It’s always fun to go out and try new restaurants, either alone or with family and friends. After all, food is one of the many pleasures in a world with so many different cuisines. Then you have all those restaurants with different themes and designs. It’s a perfect time to make memories and take pictures.
This is especially true of unique restaurants – and there are plenty of them.
These restaurants are definitely worth the look (and even a visit, should you feel so inclined). So take your pick and start booking!
1. Clifton’s Cafeteria in Los Angeles
The wackiest part – their decor, which consists of moving dioramas of taxidermied bears and raccoons. We’re guessing vegetarians weren’t big fans.
2. Hello Kitty Dream Restaurant in Beijing
The restaurant remains faithful to the theme inside with decor, waiter uniforms, specialty drinks, and menu items that are all exclusively Hello Kitty-themed.
A Kotaku reviewer wrote about his experience saying it’s “an overload of pink.”
3. Barbie Restaurant in Taipei
Everything from the waitresses, menu items, and decor are inspired by the popular plastic doll, so ready your senses for a very girly time.
4. Airplane Restaurant in Colorado Springs
It’s a great place to take pictures while waiting for the food. We just wonder if the bathrooms are tiny.
5. Christon Cafe in Tokyo
Dozens of dangling crucifixes and a huge altar dedicated to the Virgin Mary can be found inside, and the colors do bring that church vibe.
You better say grace!
6. Fortezza Medicea in Siena
The tourist attraction’s restaurant is located where political prisoners were once held. Cells surround diners enjoying their Italian food with the former military fortress another perfect place for photos.
A little eerie for our tastes, how about you?

They are nimble and agile enough to show off their skills while they serve – from backflips to random fire tricks!

Fans of the “Alien” franchise will love the design, courtesy of Giger’s genius. Xenomorph skeletons seem to make up the interior making for a very surreal experience.

Customers can also take souvenir photos with the busty waitresses who dress in hospital gowns – as long as they don’t need to head right to the ER.

Frankly, we’re not quite sure how to feel about all this.
16. Please Don’t Tell in New York
You’ll have to slide in so be graceful about it, and the bar is often full so it’s much better to have a reservation.
17. Onkel Taa in Parcines
The owner has an obsession with snails so you’ll find lots of fossilized snails and mollusks, with even the menu including snails in the selections. They also have a snail breeding facility and a mineral water spring, which they say has healing powers.

21. Opaque Restaurant in Los Angeles
