Your pet is precious to you, usually getting a fair share of your love and attention. Sometimes, though, they just act plain creepy. What are you to do when they start acting weird? Some people might chalk it up to the paranormal. Even others post about it for others to read about.
But what exactly causes this weird behavior? It seems like they see or hear stuff that you swear is not there, and sometimes will avoid an area altogether. Stranger still, you can take them back into that same room or area later on and they act as if nothing is wrong.

1) How many licks?
According to this poster, their Pomeranian-chihuahua mix is like any normal dog. Except for his creepy little habit of walking underneath his chair to lick his ankle once, and only once, before walking away, every time.

2) Bossy the Paranormal Pooch
Here is Bossy the Paranormal Pooch growling and barking at something unseen. According to the owner, Bossy does great at alerting them to the paranormal. While the video is made up of a whole slew of clips, most of the activity occurs in the owner’s bedroom, mainly in the form of light anomalies, such as “orbs.”
3) Teleporting cat
Reddit poster shatteredcoffee relates a story about his cat. It seems he wanted to keep his cat out of a particular room in the house due to an allergy issue. One day someone accidentally let the cat into the room and closed the door. The poster went to retrieve the cat, but before he could open the door he turned around and found his cat behind him.
4) Who’s there?
The little dog in this video seems to have spotted something in the other room. Who knows what it is. By the way the other dog is acting it could be nothing at all. Then again, it could be someone in the other room getting the dog’s attention while wearing a costume or scary mask. Since the person filming the video won’t really show the other room, we’ll never know for sure.
5) A perfect semi-circle
Redditor gotanygrapes64 tells a tale of how, when they were younger, their dog had ended up miscarrying six puppies. The next morning, the family found that the mother dog had buried her puppies in a perfect semi-circle around the front of her doghouse.

6) Something on the ceiling
This cat seems to see something on the ceiling, even though her owner claims nothing was there. Is it a bug or something spooky, such as a ghost? In fact, at the end of the video the cat looks like it is playing with something or someone.
7) The ghost cat
This story is about a cat, though this one is a ghost cat. Redditor MissesFeatherBottom was at a friend’s house watching TV in the basement. Then her friend went upstairs to make snacks. While she was gone, a cat came out and greeted the friend. When her friend returned she asked about the cat. To her surprise, her friend said their cat had died years ago.

8) Something in the closet
This 6-month-old beagle, named Louis has detected something in the pantry in the kitchen. Is it an animal, or is it something more sinister. Some observers claim to see a blurry face in the bottom left corner of the closet. Is there something there or is it just a figment of their imagination?
9) You are on your own
You have to feel kind of bad for Redditor MisterPhamtastic’s dog. His dog, which sleeps in a dog house outside, at times barks at nothing. The dog even backs up as if something invisible is approaching him. For his part, MisterPhamtastic leaves the dog to his own devices to deal with what is out there. Poor dog.
10) I’m watching you
Redditor alexa-488 talks about how her cat likes to watch guests that come to the house. What is especially creepy is how the cat will take a position on the table watching her guest sleep. Many a time a guest has awoken in the middle of the night only to see the cat staring at them in the dark.

11) Stare down
Redditor grey1111 was cleaning his living room when his dog started barking at the wall for no reason. In fact, the dog, which usually doesn’t make a peep, was staring intently as if she was staring at someone or something unseen.

