There is nothing more heartwarming than seeing a talented child full-fledged embracing their skills! Whether they love to sing, dance, paint, write, do gymnastics, sing, play an instrument… You name it. If a child is creative and passionate about something, they should absolutely go for it.
There is something especially special about dance. When a little kid has a knack for dancing, it is so impressive. Dancing is hard! Plus, to be able to perform in front of a large group of people without getting major stage fright is extremely impressive.
Roxy Brennan is definitely a wonderful example of this.
At only 4-years-old, Roxy Brennan is a dancer — and she is fantastic. In a video uploaded to YouTube on February 2018, Brennan is shown dancing her face off and it is marvelous.
What makes it even cuter is that she was dressed as Wonder Woman — yes, the super cool and inspiring superhero. She rocked an extra sparkly version of the classic costume that consisted of a blue and white star-patterned skirt, a red stop with a gold belt design, a gold headband and a flashy red cape.
And she made good use of that cape and flowed it around — it was mesmerizing!
What makes it even more awesome — as if it could get more awesome — is that the song she was dancing to was the classic “Holding Out For A Hero” by Bonnie Tyler. If you don’t know it, it is a perfect song for someone dressed in a Wonder Woman costume. It’s all about needing a hero, plus it is super intense and empowering and is sure to lift people up when they listen to it.
After her performance, Brennan won first place overall and Miss Petite Title Winner (this was a Petite Primary Jazz Solo). It was choreographed by Jesse Beaudoin and put on by C & C Dance Company and took place in Baltimore. Additionally, the costume was made by @soroxydesigns (on Instagram).
In the national dance competition, the dancer whipped out several different moves that were so impressive. Some were influenced by ballet and modern dance. She did moves that tested her strength and rhythm and she hit them right on the mark.
She even threw in some moves that showed off her flexibility and looked like they were straight out of the gymnasium!
The amount of confidence she exudes is so impressive as well — especially for someone so young.
The video has gotten tons of views since then, currently mounting up to over 160,000 likes. It also has more than a thousand likes, which is so impressive.
If this adorable clip teaches us anything, it is that any young girl is capable of doing anything if she sets her mind to it! If you want to be Wonder Woman, you can be Wonder Woman. This young girl is such a hero at only 4-years-old, we can’t even imagine how inspiring she will be in just a few years!
