The right packaging can keep products safe during storage and delivery. It can also ensure that products last for a longer time, particularly fresh produce.
Unfortunately, not everyone is on the same page when it comes to deciding how to properly package an item according to its size and weight. Just take a look at these 30 packaging fails to get an idea of what we mean.
1. Individually packed sodas
The sodas are probably packed this way to ensure that the surface doesn’t get scratched or the store’s just giving its customers an extra container. Either way, it doesn’t make any sense.
2. A bag inside a box
For someone who’s eager to eat his chocolates, this one’s definitely frustrating. After you open a box, you’ll see another pack which you have to tear open just to get to your chocolates.
3. Don’t try to justify it.
We get that small packages are easy to steal, but this? That much plastic is just unacceptable.

This strawberry must be so precious. Imagine the effort put into making sure each piece looks exquisite and expensive.

So, this person ordered bubble wraps. Amazon was feeling extra generous so they decided to wrap his protective packaging with protective packaging.

At first, you might think that the box is empty. But lo and behold, there’s a pack of batteries at the bottom. Way to go, Amazon.

To ensure this product’s safety, it was put inside a box. Then, a couple of airbags were placed on top of it to make sure that it wouldn’t break or get damaged along the way.
8. Fit for the lazy
If there’s one person who’d find this packaging great, it’s a lazy person. Whoever made it decided to take the fruit out of its own packaging to put it inside another packaging.
9. A new way to pack sliced bread
But what if you need more than one slice? You’d surely end up with lots of trash if you get more than one.
10. Not going anywhere
It looks like someone got tired of lining up these tubs vertically. He felt the need to be extra creative and extremely careless with redundant packaging.

This is probably one of the most pointless packagings you’ll ever see in your life. It’s just sad.

This store probably thinks that it’s giving a solution for people who have a hard time peeling pineapples. In reality, it’s just wasting plastic.

This packaging won’t just ruin the icing on those donuts. It’ll create a lot of waste, too. Imagine how much plastic you’ll be throwing away if you buy a dozen of those donuts.

Imagine the effort put into peeling those oranges and putting them inside plastic cups. Yes, it’s quite pointless.

The way this pill is packaged is similar to the Russian doll. With that amount of packaging, someone might die from allergies because it took too long to open.

Amazon has to be trolling everyone who orders for them. It’s quite impossible for such a big company to not have small boxes.

It would have been wiser to put the tubes in one envelope. The company’s policy is clearly not into looking after the environment.
26. Concealer
Amazon isn’t the only one running out of boxes. Sephora is experiencing the same problem. That box for a 0.05oz concealer- what a waste!
27. An obsession with plastic
One, jelly beans aren’t really supposed to be packaged separately. Two, they aren’t supposed to be individually wrapped in plastic.
28. Do the math
This man ordered 700 screws. Each piece came individually wrapped.
29. These organic oranges
Even if you like to eat organically grown fruits, you’ll probably have a hard time eating these organic oranges. Just imagine peeling each plastic packaging and you’ll understand why.
30. Ironic
Ordering these biodegradable sponges might make you feel good. Seeing that much plastic wrapper with the sponges, however, is a totally different story.
