Prom night is such a significant occasion. Prom is a dance party for students in high school!
Girls spend a lot of time fantasizing about and then planning their days.
Aside from who her date will be, the most important factor is what she will wear. The days of being limited to what was sold in brick and mortar stores are long gone. The world is now your catalog, and your options are virtually limitless. However, those alternatives may come at an unexpected cost.
You can critique brick-and-mortar stores all you want, but at least we can see what we’re spending our money on. We can inspect the quality and even try something on and have it fitted.
Here are 28 people who were stunned — not in a good way, but more like they’d been cheated, when they received their dresses.
Clearly, that isn’t the gown you requested. Not at all. I’m curious about how the rear looks. Is it heart-shaped as it should be, or does it also have a rounded shape?
We don’t get to see what the original dress looked like in this scene. What you’re seeing is the difference between the dress that arrived and the outfit that she altered. To be honest, I don’t think the dress she bought is all that horrible. It’s a pretty standard LBD. Perhaps she wasn’t going for a classic look.
Why are all these gowns so long? Even though she may be barefoot, that is still far too long. Of course, it isn’t the major issue with this garment.
Clothing that looks good on boxy figures is difficult to come by. If you want to wear this style, you must have a waist. This appears to be a horrible job, and I don’t believe the seamstress is entirely to blame.
From the top to the thigh, the original features some exquisite needlework. The knockoff isn’t a bad-looking dress, but it’s nothing like the original. Especially since there’s so much tulle from the waist down.
The original has been embellished in various ways. Take a look at those stunning silver or diamond cufflinks. But that’s all there is to it. What’s wrong with the knock-off material? Is that a soiled mirror? Regardless, the cuffs, as well as the fabric, are incorrect.
Her back appears to have a large tongue. I’m not sure, but that sheer fabric doesn’t appear to be very sheer to me. It appears to be a brown-colored fabric.
That’s not even a nightgown for me. How could anyone ship a dress like that? This is unacceptable!
With the beading over the bust, the original is stunning. The woman on the right appears to be wearing a gigantic disco ball. There are two huge disco balls!
Which is the worst? Because, in my opinion, they are both quite unsightly. At the very least, the mannequin’s dress fits her better.
This dress is acceptable from the waist down. It’s acceptable. It’s way too big and just hangs off the bodice. What about the bra inserts? They’re just a joke, after all.
Did she place an order for sleeves? Because I’m aware of the presence of sleeves. Is it true that she sent in her measurements? Because it’s as spherical as a paper bag. Is she going to be able to walk? So many inquiries.
I’m sure these places have a no-return policy, too. You give your money to a website run by folks on the other side of the globe with shaky English language comprehension, and in return, you’ll get garbage. Because this is just nonsense.
Far too large, but not unattractive. The bottom flounce too is incorrect. What’s the good news? She could eat a large supper without worrying about her garment bursting—pun intended.
15. It’s hard not knowing
If I order an off-the-shoulder dress, I should have an off-shoulder. Did this woman specifically request this as part of her order? We don’t have any idea. Regardless, the dress is overly huge, despite the wonderful workmanship.
Let me start by saying that I sew. I’ve been sewing for most of my life. I’m not sure how you were able to do what you did to this outfit. You can’t do this without being aware of what’s going on.
To begin with, her garment appears to be strangling her. Second, was the underskirt added as a result of the slit being too high? Or was it by design and request? It’s not a terrible copy, but it’s still a failure.
Part of the issue, I believe, is that she is too short in the waist for this outfit. Or something like that. The outfit is well-made, sadly, it does not flatter her figure. This is the type of problem that can be remedied by pinning in modifications while the dress is on.
Perhaps. Yet, this still receives an F for a failing grade. While the main pattern is comparable, the dress is much too large, and the fabric is cheap and tacky.
It’s fitting! In certain ways, yes. But that’s where the good news ends. The bodice is a jumble, and the beadwork isn’t even close to matching.
They’re both blue, after all. These dresses, on the other hand, do not resemble each other at all. And then there’s the waistband. What was the source of that?
I have no idea what’s going on here. This appears to be a tiny dress as well as a bolt of cloth. Was she meant to complete it on her own?
Don’t you think the insane, devil eyes pretty much sum up her feelings about this dress? This bodice, on the other hand, is well-fitting and does not need bra inserts!
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen a slit-like that. Everything is beautiful and circular. It only serves to highlight the dress’s flaws.
Well, the hazy photo doesn’t make things any better. But, I believe she could get away with it if that garment was taken apart and re-fitted. Or perhaps not.
It appears to be far too long, but perhaps she intends to wear sky-high heels. While the fit isn’t great, it’s not the worst we’ve seen. This is a lesson!
Why would you go to prom in a virtually see-through dress? Then you have a problem with it being see-through? And, of course, it’s too huge. Which is probably a good thing in this scenario.
That is, stunningly horrible. And the socks aren’t helping matters. It doesn’t help that it just hangs on her. Is it just me, or does it appear that there is some excess cloth bunched up above her butt?
