There’s no doubt about it – parenting is tough. And fathers sometimes get a bad reputation for being less involved than their mom counterparts. But that’s absolutely not true!
These sweeter-than-sugar dads are living proof that their children are their entire worlds, and becoming a dad has turned them into big softies.
1) A cool way to remember her
We can’t fathom what it’s like to lose a child. But this dad came up with the most adorable way to commemorate his young daughter. It’s got me teary eyed!
He tattooed it because his daughter passed away and it was the last thing she gave him before the accident.

2) This hard working immigrant father
Thankfully, it didn’t come to him having to give up an arm. But this dad was so dedicated to making sure his daughter got an education he risked everything. They must both be so proud of each other!

3) My dad, obviously
This guy hopped on the first flight to Thailand when I had an epileptic seizure on a backpacking trip. All just so he could make sure he was by my side and I was safe on my flight home. Heroic? Cool? Sweet? Best Dad in The World? Call him what you want.
4) Ryan Reynolds, who wouldn’t hesitate to sacrifice Blake Lively
Ryan Reynolds loves his wife, but he loves his daughter even more. In an interview with David Letterman, shortly after the arrival of he and Blake Lively’s first child, he said:
“I used to say to [Blake], “I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.” I would say that to my wife. And the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.”

5) Dads always lift their kids up
That’s one strong papa! Thirty years later and he’s still able to carry his son on his shoulders… that’s impressive. Most parents have to stop once their kid hits about ten!
6) Right on, dude
Sion Milosky is an iconic surfer, and was determined to pass the love for the waves onto his daughter. Look at the absolute joy on her face! I’d probably be more keen to try surfing if I knew someone could hold me up on the board like this.
Parents will do anything for their children. So when this cool dad didn’t have access to an official sun umbrella to protect his baby’s skin… he made one.
8) At his child’s side no matter what
This is one dedicated dad! It would be so hard to see your child going through any kind of illness, but being there is the best thing he could possibly do.
9) Cuddle time is important
It must have felt like he was waiting forever to hold these two little ones in his own arms. Something tells me they’re going to have one great dad growing up.
My s/o holding our identical twin girls, born premature at 30 weeks, together for the first time. They’re a month old today.

10) They’re excited about graduation day
This is too pure! It even looks like she went to his old alma mater. He waited 18 years to get that photo – and he looks extremely proud.
Since we’re getting closer to fathers day. He took his daughter to his graduation, and 18 years later he proudly accompanied his daughter at her graduation.

11) Dads are with us, even when they’re not
Wow. This is such a beautiful legacy to leave, and way to remind his daughter how much he loves her, even after he passed away. Nothing can compare to that.
My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he pre payed flowers so i could receive them every year on my birthday. Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy. 💜 pic.twitter.com/vSafKyB2uO

12) They’re not afraid to go fashion forward
Matching father-son outfits? Yes please! This duo are constantly showing off their matching swag on Instagram and it’s absolutely precious.

13) Father-daughter glow up
Sometimes it’s hard to remember that your parents were young once! But this sweet before and after photo goes to show our dads are still growing up (and glowing up) when we are.
14) Super heroes raise more super heroes
This dad wanted to support his cool super hero daughter by taking her to a “Fun Run” , and got into character himself! Pretty cute if you ask me.
15) Putting his child’s needs first
This is some next level dad-ing! I hope this is on their way home from work and school, or he’s going to have some very confused colleagues, and awkward business meetings.
16) This dad was determined to share his love of sports
This dad wanted to share his love of sport so much with his blind son, that he found a way to bring it to life for him. He uses his hands to guide his son’s as the ball moves down the court, so he can “feel” what’s happening in lieu of his sight. Incredible!

17) These surrogate dads
What’s that? You’re weeping? Because same. These guys all know the importance of a good male role model in a child’s life and it’s amazing to see so many of them volunteering their own time to come and be that role model.
BEST STORY OF THE DAY: South Dallas middle school started a “Breakfast with Dads” program but many dads couldn’t make it and several students didn't have father figures. The school posted a Facebook request for 50 volunteer fathers… 600 fathers from all backgrounds showed up… pic.twitter.com/y7W9R3qFcs

18) This hilarious dad
He’s teaching his children to fend for themselves! With a side of hilarity. I sincerely hope they escaped the wrath of that moth!
19) This dad making miracles happen
His son couldn’t play sports on his own, but his dad wanted to make sure he had every opportunity the other kids had, so he put on a harness and made it happen. Look at his child’s face! Pure joy right there.
20) A priceless moment
The look on his face says it all – this is one proud dad. Moments like these only happen once, so how lucky they got to capture it like this!
Last minute my wedding photographer suggested I do first look photos with my Dad. I think his reaction shows how lucky I am to have him as my father.

