Learning how to play an instrument takes quite a lot of time, effort, and patience. It always starts with the basics, too: reading musical notes, understanding how all parts of the instruments work, and gradually learning how to piece all the information together in order to produce pleasant melodies.
Musicians you look up to now had to start at the very beginning themselves, so you can imagine the hours of practice they put in on the daily to achieve their current status. More than practicing and exerting effort, it also takes determination.
In wanting to master an instrument also lies the desire to make good, lasting music that will seal one’s talent and serve as a solid part of the person’s legacy. Music lingers. It identifies the passionate from the mediocre and separates the artist from the rest. If playing an instrument requires quite a lot from a person, how much more does the ability to play multiple instruments at once demand?
Luca Stricagnoli is a guitarist who not only works the strings like a pro but has the rare talent to play three guitars at once. Impressively, Luca can create beautiful arrangements using three instruments and treat listeners to both new and familiar tunes.
Using Standard, Baritone, and 7 String guitars, he shared an amazing version of “Promentory” from the original soundtrack of the 1992 film “The Last of the Mohicans”. The guitar may have a distinct sound but Luca was able to incorporate bass and violin accompaniment in his cover by using a violin bow, as well as by drumming rhythmically on the body of his guitar.
Prepare to be blown away by Luca’s guitar-playing skills with this incredible cover.