12) George the cat
The cat in this video, named George obviously sees something, but what is it? The cat scrambles around trying to find something around the windows in the room. Is it a bug, rats in the wall, or something far more sinister?
13) An invisible force
Imagine two dogs freaking out in the same area. That should tell you right there something is going on. In this case, two separate dogs, weeks apart, were pushed by an invisible force at the exact same spot while being walked. Talk about creepy!
14) Unseen visitor
Here is dog that obviously sees something that the human observers in the room cannot. In addition to the dog barking, the owner also said that he experienced a temperature drop at the same time. The question then becomes, is this a ghost or does it have a more mundane explanation?
15) The garage
Golden doodle owner marroww was home one night with his dog. Suddenly, they could hear noises coming from the garage. Thinking it might have been a cat or raccoon, the pair traveled downstairs to see what it was. Upon reaching the garage, the Golden doodle runs out into the side yard and barks for 5 minutes straight. While it could have been an animal, who really knows?
16) Dog sees something
In this video, this dog sees something that the owner doesn’t. The presence, or whatever it is, seems to be beyond the door in the living room area. Now, it could possibly be something outside that the owner can’t see or hear, but with pets, who knows for sure?
17) Anybody there?
Redditor _kupokupo was lying in bed with her boyfriend one night when their dog started growling at the doorway at 3:33 a.m. After 5 minutes of growling, the service TV cut out as well, leaving screen full of static. Then the dog acted as if something had walked into the room. As the Redditor laid there the TV then cut out, causing her to hide under her comforter for the rest of the night.
18) Touching photo
Reddit poster ByeFeliciaBye recounts how she had a dog that had died. A couple of years later she ended up getting two young cats. One of the cats would climb up on the couch and touch the picture of the dog while looking at her owner. The creepy part was that this was the only picture she did this with; almost as if she knew that the dog was important somehow to the poster.

19) Nightmare situation
This Redditor’s dog came into the room one night and jumped in between the sisters that share a bed. Half asleep, the oldest was shocked when her pet turned its head and barked at the wall for about 20 seconds straight. Then the dog acted as if nothing had happened.
20) The break-in
One Reddit poster recounts the tale of how a dog he had for 14 years dragged him out of his bed by his pajamas one night. The poster was eventually able to get the large mastiff calmed down after two hours. The next morning he found his truck window smashed in and a bunch of his stuff missing. It sounds like he should have listened to his dog.

21) There is nothing there
Sleeping in a house where a suicide had occurred, especially if you don’t know about it, had its own set of bizarre happenings. The dog would sit and stare at a wall in the living room and just growl. Nothing short of touching the dog would break them out of their zone.
22) Is something there?
Here is a video of a dog that is afraid to go into the kitchen as if something is in there. The dog’s owner even lays out some snacks for the dog to entice him to venture into the room, but as soon as he gets close he is stopped as if by an unseen force. The next day the dog’s owner lays out some snacks in the same room and the dog enters as if nothing is wrong.
23) The closet
Waking up at 3:30 a.m., Redditor CityForAnts was awoken when he heard his dog barking. They walked out and saw both their dog and cat sitting and staring at the closet door. The dog almost seemed as if it was waiting for someone to come through the door.
24) An invisible presence
In this video, puppy Zoey barks and growls at something her owner cannot see. According to the dog’s owner, there is nobody in the house except him and Zoey. In the video, Zoey walks into the dining room and acts as if she sees something, even though nothing is there.
25) Scaredy cats
Redditor 369DAMNyoFINE was sleeping over at their grandparent’s house one night when a door in the room they were sleeping in slammed open. The two cats that were sleeping with them jumped up, their hackles raised. Then, both of their heads turn in unison as if something was walking across the room, only to end up staring at them for 10 seconds before leaving.

26) Sneezy snake
Imagine lying in bed and you hear a sneeze in your room. Not a big deal, unless you are supposedly in your room by yourself. One redditor poster had this exact experience. Picture the thoughts that ran through his head, such as a murderer in his closet waiting for him to doze off. He had no idea how he was going to sleep until he remembered his brother’s pet snake was in the room.

27) Ouija board
Redditor VeritasWay used to play with a Ouija board when they were younger. That is until a spirit named John was summoned. Their dog, which was also in the room, immediately jumped up and started barking down a long dark hallway. They immediately stopped using the board and never used it again.
28) Trying to sleep
This poster relates how his cocker spaniel has a snore that sounds a lot like a little, demon child snoring. He says it is unnerving to his dog’s laugh, a sort of “he he he” at the foot of his bed at night. And every time he hears it his eyes fly open.

29) A good judge of character
This story is classified under the creepily accurate category. It seems that Redditor ch0ding’s dog usually happily approached new people in the house when he was younger. One guy in particular, though, had the dog barking at him viciously causing the guy to leave. A few months later the guy was arrested for several counts of rape.
30) Hello
This poster had a strange experience while lying in bed at night. Tossing and turning, she heard a man’s voice say hello. Thinking maybe she had dreamed it, she brushed it off. The second time, though, her great Dane, who was lying beside her, also reacted, barking at the ceiling. Her dog’s reaction only made it scarier since it was obviously real.
