Kids are a joy to behold. Their inquisitive nature and never-ending curiosity can inspire anyone to want to help them as much as possible. No help can be more appreciated than that which they receive from school. Their education, after all, is the most important part of their early development as they become equipped with the knowledge necessary to overcome the hardships of life.
Despite all the overwhelming support, some kids just need more time than others. It doesnโt make them any less intelligent by any means! It just means they still need to try and get over the hump some way.
The following 35 slides demonstrate moments that prove a little more schooling and patience can go a very long way. What you see next may shock you into laughter, or have you shaking your head out of worry. In the end, it proves that no matter what, kids will just be kids.
1) Prayer Of An Answer
Itโs not a bad idea to ask for divine assistance especially in the middle of an exam. Anything can happen when you donโt know the answer and leave it for the high heavens to come and save you. Next time, maybe try not using the lordโs name in vain.
2) Selective As Can Be
This student read the instructions extra careful. At least the response made perfect sense and can be considered correct, techinically. Sometimes, having luck counts and this was one of those times.
3) Smell The Flowers
Students can be a little cocky with their intellect. You never know when theyโll try and rub all their sass in your face by being snarky. Good selection on the right answer, but try a better description of your explanation next time.
4) Use Your Imagination
The first part was simple: count with your fingers. The second part, not quite. Youโll have to try and get to thinking about other ideas if you want to get this queston right.
5) Leave No Spaces In Between
If the paper was bigger, the student may have gone and drawn the entire Milky Way. His drawing skills are quite impressive, at the very least. Did we also notice he got the questions right? Now thatโs a superstar in the making!
6) Brain Gains
Did you read the instructions? Context clues may have been necessary on this question as a helpful hint. If this was the first answer, we wonder what his next 6 answers were.
7) Casper The Friendly Question
Whiting-out permanent marks on tests is a tradition as old as timeโฆnot really, but you catch my point. Thatโs why the teacher always says you have the option of skipping and coming back if you immediately donโt know the answer. Maybe this person will also learn to be a little less obvious when trying to mask words next time.
8) Mother Wears The Pants
Thatโs how it goes for dad sometimes. He may seem like the big bad wolf, but mom is the one true force of nature to be reckoned with. You donโt want to come crossing toe to toe with a mama bear in these parts.
9) Gut Feeling About This
That wouldโve created an interesting ripple in the space-time continuum. As nice of a gesture as the idea is, it probably didnโt earn him the necessary points on the question. Abe Lincoln wouldโve probably told this student to not write that answer if he lived during the same time.
10) Stand By Me
Biology mixed with social institution puns can make for some clever jokes. This question was, of course, not referring to empty prison cells that existed, but rather actual cells of life. While the question does need some fixing, the response was indeed honest and not far from the truth.
11) No Golden Arches Here
Not exactly certain why McDonaldโs was brought into the picture, but apparently they need to establish some business on other planets. Regardless, weโll give the student credit for his first two responses. His third answer, while correct, really had no bearing on this exam question.
12) Iced To Meet You
This person definitely took the phrase โbriefly explainโ to new briefs. Every good student knows a one-word answer never suffices. Just bring more adjectives, verbs, and nouns to the party and youโll have what youโre looking for. For a one-word answer, itโs not terrible in that itโs actually factual.
13) Time Goes By
Very, very clever. Sometimes the most obvious of choices isnโt necessarily the most appropriate. It can be easy to choose, but try and come up with something more creative next time.
14) Math Is The Language Of Science
Not a bad way to explain yourself. We all remember those math wiz kids who went straight for the answer without showing their work. The shortcuts wonโt always guarantee a positive exam score, so best get to writing those steps out nice and neatly.
15) Sign On the Dotted Line
Way to state the obvious. The answer should have been Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but it appears as if the question was read too intently. Kudos for at least giving a response that wasnโt wrong.
16) Obsessive Alphabetical Compulsive Disorder
Talk about having everything in order. This student wrote each word based on the alphabetical order of their spelling. We will say, weโre pretty impressed that they were able to actually pull off such a tedious task.