21) They make us feel like rock stars
Look at this little gal, having the absolute best time. Keeping up with the big kids, feelin’ herself. The confidence this is instilling in her is incredible.
22) This dad who doubles as a beautiful princess
This dad has five daughters. And as the old saying goes: if you can’t beat em, join ’em. Sure, he could have gone as a prince, the snow man, or even the reindeer. But he wanted to be Elsa and now they all look beautiful.
23) The pride in those eyes!
“Went to a Daddy Daughter Dance and our previous years picture was used as the showcase, my daughter felt like a super star.”
24) The true star
I don’t know about you, but my brother and I always fought over who got to put the star on the tree. It seems that traditions like this don’t die – and this dad is still happy to lend a helping hand.
25) This dad having a spa day
Neither of them look very excited about their spa day, but maybe the masks are drying. Their pores are going to be SO cleansed after this.

26) Teaching them about music young
Sharing your love of music with kids is a great way to bond. This dad thought he could get his little one into playing along. I don’t think this toddler knows exactly how a guitar works yet… but hey, being a capo is helpful too. Babies will really put anything in their mouthes eh?
27) Using photoshop to create a little magic
This incredibly creative dad created an Instagram page that went viral after he used adorable photos of he and his daughter together, with a little (sometimes a lot) of photoshop to give it extra pizzazz. This pancake one was an instant classic!

28) This pretty dad
This is certainly a creative way to still spend some quality time with your girls while also getting in a round of Halo with the boys. And what a good way to teach your kids that choosing to wear things like nail polish doesn’t have to be reserved to one gender! Dads can rock those pink and gold sparkles, too.
29) Tea party prince and princess
You’re never too cool, too old, or too manly for a tea party. If your daughter wants some imaginary tea… you oblige. That’s just the rules of parenthood.
30) This emotional papa
It’s easy to forget sometimes, and take for granted all our parents have been through to give us the best opportunities in life. And it’s especially hard work for any parents who immigrate from another country! You can see how important giving his children an education was to this proud dad right here.
My brother was the first to graduate with a Master’s in my family. My dad couldn’t stop crying. ❤️

31) Dads are innovators
Sure, maybe you see the air vent on your car as a simple air vent. But not your dad. Nah, he’s determined to make sure your peanut butter cups are the perfect temperature, and will do whatever’s necessary to make that happen.
32) The big bad wolf isn’t always who you’d expect
Kids do and say the strangest things. We’ll never understand why they take such a liking to the random side characters, or villains in a story. But what’s important, is that we support them in their choices – no matter how strange.
33) Never stop learning
Education is so important, and it’s not just what we learn about in school. Developing a healthy love of reading is a great way to keep kids learning throughout their whole lives. And what better place to read than on public transport? Start ’em young!
34) This human pillow
Prioritizing the comfort of your children (or children’s children) is the sign of an epic, dedicated dad. And after a long day, you just need a shoulder to lean on, or somewhere to hang your head.

35) This dad throwing a literal (and positive) kind of shade
This dedicated dad held his hand up to keep the sun out of his young daughter’s eyes on their morning train ride. That’s true love right there!
36) Teaching individualism
“One of the greatest invitations we can give to our children is to be who they are. Show them to be their unique self is valuable. Don’t try to be someone else. Comfort in your skin is beauty, embrace it.” – Dad Swagger
Dads teach us some of the most important lessons in our lives. That’s why having a good role model is so important. This dad is a stunning example of that! It’s not enough to just say “be yourself” – actions speak louder than words.

37) Prince Charming
This adorable dad dressed up as prince charming to take his daughter (Cinderella) to see her favorite Disney movie. What a lucky little girl she is!
38) This super hero
“My dad volunteering as Batman bringing joy to kids fighting cancer at a children’s hospital.”
This guy isn’t just dedicated to being an amazing dad for his own kids, but for other kids in need too. A real super hero!
39) Raising a future marine biologist
Look at the wonder behind those little eyes! This is a father-baby moment that he’ll remember for ages. The little one? Well, not so much. But at least they’ll have this picture.
40) The whole team’s here
“I was the last of my cousins to join the dad group, but the team is finally assembled.”
These little kiddos are going to grow up as the best of buds, surrounded by some pretty proud dads and second cousins.
We don’t deserve cute dads! Their love is so pure and so important. It’s beautiful to see them out here protecting and supporting their little ones from the day they’re born, to the day they grow up and become a parent themselves. It’s about being there for little moments like having a tea party, as well as the big events like weddings and graduations. These sweet dads clearly love their kids to the moon and back, and it shows.
