Meet 4-year-old Sophia Urquijo.
The natural born star from Florida performed one of the most epic sing-a-long performances in all of sing-a-long history. Sophia sang to Disney’s hit movie Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go” alongside her classmates for their preschool graduation ceremony.
Front and center, Sophia stole the show with her passionate performance as she sang with a fierce and robust heart, expressive facial expressions, emotional arm-flailing and impassioned feet stomping.
She did it all! The rest of her class sang along in a polite, and almost hesitant manner, with stone-like feet and hands by their sides. Towards the beginning of the YouTube clip, you can see the curly blonde headed Sophia wiping away tears as she trills to, “If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me/ One day I’ll know, if I go there’s just no telling how far I’ll go.”
“She’s pretty spunky so I’m not going to say she didn’t have it in her, but I’ve never seen her do anything like that, to that extreme,” said Sophia’s mother, Michelle Neshin, to Inside Edition.
Michelle filmed and posted Sophia’s passionate Moana performance to the internet. Sophia’s rendition has accrued over 17 million views on Facebook and 1.2 million views on YouTube.
Her mother Michelle described Sophia as “typically very outgoing and silly.”
“When I first saw her from the audience, I was a mixture of absolutely surprised and proud,” Michelle explained to Babble. “Because as the smallest and youngest one of her graduating class, she had the confidence to get up there in front of an auditorium full of people and really be herself.”
Sophia is a natural born star in the making.
When the South Florida-native is not stealing the show on stage, she is a child model and actress, reported by Babble. Whether it be on Broadway, the pop scene or on the big screens, we’re sure we will hear more from and about this talented cutie in the near future.
