Owls are very mysterious creatures, with their 270-degree head turns and striking faces. It’s no surprise that we’d be captivated by this beautiful feathered species. Recently young owls have been trending on our social platforms because of the way they sleep. That’s right these majestic creatures sleep on their bellies because their heads are too heavy to sleep upright and it’s pretty darn cute. You won’t want to miss this weirdly adorable sight! 1. Catching Some Zzz’s
After a long day perched up on branches sometimes owls just need a nice “comfortable” nap. Owls don’t sleep for too long though, only about 1-3 hours, and his little guy certainly looks knocked out. But don’t worry no owls were harmed in the taking of this photo. This young owl found himself very cozy on the sandy floor, we almost thought it was a stuffed animal!
2. Hoo Hoo Get Out Of My View
Well hello there! This sleepy owl looks like he needs a little more personal space in order to get some sleep. But it’s rare to see such an adorable owl just lay face down on the turf, you got to snap a photo. That fake grass also seems like a perfect spot to scratch an owl belly on. Zzz sleep tight little guy.
3. Peek A Boo
Owls are such breathtaking animals. Spotting one in the wild is definitely a moment you’ll never forget. When a family found this owl face down on the high branch of a tree they were a bit worried… Until those mysterious eyes popped wide open! The little owl was just taking a quick a quick nap.

Does it get much cuter than this? We doubt it. Baby owls are capturing our hearts like crazy and this little buddy is certainly precious. He found a perfect spot to rest his weary owl eyes and he looks as cozy as can be. Sweet dreams feathered friend.