17) No Subject Off-Limits
Crude jokes run rampant out of kidsโ mouths sometimes if weโre not quick to douse those flames. This one took a spin in an awkward direction. Whatever kind of collection this student thought about was surely not one that was real.
18) Ghosts Nโ Stuff
Monsters and ghosts are things kids conceptualize pretty early on. So it was no surprise that this student realized that ghosts arenโt real, and therefore, canโt be left behind. Itโs pretty hard to refute this logical response.
19) Grounding Love
An eloquent answer and rightfully made for any other scenario other than during an exam. Endearing as it may be, itโs got no room for this answer box. Besides that, itโs not a bad pickup line if used correctly.
20) My Name Is Charlotte
Meet the adorable two-year-old Charlotte. Sheโs incredibly excited about minions, baby dolls, and even the Rebel Alliance. On the contrary, Grandpa Joe received no love whatsoever.
21) Less Is Sometimes More
This student had no intent to cut the fat out of his answer. He was rewarded for the first part of the statement, however, his teacher let him know that the rest of it was better left unsaid. A reminder of the old adage: If you have nothing nice to say, then you shouldnโt say it at all.
22) Not All Enzymes Wear Capes
When you put two and two together, you sometimes end up with 5. This student simply thought it all made sense in the end. As you can see, not all enzymes wear capes.
23) Shine Bright Like A Diamond
Clearly no need to disrespect the rules of the road. Bright beams can save lives if used on dark roads where visibility is very clouded. Just remember to turn them on only when necessary and donโt be pushy when someone is in front of you. Thereโs no doubt this student will come to appreciate this feature about a car one day and not be too quick to criticize. Then again, he isnโt exactly wrong, is he?
24) Happy As Can Be
Kids have a harsh way of trying to be funny. This of course is no laughing matter especially when it comes to offending someone for their sexuality. Regardless, if this was the so-called goal, then it was pridefully met with no objection.
25) Move It Along People
Kudos to a terrificly placed reference from a 90โs popular jam. However, it would not get full credit on a test. The student still gets recognition for trying to use his wit to his greater advantage.
26) Nonstop Nerd
Nerds get picked on heavily in schools and we all know that through our very own experience growing up. Big nerds make it big on the market though and rarely are they disrespected when it comes to their finances. As a reminder, not all nerds wear the same garbs.
27) Unlimited Choices
If you canโt find the best answer, just make it up! This student wasnโt about to give up on her faith in science, and so chose the only route possible: bubble your own answer choice. The student will be an expert test-taker once they mature, thatโs for sure.
28) Math Rules
Kids can tend to get carried away with their innocence. Itโs okay as long as the ones having perverse thoughts are the adults that are trying to manage things. Hopefully, someone kindly reminded this child about the importance of spelling โMathโ correctly.
29) Prefix Plus Root Word
A unitard? Sounds like some kind of new age candy. At any rate, this student deserves at least an โAโ for effort for putting pieces together logically.
30) Poetry In Motion
Can you write a haiku as good as this one? If not, donโt worry because there are few who can. This is classic sass at its best and it just proves how kids can be funny when they try.
31) Identify The Animal
In this game of animal labeling, there seems to be a couple of mistakes. The most important one being the use of Wordbank as the name of an actual animal. Just imagine seeing a wild Wordbank trying to survive and gather food for its cubs.
32) Lab Report Of The Year
The title is an instant grabber if you know what itโs referencing. Without it, who knows if anyone would actually want to read this crumpled up piece of paper. Letโs hope the body of the work is as good as the introduction.
33) How In The World
Weโre not sure how this was concluded. Honestly, thereโs nothing that gives us one slight clue. If the rainbow is any indication, then maybe this student was just imagining winning a pot of gold after that response.
34) Opposites Attract
According to this studentโs logic, pretending to push a ball would all the ball to stay in place. Thatโs cute considering heโs pushing his pencil into a paper that probably shuffled everywhere. Physics isnโt this personโs strong suit, and thatโs totally fine.
35) The Tongs Song
Tongs are common lab equipment used by most scientists and researchers. The problem with this labeling is that it gets confused with womenโs lingerie all the time. If your child makes a booboo on the spelling, luckily itโs only a letter away from being fixable.
