Husbands and boyfriends sure know how to keep things interesting. It’s a mystery how they can take the most ordinary circumstances and turn them into funny, unforgettable ones. You ask for a favor or set expectations and they insist on going above and beyond – in their own silly way, of course. While girlfriends and wives have to keep a straight face from time to time just to get their men taking them seriously again, there’s just no denying how much more fun life is with these goofballs around.

He asked her how she wanted to celebrate her birthday. Without really giving it much thought, she must have just shrugged and said she wanted the usual, generic celebration. “Say no more,” he thought.

When you’re left in charge of a pet while the owner is away, you make sure it gets fed, stays clean, exercises, and is generally happy. Well, this guy had other things in mind. He brought out the booze and the porn and made sure this turtle enjoyed its stay. Guess this guy just was just made to be the “cool chaperone.”

When you’ve got a magnetic poetry set lying around, you use it to get creative, pass the time, and send a message to the love of your life. This guy definitely knows the way to his girl’s heart which is why he wasted no time composing this masterpiece. John Keats who?
So, Crocs or these?
This guy definitely knows how to get his way. His girlfriend can’t resist making fun of his Crocs and even went as far as telling him that the only time she’ll stop is if he finds an uglier pair to wear. Unfortunately for her, he’s quite the master of procuring cringe-worthy footwear.

Or something that sounds like it, I guess? This guy messed up and decided to think outside of the box with his apology, so he sent these to her office. Aside from giving her and everyone else a good laugh, we’re assuming everything has been forgiven.

We love a guy whose brain works fast. Most people would simply ignore the typo and send a reply, while some choose to gently make fun of it and correct it. Not this one.
This husband just pulled an Alfalfa.
Ah, the honeymoon stage. Where everything is sweet, irresistible, and just peachy and you can get away with leaving little notes like this. We wish we could’ve seen the jaw drop before she figured out what the note really said! Clever guy. Alfalfa would be proud.

It’s sweet when your significant other comes up with unique ways to make you smile and let you know you’re missed. That’s why we’re tipping our hats off to this guy. He definitely knows how to keep his sweetheart laughing!

This guy was pretty bummed that his girlfriend couldn’t be his date to a Halloween party. But he didn’t sulk in a corner or text her the whole night. He decided to celebrate as if she were right there with him – by dressing up as them both. Clever!

Why is it so hard to believe that he married a Sith? I mean, just look at her. She has dark side written all over her. You, pal, are in for quite an interesting ride.

This husband sure is asking for it. His answer to boredom? Fooling around with a Halloween mask and the nanny cam so his wife would have something alarming to receive in her email. We can just imagine the yelling that followed.

“For the past two years, anything sitting in our garage that the wife says we can’t get rid of, I’ve hung as ‘art’ in our otherwise useless front room.” We love how he managed to turn her idea into a worse one – something that would probably make her change her mind about wanting to keep all those.

Coming home to something like this after a tiring day at work? It’s a yes – though the slug-like underworld character doesn’t exactly scream sexy, a relationship cemented by a solid love for Star Wars definitely does.

The kind with acid-spitting Dilophosaurus, that is. We’re not sure we’d like that movie to unfold in our realities but we do love the creativity and imagination this husband has. This, hands down, has to be the best DIY air freshener cover there is.

“My wife wanted to make sure that someone took a picture of the expression on our faces when our daughter was born today. So I took one.” He sure knows how to follow instructions. We’re just not sure this is what she had in mind.

If it’s a Coach bag she wants, it’s a coach bag she’ll get. We’re surprised she’s grinning ear to ear for the photo. What a good sport! In all honesty though, this seemed like such a fun risk to take for the husband’s part. Brave, brave man. (There’d better be a real Coach bag inside the one she’s carrying!)

Why would you? How could you? Even Chandler knew better than to do this to Monica as a joke. We love how he so boldly captioned this “Picking a fight with my wife”, too.

And her dear old dad definitely knows it! When the wife questions why your kid isn’t on your cover photo, you don’t make excuses because your little one is a girl worth fighting for. We love that he didn’t think twice and just got down to business. (Sorry.)

…will make dad the proudest in all of Asgard. This proud father knows his newborn twin girls are worthy, and so he decided to put up a night light that’s just fitting. His wife may not be too pleased with the Mjolnir in their girls’ room, but she’ll thank him someday.

What better way to drop hints than with shadow puppets? Of course, this funny dad’s got to make sure none of the kids are around to question it. We’re guessing he got a ton of eye rolls before she relented.

She wanted a sponge cake, and he delivered. Any guesses as to whether or not she appreciated the sarcasm and sense of humor? There must have been a lecture in there somewhere about wasting ingredients and opening all those packs of sponges.

Because this husband wasn’t taking any chances. His wife had to undergo minor surgery and he wanted everything to go smoothly, so he did what he could to keep her safe. Funny and adorable – he’s definitely a keeper!

With the perfect photo that shows just how much they’re willing to face and survive together. He’s definitely the right man for her… and for touching up photos and giving a whole new meaning to engagement photos.

Who knew athletes and sports enthusiasts could be so clever with gift giving? His choice of present definitely wasn’t what she was expecting but we’re guessing that expression on her face must’ve turned into a happy one when he explains why he gifted her with those.

Proposal jokes aren’t always funny. They can be infuriating or heartbreaking most of the time, especially when you’ve been together for a decade and are wondering just what the next step is for the both of you. We’d love to see him “Lol jk” his way out of this one.

This woman thought she was two steps ahead when she asked her husband to get started on the cooking as she made her way home from work. Little did she know he’d delay the process because the opportunity was just too good to pass up.
At least he tried.
When the wife tries to enforce a “no drinking in the house rule”, the reluctant husband won’t immediately think of complying. He will first try to work his way around the restriction that seems to make life more difficult for him. Nice try, buddy.

Wives don’t always hear their husbands offering to help out in the kitchen so on the rare occasions that they do, the wives are sure not to miss the opportunity. This guy had other things in mind, though.

Here’s another case of a boyfriend asked to watch over his girlfriend’s pet. And like the man who got creative with the turtle, this dude immediately cooked up a plan to make the experience more enjoyable – starting with questionable photos to send to his girlfriend.
The funnier the guy, the happier the girl. Most of the time! A healthy relationship consists of lots and lot of laughter, as well as moments that teach you to be more good natured. We love how these guys unknowingly remind their girlfriends and wives (and the rest of us) to lighten up and have a good laugh.
So the next time your partner tries to pull similar tricks on you, appreciate it. Chances are, it’s being done just to see that smile of yours.
