If you’re throwing things away and there’s not a separate recycling bin, everything gets mixed together. But, with this eco-friendly garbage can, there are places to put your recyclables outside the trash can. This is most appreciated by the people who look in trash bins for recyclable cans and bottles. This shows someone really cares.
2. Getting the chicken to other side of the road
It’s always so sad when you see roadkill as you’re driving. That’s why this designer found a safe way to get animals across the road. Plus, it looks really nice with all the green scenery. Talk about taking nature into consideration!
3. No need to cut the tree
When you want to build a restaurant where there’s a tree, no one said the tree has to go. This designer made this a restaurant to remember by keeping the tree as part of the decor. This really adds to the feeling of the restaurant while respecting Mother Nature.
We all know turtles are not known for their speed. That’s why the designer of this train track in Japan built a special lane for these turtles to cross. They won’t get hit by a train and can still go at their own pace. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Paper is better for the environment than plastic now matter how you slice it. Even when it comes to packaging, you should always choose paper over plastic. That’s just what the sender of this National Geographic did. Mother Nature thanks you!
The relationship between dogs and fire hydrants is no secret. But now, this fire hydrant has another purpose. It’s a water fountain too. When your pup wants a drink he can just go up and get it himself. Now that’s service!
Whoever installed this fence could have uprooted the tree to make the fence fit. Instead, they worked around it, leaving nature untouched. This probably was more work then to just cut into the tree, so the hard work certainly does not go unnoticed.
We know that using water fountains helps to save on the number of water bottles used. But, did you ever wonder how many? This water fountain takes the guesswork out of it by telling you just how much waste has been eliminated. Now that’s efficient.
When there was a tree in the middle of this roundabout, the designers had two choices. They could have either cut it down or built around it. The took the road that is probably less taken, but the one that is more valued.
Chances are you’ve seen tree houses, but how about playgrounds supported by trees? That’s just what’s going on here in Germany. It’s a cool concept that both kids and parents should love.
Talk about respecting nature! Even the squirrels get some love in Washington. Check out this squirrel crossing bridge. No worries about jumping from limb to limb, squirrels can cross at the leisure and with ease.
Here’s another squirrel crossing, this one in Australia. As you can some birds were mistaken that it was for them. Luckily there were no squirrels around to see them. This rope bridge is very cool and certainly shows a respect for animals.
Recycling is made a little easier with these cans. As long as you weren’t hoping to claim a deposit, if they do that where you live, these peal off labels make it easy to recycle. Just peal them off and they’re ready to go.
Not even a wall was going to stop nature here. This is respect at its highest. The designer here carved a hole out so that the tree limb could be preserved. Wow. Just wow.
When you have any type of a spout, it’s usually going to leak. Usually that water gets wasted, but not here. The ingenious designer decided to put the plants beneath them so that the dropping water would go to good use. Good thinking!
16. Making room for the trees
No walls were going to get in the way of these trees. Instead of cutting the trees to fit the walls, the walls were cut to fit the trees. This unique design is one that shows a respect for nature. This way you can have the best of both worlds
Cutting these trees would have been the easy way out, but certainly not the most fun! It must be cool to drive down the street and see this. If you look closely, the trees kind of form a heart shape too.
While some people would just throw away the packaging, if you think out of the box, it can be reused. Moleskine packaging can be used as a ruler. Instead of throwing it away, get measuring. You save on waste and the cost of buying a ruler.
It’s not everyday you see a tree inside of a kitchen. That’s what makes this one so unique. It may get in the way every now and again, but this is a serious respect for nature.
You’ve heard of a tree house, but how about a tea house? This tea house was built inside a quarry in China by a company called Trace Architecture Office. The structure was built to accommodate the trees so everything could co-exist together.
21. We will “knot” cut down any trees
This red pedestrian bridge in the shape of a knot is the brainchild of a company called NEXT architects. They took the scenery and landscape into consideration when they built this bridge that gives people a great view of the Chinese city of Changsha.
22. Living with the trees
If you want to live in the woods, then this is the way to do it. There was no cutting down of any trees to make room for this house. It looks like it was placed right in the middle, right where it was supposed to be all along.
23. A place for the frogs
Who said frogs can’t enjoy the pool too? This designer made a small device that prevents small animals from getting stuck in pools. Maybe this little guy can catch a tan too while he’s at it. Who knows?
24. Everything gets recycled
While you may look at this and wonder if it’s a fork or a knife, these are actually knives made from recycled fork handles. Try using these at your next party. You’ll be the talk of the block.
This 7-11 in Mexico let the tree stay inside the store to show respect for nature. Imagine going in for a slurpee and then seeing this tree. This is a very cool idea that could inspire other companies to do the same.
Straws are not the environment’s best friend. That’s why these cups have a handy place to sip your drink. It eliminates the need for straws, helping the environment out while still letting you enjoy.
Here’s another take on a trash can that allows recyclables to go on the outside of the can. This makes it easier for those who look for these cans. It also allows for all of the trash to stay with trash and the recyclables to be on their own.
These crabs have it made in Australia. They have their own crab crossing. Christmas Island in Australia has over 30 bridges and underpasses that allow crabs to get safely to the beach during mating season. This is nature at its finest
The designers here could have tried to blast the rock to make way for this fence. Instead, they chose to build around it. Nature can co-exist with any type of structure with a little creativity and imagination.
A storm damaged this tree. Instead of cutting it down, the town decided to to turn it into a piece of art. This is a great example of looking at things differently. When you think out of the box, unique things can happen.
