Dogs and cats are curious creatures. When they go outside to play, they want to sniff and explore everything and everywhere possible. So, of course, it’s only natural for them to want to get up close and personal with a funny-looking, flying thing like a bee! The only problem is…well…bees sting.
Here are 13 pets who got a little too close to a bee and the sting left them with adorably swollen faces.
We don’t want to giggle, but we can’t help it. They look too cute. And don’t worry…no animals were seriously harmed and the swelling went away after a few days.
1. Big Chin
This cat has the most prominent chin that we’ve ever seen. It is the result of an accidental bee sting. He is so masculine-looking now.
2. Balloon Head
In this household, the family puppy actually ate a bee. Her throat didn’t swell shut, but her face definitely ballooned up. It’s currently the biggest part of her body
3. Playing Around
One paw is bigger than the other here as well. We wonder why? Was the cat outside playing with those buzzing insects again?
4. Red-Nosed Cat
If Santa used cats instead of reindeer to pull his sleigh, this one would be named Rudolf. He has the biggest and reddest nose of anyone we know. Luckily, it’s only temporary.
5. Feeling Dizzy
This pup looks a little out of sorts. It’s because she also ate a bee. So many pets are doing it these days. It’s practically a fad.
6. Celebration Fail
“Rocky ate a bee to celebrate National Dog Day,” explains the owner. It didn’t taste very good. Next year, he will probably celebrate with a strip of beef jerky instead.
7. Paw Problems
It’s pretty shocking how big some cat’s paws become when they get stung. This cat’s left front paw is almost twice the size of the other one. We imagine it’s quite hard to walk in that condition.
8. Losing Battle
Here is another pet who lost a fight with a bee. He bit the bee, and the bee attacked back using its stinger. One sting was all it took to cause a whole lot of damage.
9. Ridiculously Good-Looking
One of the requirements to be a male model is having a defined jawline. This cat could easily qualify. It has the biggest chin ever thanks to a bee sting!
10. Dinner Mistake
We don’t know what it is about pets and eating bees, however, a lot of pets do it. Once you try eating a bee once, you probably won’t do it again, but you have to learn somehow.
11. Painful Experience
It’s never fun getting stung by a bee. This dog knows that for a fact. He is not happy at all with the little predicament that he got himself in.
12. Angry Cat
This cat is not happy about what happened to him. He is already plotting his revenge. That annoying bee is going to pay for stinging him!
13. Adorable Or Not?
The puppy was really cute up until the bee sting. Now he looks a little ridiculous. Hopefully, the other puppies don’t tease him too much for his goofy appearance.
