about me!
This guy couldnโt help but partake in the action of this sculpture. He makes it come alive. It really looks like the sculpture is dragging him along in a hurry.
29. A little karate.
This guy made these sculptures look like a shot straight out of an action movie! Clearly, the sculpture is not amused by his kick. He must be really strong to be able to keep himself up like that.
30. Please donโt hit me!
This guy really knew how to add life to this sculpture. He mustโve done something to make that sculpture really angry. It sure looks like it means business.
31. Late for school.
I wonder how hard it was to catch this on camera. This kid is quite the actor too it truly makes this picture come to life. Thatโs sure a lot of paper to clean up.
32. The missing link.
This sculpture was missing something before. Thankfully this girl completed the line making it a perfect scene. Her size makes her seem like sheโs just one of the kids in the line too.
33. An epic duel.
This sure looks like quite the match. Clearly, this snowman is protecting the people from the dinosaur. What a hero!
34. He doesnโt want to go.
Normally on its own, this sculpture would just be taking a walk. Although, this guy added another dimension to the art. Sure looks like he doesnโt want to go where the sculpture is going.
35. Got any games?
This guy looks like heโs showing something good to this sculpture. Either way, this guy adds a modern twist to this sculpture and itโs hilarious. Itโs almost like they are long-time friends spending some time together.
36. Itโs got her leg!
This girl was the perfect person to pose for this picture. She posted this on her blog to add a little comedy to the insight on her life as an amputee. Iโd say she hit the nail on the head!
37. Perfect timing.
This picture was taken at just the right moment. This person just happened to be walking by and created the perfect scene. The way sheโs marching too really adds to the Roman aesthetic.
38. Taking a load off.
This woman had lost her Obama statue. When it was found they found it like this. It mustโve had quite the party!
39. Steady stream.
This guy positioned himself perfectly. It actually looks like the water is going into his mouth. Hope itโs clean water!
40. Diving in.
This girl added some well-needed flavor to this sculpture. I wouldnโt mess with her if I were you. Looks like this oneโs going in the water!
41. Donโt let go!
This picture took three people to make! Although you probably shouldnโt hang on more delicate sculptures like this. We also want to preserve the art!
42. Naughty statue!
This statue is actually groping the woman! Donโt worry, all parties consented to the making of this picture. It sure is funny though.
43. A little bribe.
This picture was taken at the Constitution Center in Pennslyvania. This picture is hilarious on so many levels. The bribing is clever, but the friend photobomb makes it even more fun.
44. Lunchmeat.
Apparently, this pose isnโt uncommon as we saw earlier in the slideshow. Although this time itโs with a different statue. This girl plays dead really well.
45. Line up.
You can find these statues in China. It almost seems like they constructed the statues like this so that there would be room for a picture-perfect moment. Either way, the boy makes a wonderful addition and completes the line.
Hopefully, seeing this slideshow brightened up your day a bit. These people really added a new depth to these statues. What a creative way to spice up some old art!
