Nature is awesome. It is powerful. It is resilient. And it can be downright strange.

Trees have existed on this planet for around 370 million years. This is hundreds of millions of years more than modern-day humans have existed. It’s no wonder they are so good at adapting to changing environments or harsh conditions.

If it weren’t for trees, we wouldn’t be around. The 3 trillion trees on our beautiful planet account for 30% of all the land. They also provide us with a vast majority of the oxygen we breathe. Trees are pretty magical.

These 30 trees found strength and perseverance in the most difficult, bizarre, and unlikely places.

Humans should feel very grateful and fortunate to have such beautiful trees living on this wonderful planet with us.
